FF's database was down, it's back up now.
My firmware is the bla-L29 8.0.0.126 and I'm still with the March security patch.
To update, pay the Funkhuawei or wait for the update to arrive?

Was the firmware approved for download? In my bla-L29 8.0.0.126 says that the firmware are not approved for download, although it manages to download using FF itself.

Internal storage, but you'd need to update TWRP to this one which has decryption support: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-10/development/huawei-mate-10-pro-twrp-3-2-1-0-t3769904

I'm using this one. Was the first one with an BLA-L09 device. If I place it on the internal storage, won't it be deleted, because I've to wipe all partitions? Sry for so much questions, I only won't brick my phone. Now a lot about this stuff, but each phone is unique and has its own special things to look for.

You don't need to Wipe anything. Internal sd is mounted in /data which is not wiped.
Well, it's either that or use HWOTA to update.
Or wait for firmware to be approved

It's approved for my device. But it should be blocked on the device or I'm wrong. On my last devices, I wasn't able to update the original firmware from the system itself, because TWRP and Magisk were installed.

Yeah, you'd have to restore stock Recovery, and OTA might install (it checksums partitions and if they don't match the update fails)
You could still use Firmware finder to install FullOTA.

A little info on your part may help here, ie. the model of your phone or your location as the Android 9 (Pie) has very limited release for the single sim and the dual sim is only slightly better.. There are a few ways to flash firmware a) Sony Flashtool or b) Newsflasher c) Adb, search the XDA a bit there are some excellent guides on how to use both... ( homework time)
Also you may want to mention what OS you have on your computer as installing drivers for adb, fastboot ect. vary for each, windows 7 and 8 are pretty basic but on 10 you will need to disable the signature verification before you can install the drivers and Linux is a whole other thing.. so give us some info.. read a bit and get back to us.

Huawei has rolled out the pie updates for all variants of the mate 10, so you should have gotten it, you might want to try checking when you are connected via WiFi our using a computer and HiSuite. On my debit only sees updates that way so it might also apply to yours as well.

Huawei has rolled out pie for your variant quite some time ago, all mate 10 devices have been updated already with the exception of those that unlocked and flashed custom ROMs. Since you tried WiFi and HiSuite already right now you really don't have many options except possibly contacting customer service and see if they can push the update to your phone. The only other way I can think of right off hand is the dload method of updating which I am not really familiar with (you'd have to search for the instructions on that method). Good luck

First thing check for HiCare update in the playstore.
Then go to HiCare>settings>updates
Request for updates.
Some people got updates after changing region mostly to Asia (Malaysia, Singapore etc). So, change region to Europe or any mideastern country, reboot the phone then change to any Asian country and go to HiCare>settings>updates

My Hi care app version is 9.1.5.302 ang I've been changing my device location to Singapore than restart my device but seem it doesn't work.
Check your IMEI
Check your IMEI at Imei.info to make sure that your device is brand new and not a refurbished one, cause your case may be due to a refurbished device.

Have you tried dload with OTG storage?
What about e-recovery? This can be used in conjunction with firmware finder with an "approved for installation" firmware if you're able to change the DNS in your local router.

Hi, i have a mate 20 pro model c212 (at&t mexico), i want to install a new firmware for example c62 or c432, i can? or not? Pleas help me!
You could update main base easily, but that could screw the futur C212 stock OTA Updates if the new base version number you re flashing is not or won t be an official C212 base version number.
What is the matter with your LYA C212 ?
-still on emui9.0 and you want emui9.1 ?
-security patches date too old on latest C212 ?

You could use a service firmware to change cust, preload and base to a different region. I did this back and forth from C432 to C636 when I saw fit using the dload method.

Hm, when I used FH a while back it switched me to C636 - and every OTA I received was C636 - I couldn't return to C432 via any method until I tried dload and it worked for me. It may be because my device is natively C432.
I still don t understand how these previous FH updates managed to softrebrand just fine kirin980 devices.
Your build number once rebranded, in about phones, was then C636ExRyPz or you were missing the RyPz part?

There will be guides around on our device forum. But basically requirements:
USB Stick (formatted exFAT)
USB OTG
You will need to download the service firmware, for this I used androidhost ru and firmware 9.1.0.300 C432.
You will have 3 zip files inside the firmware, you must create a folder on the USB stick called 'dload' and inside this folder you put the three zip files (named like update_sd_base.zip etc). Plug USB stick into device with OTG adapter and then open dialer and type *#*#2846579#*#* and choose software upgrade then memory card upgrade. Should restart and upgrade device to your new firmware (don't unplug USB during this process and make sure you have above 30% battery)

Well if he was speaking about that then there's no guidance I can provide him. It's a paid service and doesn't really require a 'guide' as it's simple. He can check out their website, but regardless - if he wishes to try the dload method then there's there guide.

Interesting! Tell us a little more about the issues, if you can.
I will have to rethink about update to 10, in this case!
Was it the beta version of 10?
If so, then you should be able downgrade, I suppose.

Install dload emui10 C45's cust&preload.
If not available, a fix would be to rename emui10 dload cust&preload from wrong cust region to right C45 filenames with right vendorcountry name for your device.
You'll end up with a booting device which will work fine for now with wrong region cust&preload until C45's are available.
