After updating to stock Pie US99830b, apps like google maps cannot find the phone's location exactly. Location on the map just jumps between places near the real location.
I've go back and forth between stock Oreo and Pie, and notice this happens only on Pie.
Any one faced the same issue?

1) You should turn that on. Helps with location inside buildings.
2) You still didn't answer my main question.

I just checked on my backup US998 V30+ which has Pie -- and it's the the High Accuracy mode. Make sure it's toggled on.

Hello,
I recently rooted my Galaxy s7 and there has been one annoyance I haven't been able to figure out despite exhaustive searching. When I turn on GPS, no matter the mode, I get a location consent dialog every time. I have been unable to find a solution that addresses this directly, and there is no module on Xposed for it. There is another dialog box that appears if I want to be in power saving or high accuracy mode, and this is to improve location accuracy by sending anonymous data to Google (agree/disagree). In order for me to be able to use high accuracy GPS this must be agreed to. There are two modules in Xposed that address this, but they bar the user from being able to use high accuracy and power saving location modes in so doing, as it defaults to GPS only if you don't agree to the prompt. I have looked on gravitybox and XTouchWiz and have found nothing that fixes this problem. GPS only is insufficient for me because it has a lot of trouble finding my location and I would rather sacrifice battery life (and privacy) in order to have fast, accurate GPS. I am using a simple Tasker task to auto enable/disable GPS for certain apps, but if I choose high accuracy I have to agree to the improve location accuracy dialog every single time I open these apps. At this point, I think I will have to just leave high accuracy mode on all the time and hope it doesn't completely ruin all of the progress I've made since rooting on the battery front... If anyone has feedback or guidance I would be tremendously grateful.

Why on Earth is it this way???
Would loce to get a module that enablesbhigh accuracy and kills it when not required
What you can do, which i will likely do, you can automate touch events with tasker.

Totally avoids the popup
Sucks that we can't turn location OFF and back on without this annoying AF popup tho...
Someone has to be able to get rid of it

Just what it says it does. My only problem with the Wear24 was keeping the screen on while debugging or charging. This app fixes that problem.
The latest update adds support to change screen brightness while charging. Make sure you grant settings permissions when it asks.

Thanks!! This is the only app that sets my Huawei Watch's brightness lower than system setting.
Is it possible to set ambient brightness lower also?

This changes both modes on the Wear24. I believe there is no way to manually trigger ambient mode, so I don't think I can do much with that. Does the Huawei watch have separate brightness settings? I may get out my Moto360 sport and see how it works on that.

If I'm correct, there is no option to set ambient mode brightness on Huawei Watch, and it's way too bright in my opinion...
Thanks for this. I use Google Pay so I'm required to use a lockscreen on my watch. Debugging apps over cable was a nightmare with constant turning of a screen and unlocking.
I only enabled Screen on while Debugging at first, but the screen won't turn off at all while the app is installed. ADB Debugging is off. Also, when Change Brightness is enabled, it changes the brightness when charging, but then does not set the brightness back to whatever it was after taking it off the charger.

Hey,
The debugging just checks to see if ADB is enabled using:
https://developer.android.com/reference/android/provider/Settings.Global.html#ADB_ENABLED
To stop this behavior, you have to go into the developer settings and turn adb off or swipe away the locked on notification. I'd be welcome to change this if you know of a way to check if an Android device is actively being debugged.
I am not able to replicate the issue with the brightness being reset. I would suggest swiping away the notification if it is active before charging, then adjusting the brightness and placing it on the charger again to see if this fixes it.
Also, the charge functionality will not work on Android 8 devices since background services are not allowed to be started from a receiver like charging. I'd also change this if there is another way.

I tried to install it on Sony Xperia Z5 Premium Dual Phone and Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet. I don't upgraded my Wear24 to Wear OS 2.0 and I cant find Play Store in apps of watches. When I am searching WatchWake on phone or tablet it can't be found but it available to search in browser but can't be install because of incompatible. Other Wear OS apps I installed to phone and after that it was installed to Wear24 by Wear OS app from phone.

