Root without bootloader code - Huawei P20 Lite Questions & Answers

So I want to root my P20 lite, but most things require a bootloader unlock code, which you can't get anymore. Does anyone know how I can still get a code or root without it?

if you dont want to search info, then better dont try to do it!
Best regards

[Q] simplist way to unlock bootloader & root

what is the simplest, fastest and safes way to unlock the bootloader of his phone,
furthermore can I use flashtool to root his phone and install other kernals ect,
I have tried *#*#7378423#*#* and it says ''yes'' [as his phone is sim unlocked but I know that he has not unlocked the bootloader himself]
thank you for your time and help in advance :good:
The simplist way to unlock bootloader is the official way.. but you will lose warranty and DRM keys.

Click to collapse

http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/ , just read very carefully!10 times before you unlock it.

[Q] Why no official way to root an Android device?

Some phone makers like Sony provide an official way to e.g. unlock the boot loader.
I just wonder, why the heck don´t phone makers also provide an official way to get root access on your phone!?
I mean, they could say "we give you an easy and official way to get root, but you will lose your warranty". It is about choice, why don´t they give us the choice?
I like the way Sony provides an easy and official way to unlock the boot loader. You give your IMEI and they give you a code to unlock the boot loader.
They could do it exactly the same way to get root access. No more hacks needed.
If the phone makers are reluctant to give us easy and official way for root, why is Google also reluctant to give us this right?
Google could easily include an easy way into Android to give users easiely root access if they want to and know, what they do.
This is like Microsoft hiding the real administrator account from users.

Trying to flash my M4 to older or different ROM so i can unlock bootloader

hi there,
like the title says im trying to flash a different / older/ stock ROM to see if i can unlock the bootloader and or if anyone knows a way i can root my device without the bootloader that would be great too but i think ive expended all my options..... if you can help in any way that would be great! thank you
also i have flashtool downloaded but can not get it to work with my device just keeps saying my bootloader can not be officially unlocked ..... can it be unofficially unlocked?
You have to use the Xperia M2 method to unlock the bootloader as there is still no official way.
There are more than enough guides in other topics where you can read how to unlock your bootloader. First enter the service menu(*"*"service"*"*) and check is it is allowed on your device. If it says 'no' there is no way to unlock. Also if you can unlock don't forget to tick the box in developer options
For root you can afaik just install twrp for locked bootloaders and flash a root (supersu for example)
thanks guys ,
yes i have looked into the tutorials and cannot seem to make it work.
i tried the m2 method and nothing either ..... my bootloader says it cannot be unlocked but ive been reading and apparently there is a way to get around it .... ive successfully flashed different ROMS to try and gain root access too but with no luck
so i guess im asking if anyone has had luck with unclocking there "locked" bootloader on an m4 or if it is even possible at all?
any help is greatly appreciated

Unlocked Bootloader: NO

Hi Masters!
I want to use systemless root on my Z2 but my bootloader status says 'no'. Is there a way we can turn 'no' into 'yes' like force it? Or is it possible to use systemless root even if my bootloader is locked with a stock kernel??
Thank you for your answers!
Is your phone carrier-branded?
Yes my phone is locked to a carrier? I called them to request an unlock but they refer me to a local technician to unlock. But I don't want to spend just to get it carrier-unlocked. Hopefully there is a way for me to do it on my own.
Sorrily, as of now, there is none... Spending for an unlock code would only get you carrier-unlocked...

Root huawei l-21?

I am trying to unlock the bootloader but every tutorial ever says I need to get an unlock code from Huawei's own website, but the link does not exist on their website. There is no way to get the code to unlock the bootloader anymore. Is there another way than this block? If its relevant, after the unlock you flash twrp to it.
