Cann't Update my POCO - Xiaomi Poco F1 Questions & Answers

Hello ,
I have rooted my Poco F1 though Magisk root method , Now whenever I try to update the system , the update don't complete due to the existence of TWRP recovery … So How can I Bypass it to complete the update ? or what I certainly should do ?
Thanks in advance

Download the update from the website and flash it with TWRP, also don't forget to reflash Magisk right after before rebooting.

Thank you for your help, but I can't find a trusted link for it, can you help with this?

rooted device and OTA update

hey I have the redmi note 4 sd edition global stable , I wanna update to the latest V8.5.8.0 but my device is rooted and twrp is installed.. I tried by downloading from the updater but I got in the twrp recovery. when I root a device I know I can't get ota updates.. but I don't wanna lose my files photos etc... if I download the latest version with zip extension then I can get on the twrp recovery and flash it ? or I think there is way in the updater to flash a zip.. am I gonna lose files if I try any of these methods ? what about format ? do I need it?
Hi
I found myself in the very same situation, and despite a little bit of trial and error look at what finally helped me to update and regain root, I kept all my data and settings. No bugs so far!

P10...we need a nice thread to ...

Well,a lot of people have debranded/to manually install Oreo VTR-L29C432 B360 with the Method proposed...
now,we need a nice/clean tuto for INSTALL TWRP and ROOT with magisk or phh superuser.
Question is... After installing
TWRP: will we get updates/security updates from huawei AFTER flashing twrp ? ... If yes, will they install normally and work like nothing happened
ROOT: about same things as TWRP .... and after installing updates,we loose everything (twrp/root)
cuz bootloader is unlocked.
When i was on Nova Plus, TWRP/ROOTED with phh superuser i couldnt receive any updates at all...I received a n update once (from ROGERS ),dloaded it,let it do its thing,install/reboot (it was an official update OTA) and it always ended in a fail install...even if ive flashed original recovery so.
so many things after twrp/root is installed and receive/install official OTA

To answer you questions, You can receive updates from Huawei even if you are on twrp it just won't install because you need stock recovery for it to complete the installation , that's the reason why when you debrand your phone it installs the stock recovery as part of the process. Second it is possible to root being on Oreo with magisk @Blackball has a tutorial covering that. I'm on Oreo and also I have root and twrp install. Also there are several ways of installing updates one of them is to go back to stock recovery and waot for oficial updates you can also use proxy method with firmware finder as long as the update is approved for your IMEI, anyways there are several tutoriales covering all of this and many other thing just have to look a bit more through the rabbit hole.

New Update for P20 LITE i can't install it

Hi experts,
I just get notification in my phone p20 lite that there is a new update to install it the new update is ANE-LXE 8.0.0.142(C185)-FULL
The probleme is : i can't install it the phone reboot than he enter to twrp than i reboot twrp to system after that i get a notification said that the new update has been failed my bootloader is unlocker
my question how can i back my phone as i bought from the factory to get normal update.
or if there is anyway to install update and keep twrp and everything ok
Thank you for your help
You can not update your cell phone via OTA if you have a custom recovery, you need to have the recovery of stock. simply flash the stock and after updating you will flash TWRP again
Or
You can use Hurupdate, this allows you to update from TWRP
Thank your for your reply i have an official rom what can i do ?
is there any video explain how to make update using Hurupdate ?
Thank you

[SOLVED] Pocophone F1 won't boot after flashing latest version of TWRP!

community, i need your help.
today i unlocked bootloader on my pocophone f1.
then i followed instructions for flashing twrp. i flashed latest version of twrp (from twrp official site), then flashed "disable force encryption", clicked "reboot" and the phone just keeps rebooting on opening screen with "pocophone by xiaomi" logo. i went back to twpr, cleared dalvik/cache and did factory reset and result is the same.
before flashing twrp i was on latest global stable miui 11.0.4 (android 10).
what went wrong and how to fix this? thank you in advance!

Im also new to this thing, but i have suggest you to flash to stock first to fix bootloop.
My method is using XiaoMiFlashTool, before that you need to have stock rom to flash and rename it to PIE.
I also put that folder into desktop. ( more detail maybe you could search on youtube i think )
Then, bring your poco to fastboot mode, then open your MiFlashTool click refresh if device doesnt popup. when device is detected you can start flashing, and ur poco should be fixed from bootloop. ( also makesure you checking on left bottom corner before flashing, there is option you could choose. )
Next step just install your TWRP and disable encrption and install magisk afterward.
Iam not really good at explain thing, but i trying  thats what i do when my poco softbricked. maybe someone could correct me if iam wrong. but this is what iam doing so fat, there's no problem until now :fingers-crossed:
i solved it... it seems twrp installing somehow deleted miui system from my phone. now it's all ok.
thanks anyway.

How did you solve? By reflashing MIUI using MI flash tool? Or by installing custom rom? Were you able to reboot to twrp?
first of all, you must be fully concentrated when installing twrp, because twrp can delete your system, like in my case.
yes, i was able to reboot into twrp always. then i installed xeu rom to check if everything is ok. and it was.
Without data loss, is this method come back to normal as before for poco f1 mobile?

Poco F1 failed try to install custom rom

Hello to everyone reading this...
This was my first time doing anything with twrp and generally flashing custom roms.
So i unlocked bootloader on my Poco F1 in like no time (didnt even had to wait 3 days) and flashed via adb twrp... then i installed twrp in twrp and my os (miui) unfortunatly vanished. Now im kinda stuck here. when trying to install a OS, it says it worked but then:
- reboot into twrp
- No os installed
My Custom Rom i tried to install is the Pixel Experience Plus one and even the stock miui 12.0.3 rom recovery didnt work.
Do i need to install magisk or disable force encryption or disable dm verity?
i used the newest twrp :twrp-3.5.2_10-0-beryllium.img
Any help is appreciated!
Thank you
