Hi, is there a way to reduce the system wide strength of the feedback touch, it's really annoying , like little little pharts. I'd like to be able to set like the vibration in gboard, can get that nice and subtle. Many thanks.

OK been using adj brightness in the market and it was brilliant in brightness control. Unfortunately it doesn't work on the galaxy s2 and because my eyes play up, am finding the phone to bright for me especially when using it at night when lights are off, what alternatives are their to lower the brightness level please.?
For Amoled screens of any type "Screen Filter" seems to be the best.
I agree. Screen Filter seems to be excellent and can make the screen as dark as you ever want. (to a level that no LCD can ever go to imo)
Thanks guys it worked it is the best av seen so far.
I got mine sgs2 on Saturday and hadn't really thougth I would need an App to control this, the settings ont he power widget were good enough for me. However, I tried this out for a laugh and it works well. Will definitely use it at night time.
Although at the moment I am just enjoying the super brightness
Birghtness control from the notification bar
Can one still adjust the brightness by swiping the finger along the notification bar, like one did on the i9000?
Can one disable the automatic brightness from somewhere in the settings menu on the i9100 in the same way as the i9000?
Yep, same thing works in the SGSII.

Your location is marked as London, so I think that you ought to be able to write a non-nonsensical sentence in English. No offence, but this is unintelligible!

Hi Crypticc,
You misunderstood what I wrote.
1) I referred to a partially completed sentence:
" How I just tried dropped down and not" - not what?
2) You have confused the verb 'to swipe' with an application called Swype.
As I noted, you wrote your location was from London, yet that you are not a native anglophone; No problem, but I was a little confused in the beginning.
To summarize: Your reply confused me. You partially clarified what you wrote, and now I understand. Thank-you.
* Back on topic
In order to change the brightness by swiping along the notification bar, please ensure that you have turned off the automatic brightness adjustment setting in the menu. I do not recall the exact name. Then, it should work.
I think that this can be found in : Settings -> Display -> Brightness
Best regards.

I tried rather than did that's the problem
( swype just replaced swipe with swype - oh and it replaced a few other words too).
That said, thanks for the tips folks; both on previewing/reviewing posts, plus on how to swipe to change the brightness.
What would you all suggest be the optimal brightness setting to put the phone on?

I believe such customizations are rarely offered on the stock user interface layer and is considered a deeper level of customization, so you'll need to root your device to make such changes.
Wish this phone have the notch/status bar settings like in the G7 etc. Did I miss something?
Which settings? The V60 has settings under New Second Screen, which of course is confusing with the dual screen.

Oh my word I totally missed that smh haha. Had the phone in Night mode so it was grayed out and I never bothered paying it any mind.
Night mode is best mode anyway!
I installed Natcho Notch to hide mine most of the time. It doesn't work with my games, though. You know, if they would've went with a basic screen without a fake cutout with the dual case, I'd probably use it a lot more. I know they did it to be symmetrical with the main screen, but I would appreciate seeing everything.

Good look, I'll have to check that out for myself. I think maybe LG was lazy and or cutting cost. Either way it makes no sense and takes away from the dual screen a bit to have the notch there. But aside from that I'm really digging the dual screen, ESPECIALLY after installing the Wide Mode app from the Play Store. Wide Mode everything haha
Anyone know how to hide the notch on the second display? I remember during the initial setup of the phone there was an option to keep the notch on the second display but now I can't find it in the settings.

You can not hide the notch on the dual screen, only on the main display. Go to display>new second screen. Have to have night mode off though.

I just use a black wall paper with immersive mode from system ui tuner and I don't ever notice the notch on either side.

I remember this option as well. You'd think you would have the option in settings again...i can't find anything weird.
I have this problem mostly when i type on keyboard.. sometimes i have to double press the letters or some ghost touch happen while typing..

I use swift key.. same on all keyboards.. lag-delay and sometimes ghosting while typing fast.. super annoying.. mi 9 lite was much better.. hope it gets fixed
I experience this issue mainly towards the edge of the screen. So I installed SwiftKey and resized the keyboard to fit only to the flat part of the screen. I think it's better this way.
after that i think the best thing is to stay with my lovely mi 9 lite, even if i don't like the thing that it doesn't interest too much devs for roms and modded apps like gcam lol

There is not setting to adjust sensitivity.. there is a setting to avoid accidental touches and have nothing to do with the issue of lag-ghosting on touch. dont spam the thread with nonsense please

I second this. I have increased the pointer speed to the maximum (apparently pointer speed has to do something with touch sensitivity) and I experience a significant improvement in touch sensitivity when typing. Thank you.

Yeah, pointer speed is for a physical mouse. It's not going to change your touch sensitivity at all...

I also have problems, even after setting Messenger to ignore battery optimization. The only way of getting it to work for me is enabling Chat bubbles and thats not a solution I like
I could never get it to wake up the screen. I actually prefer it that way since it provides more privacy to wandering eyes. Maybe a routine could be executed to wake up the screen upon recieving an incoming message.
