I have a Note 8 (N950FXXU7DSJ1) which I purchased in Saudi Arabia.
I am now living in Philippines and having trouble installing country or region specific apps like Gcash and Angkas. Every time I have to download the apk and install it from the file browser. Whenever there is a new version I have to find the new apk and repeat the process. Its annoying and sometime buggy.
I would like to be able to install aps limited to South East Asia region and to Europe (Croatia) where I am from. What can I do to open the phone to be able to install these apps via Google Playstore?

Hello.
I want to install a new rom that it an official version for my ace.
The problem is, that there are versions that specific for a country.
My question is which version i need for my country?
I live is Israel.
Thank you very much.
Go here and select your region. Then flash with ODIN.
Yes, but there is no my country. Is there a difference between the countries?
The csc file is differente between countries, that means system language, keyboard language and some preinstalled app.
If u want official check for upgrade with kies or via OTA on setting\info\firmware upgrade\update (eventually check the wifi option)
Thank you both very much
Hi all,
As you can see here, there is unfortunately no ICS stock on sammobile.com for the french version.
However, there is one for UK version (and others). Obviously those versions have multiple languages, including mine.
So do you know why there are localized versions ? Are they mandatory ? (or could i simply take one from a neighboor country?)
Thanks all
You can surely flash UK version or Italian as well and when Installing choose Your own language.
I'm from Finland and my rom is originally Italian, no problems with language issue.

Try samsung-updates com
samsung-updates com has many Stock ROMS from various countries, which you can filter by device type. Unfortunately, I have been unable to download any from there since yesterday, as the download fails after a couple of hours.
If you can select the language you want using any country's ROM then I guess the country code just affects Samsungs OTA rollouts and which extra Apps come pre-installed and how they are configured.
Edit: I just installed the USA 4.04 Rom (XAB) on my Canadian (XAC) Tab. Since my Samsung account is registered to a Canadian Tab, Samsung Apps gives me an error if I try to sign in there, but otherwise it works. I'll put the XAC Rom on when I finally manage to download it.

Thanks for your answer !
Hello,
can anybody tell me in which customized firmware region I have the google dialer instead the sony dialer?
I am on Customized EU (actual 55.0.A.10.26 Android 9) and have the sony one.
Or do the new Android 10 update convert the dialer to the google one?
Thanks,
Horwarth
Not sure but you can download direct from Play Store once you get Android 10 update and set as default. You can't uninstall the Sony dialer which would be fine if it allowed dark theme but it doesn't.
I'm on Android 10 with customized NOBA firmware, and it still has the Sony dialer by default.
I downloaded Google Contacts from the Play Store and Google Phone from APKMirror and I use those as my default contacts/phone apps.
Ok, thanks for this information. To sideload the google phone apk is my solution nr. 2
On the Sony Talk Forum a Mod mentioned, that there is one official customized firmware version with google phone and google contacts preinstalled.
I am going to find this one
I got an answer from an Sony mod in another forum, and he told me that the google dialer is pre-installed in the vodafone customization:
1319-5068 Vodafone LC Not Net Locked
Do you guys know, if it is possible to flash this on my device?
I am from Austria, have a unlocked customized-EU firmware, so what are the disadvantages if I flash this customized vodafone firmware?
Thanks
you maybe will see some vodaphone branding with the start up, so what's the point of have Google dailer pre installed you can easy download at the store!
I switch always through some roms never had problems with flashing them ther are no disadvantages besides have some other bloatware or u have to download the internet settings which is no big deal.
Thanks, yes with Android 9 the Google phone app was not compatible.
I got OTA 10 today, now I got it from playstore, thx.
Only problem is that the missed calls icon does not go away, but this ok until fix from Google is coming
Hi all,
I have the Indian Global Version of the Realme 7 Pro and I live in Europe.
My current software version is RMX2170PU_11.A.39
I tried to get the new version RMX2170PU_11_C.20 OTA by using an Indian VPN, but no update appears.
Is it enough to have an Indian VPN, or is it a problem that I am connected in an Europe mobile network like Vodafone?
Any ideas to get the update? The best way would be a direct download, but I cannot find it.
Any ideas?
Murph
I set regio to India, the language to Hindi and used surfshark to get over VPN Mumbai into the internet. I also faked GPS to India.
But no update appears, A39 is my current version.
Has anyone more ideas to get the update for the Global Version?
I have the Australian model with AU firmware and the April patch. There's no sign of the update for me either, despite other countries receiving it. I emailed Realme in Australia to ask and they couldn't tell me anything useful.
I recently received the iii and I really enjoy it so hoping to overcome some obstacles so I can enjoy the full experience.
It was preinstalled with Hong Kong firmware, I successfully flashed it with Sea firmware but I have had no improvements. I am hoping to enable VOLTE and access all my telcos frequencies.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance
I successfully flashed my Hong Kong version phone with the US ROM, so you can try to flash it if you found a ROM for your country. Also try to install or update "carrier service" in google play.
I updated carrier services and nothing has changed. I might flash another region onto the phone as there is no Australian region available at the moment and I don't expect a version to be released.