Since you haven't updated your Wear24 to 2.0, it will not appear on the play store. I decided not to support Wear 1 on the play store as this requires a mobile app and usually leads to lots of bad reviews from users who install it on their phone and don't see the app and the new method only works half the time which also causes bad reviews. The app should support the watch, but you will have to sideload it. search for "Watchwake apk" and you should be able to find it.

Glad you got it working! Keep in mind leaving the app running may cause burn-in on the Wear24 so I would suggest not leaving it on for long periods of time.

You can with AutoWear. The Brightness setting accepts values between 0 - 255. At night I set it to 51 (watch brightness level 1) and 204 during the day (watch brightness level 3).

On my Wear24, this app works to reduce the brightness of the default blue charging display, but not the actual Ambient mode, which can in fact be triggered manually - after dismissing the default display, just smoosh your palm on the whole screen! (this still works while it's on the charger) - Doing that turns the brightness back up.
Would there be any way to detect when I do it while it's charging and turn the brightness back down where I set it?
Can someone confirm this bug? I can't seem to be able to turn CABL off. Even though I turned it off in the MIUI settings (through a link generated by Nova launcher), the phone still boost the backlight when there is a white text on a black background. Scrolling through a webpage with a dark background constantly changes the backlight level. Very irritating when trying to read at night.

I turned off adaptive brightness, but while manual brightness is set to maximum I noticed the screen also increases/decreases brightness depending on the outdoor conditions. Sometimes seems it gets even brighter that max manual setting.

Hi @mejgs
I too had this annoying issue. Apparently this is caused by an app called "Device Health Services". Disabling it solved the issue for me. Do give it a try & let us know your observation
I noticed it too. Did u experience any issue when disabling it? I am rooting, thinking of uninstalling it altogether. Google has some unwanted apps bundled with Android one.

Disabled it, still the same issue. So far tried:
- Turned off adaptive brightness, rebooted
- Turned off adaptive battery, rebooted
- Disabled Device Health check, rebooted
- A combination of above
Still nothing!
It's getting beyond irritating now. Everytime I need to read any message or do anything on the phone need to manually lower the brightness and increase it again. That normalizes it for a like half a minute and then goes dim again.
Same issue with my Mi A3 and adaptive auto brightness.
I keep adaptive brightness on all time and when I unlock directly with fingerprint sensor half of the times if not more phone wakes up with high brightness...and doesn't go down...slider is on the dark side and not showing the real brightness...and to change the brightness I have to move around the slider...
It is quite annoying..I disabled device health and seems slightly better but the bug is still there...am I the only one with this problem?
I don't think its a bug but rather a way for the optical in-display fingerprint to properly recognize our fingerprints.

Good night from Spain! Hope you are having a good quarentine (who has it).
These days I was trying to dive in Tasker a bit and I did 2 modules that I will attach in files. All of them are FULLY CUSTOMIZABLE once you saved in your Tasker profiles repository:
1.- Shake the phone to open/close torch
2.- Activate autorotate in Youtube, Maps, Google Photos and GCam. Deactivate when leave the apps
3.- Night with no data/wifi connexion + when display off
4.- Display off goes to 2G data
5.- Maybe the king... All 120hz except Youtube, Maps, Camera, some games... to 60hz
Sorry, most of you couldn't enter to see the tasks in tasknet, so I've posted as attached files
I just get an error when trying to import the 120Hz -> 60Hz one.. :silly:

Just Tasker, the 1st and yes, it's changing from 4g to 2g when your screen is off, and viceversa. I tryied to apply with an action called "device idle" but is more strict than the normal Deep sleep, so it's not working a lot. Now we should check if our battery increases slightly or not, because I don't know if changing between 2g-4g is wasting baterry too.

Yes! Just configure the monitoring files. Tasker reminds you each X to do it. You have to allow tasker to be completely full on background. If it doesn't work, just uninstall and reinstall Tasker and allow everything again (Powermaster autostart, not closing apps, no battery optimization, etc.). It worked for me when I had probs in the past
