There's a forum for the Huawei Nova where you can find custom ROMs for your phone and where you can ask your question:

Hi, I have a device tree of Redmi 2 here: https://github.com/nick37332001/android_device_wingtech_wt88047 . This device tree is originally for building Cyanogenmod, so I would like to know how to port AOSP here. Thanks!
Hi,
I'm building a cm12.1 ROM for mt6589 but I'm lacking device tree. We have a cm12.0 device tree here: https://github.com/Preet23/android_device_micromax_a116/tree/cm-12.0_dev1 but it seems to be full of bugs. I want to know if it's possible to build a new device tree from mt6592 for mt6589? Because mt6592 has a cm12.1 device tree and it's having very less bugs.

probably not, look for device trees from phones with the same processor then use this guide:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2010281
Anybody compiled and booted cm13 for generic mtk devices using prebuilt 3.4.67 kernel ??
Will be glad if someone share the device tree and vendor blobs.
Note: - this thread has been made for Q/A for Cm bringup for mtk devices developers working on it can share their info.
Device Redmi note prime Gucci msm8916
Present Xiaomi has released kikat kernel
But android devs are less for this device present I am trying to build android n
But I have tried so many errors with kernel and my device is not booting
So present I have seen about caf kernel
But I don't have much information about caf kernel please tell how to use caf kernel sources
And please tell commits
Code Arora forums (caf) is the place where u can get drivers for the hardware. U can synchronise from its git same way u sync android sources
well i didnt know where to ask so i made my thread here
i'm kind of new to Custom rom Building but i've started to get well
there is a couple of question i would like to ask
i have a Huawei Holly Hol-U19 android phone and it has a 7.1 RR rom ,
so first do if i like to build an oreo rom , i know that i need to have the device tree and vendor tree
as i was looking around github , i have found a device tree but i can post it cuz i am new here .... just search liquidporting huawei holly
but under branch i get CM 14.1 Which is Android 7.1
my question is do i need a device tree which has a CM 15 branch ?
my second question is .. i looked online and saw that to build a device tree you need the boot.img and recovery.img of the stock rom , but the stock rom is 4.4.4 and the highest rom i can find which is 7.1 so is there any way i could make a 8.0 ROM ?? without a CM 15 Device tree ?
and somehow i can find its vendor tree ... so if someone made a full explaintion i would be delighted
