Hello I dont know if this question respects only the LG O1 but I am gonna start from here.
I had my phone on my desk and suddenly I found out that
the lock screen is gone (when I press the lock button the screen just turns off)
the home button was not working - responding alone
the airplane and silent mode were gone only power off selection existed when I had the lock button pressed
and all my calls were automatically reset.
I tried to reboot and remove the buttery and/or SIM but no luck. I dont want to factory reset at all is there anything I can do throw the ADB shell. Any place were I can look at
I am experiencing the exact same problem since late last night. In addition the Home button and Search button do not work (when pressed they illuminate the screen - since there is no lock anymore) however do not carry the intended function (of returning to home menu or searching).
Can someone please help! I have already sent 2 random (and one embarrassing ) SMS to people on my contact list.
I know one easy way so READ CAREFULLY
1: find and install "Power Control Plus" widget from market.
2: Add Lock on/off widget to background and disable.
It's that easy
So this is just for the lock I will see something about other stuff u said.
Thanks ljubisa_sk
Unfortunately the widget does not lock the screen - actually it has no effect nether this, nor other 'screen locker' apps in the market
My phone is branded and locked to Three Ireland (H3G).
Does anyone know whether there was some sort of OTA update rolled out automatically or something similar?
I know this is old and the issue still remains.
However, what I have seen now is that when I put the phone on airplane mode, the screen lock appears and I can slide to unlock.
As soon as the airplane mode is off, I get back to the same symptoms.
Can anyone help please??? I am really getting annoyed with my phone.

Click to collapse
but the phone is 2 months old only - I'd rather not void the warranty.
I was hoping for a solution here as I'm not in Ireland anymore to send it to the Three store.
Better void warranty, lg os is the most crappy thing I've experienced.after first inversion of void Rom I was stunned by it's speed and with the touchscreen fix you will experience new powers of this cheap phone.I've voided my warranty in the first month . Good luck.

Hi there to everyone, I broke only the glass on my screen couple of weeks ago (it felt face down from about half a meter, thats stupid) and I change only the glass my self but since then i have a problem with the screen like: if I press a bit harder anywhere on the screen for about 2 sec the screen became irresponsible and also the back and menu buttons, home and power button work normal. If I press the home button it react as it should, it goes to home screen, so it's just the screen frozen on touch and I have to lock and unlock the phone to go to normal. On daily use it's not such a big problem as i don't press the screen too hard, the problem mostly occurs when playing games.
I would try a hard reset but I not rooted as I use some apps that don't work if I'm rooted and I can't save all my settings, saves and apps and personally I hate to reinstall everything back again.
I'm thinking this is a hardware problem but why it goes to normal only after lock/unlock procedure and i also find on a forum that this can be from the screen protector. It's something similar with the phone in this video the difference being that mine it freezing and that it moving by itself. youtube.com/watch?v=isBDKgxB5vs
Did anyone also experience this?
PS. I sorry for my english as it's not my own language but I'm trying to make my self clear as best as i can, Thank you
Hello everyone,
I think this is the right place, so if I am wrong please let me know and I'll check it out.
My trouble is that a little zone of my phone screen just broke, exactly on the bottom right, then I can't press the buttons displayed there. For the same reason, when I turn the phone on, and shows the first screen to introduce the PIN, I can't press both 9 and "ok" button, so I can't continue using the phone.
That's why I would like to know about any rom with reverse orientation screen by default to can use it when I have to press some button on the broken zone and what is more, even in the PIN menu. Also, if there's no one, maybe anyone can know how to make a mod for it, or the code lines that should been changed for the correct reverse orientation screen.
Please, I would be very appreciate if anyone can help me, since I can't use the phone and I really need it a.s.a.p.
Thank you very much for everyone in advance. Hope anyone knows how to fix it.
please watch this video on youtube first.

As you see in the video, my lg g2 get black screen all the boot long. it happens to me after i made OTA update to the newer version available.
even if the screen is cloudy or totally black the phone fully working.
but if i tun it off and then press down button with power button most of the time i get the screen work.
the screen is original and never changed.
for some reason it feel like this is an INIT issue but i can put me finger on it and i would like for some help
if there is any way to fix it, or if replace the screen may help.
thanks!!!
Hi everyone. After changing the usb pin of my phone, the touch screen started doing some weirds things. Sliding among desktops is rather laggy. Pressing an icon is not enough to get the app (or whatever) to work, a second attemp is neccesary in any other part of the screen in order to make it happen. The physical buttons seems to be working fine so far.
In further investigations it seems like pressing on the screen is well detected, since i can press an icon and move it around a desktop. But unpressing anything goes undetected.
I see no physical damage on the screen or the flex that connects it to the motherboard. This is not an issue related to any especific rom or kernel since i tried with a couple of them before getting to this point. Is there any app that allows me to monitor what part of the screen is being touch?
Can this be resolved by a firmware update of any kind of just a hardware replacement?
Cheers
