How to change region? - Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Questions & Answers

I bought a Galaxy Tab S6 LTE in the Emirates, the region is naturally XSQ. I want to change to SEK Ukraine. Since both regions belong to the OXM Region multi-regional firmware, I inserted the Ukrainian Vodafon SIM card and made a hard reset via the tablet menu. The region has not changed, XGS remains.
What am I doing wrong?

Firmware Differences

Hey all,
I currently own a white 16GB GT-I9300 with the stock ICS Vodafone New Zealand ROM loaded on it, the latest version available from my carrier. The phone was bought from Vodafone New Zealand itself and came with VFNZ firmware. My mother has fallen in love with the phone after trying it out once P) so I'm going to give her my marble white GT-I9300 to replace her iPhone 3GS and buy a blue GT-I9300 for myself.
The question I have is regarding the ROMs/firmware available for the new GT-I9300. The blue one I plan on purchasing is not direct from my local carrier, and it is listed as a parallel import, so I assume it'll either come pre-loaded with a ROM from a different foreign carrier, or the unbranded ROM.
I'd prefer to have the Vodafone NZ ROM on the device since it has all the carrier and access point settings, and I assume since this new blue model will also be the (international) GT-I9300 model, I am safe to flash the Vodafone NZ firmware onto it? I want definite confirmation if possible, before I go ahead and brick a new $860 phone.
I'm very new to Android (the GT-I9300is my first Android phone) and have only flashed+rooted twice, with stock firmwares using ODIN. I noticed each different carrier ROM has a differing set of numbers (PDA..? something else as well?), which I don't remember the names of. Does this have any effect on what ROMs my device is tied to using?
Thanks for any help.
PDA refers to the build version of the software/firmware
Phone refers to the baseband/modem version
CSC is the consumer software customisation and is specific to geographical region and carriers. It contains the software packages specific to that region, carrier branding and also APN settings for data connection, MMS etc for your service provider.
CSC has nothing to do with what languages the firmware supports and it will not add keyboard language support either.
.PIT refers to the partition information table you only need it if you screw up your partition table or if the firmware specifically requires it because of a change in the partition table layout. It's very likely you may never have to use this.
If the package only contains one .tar archive then it will have everything, pda+phone+csc, in the one file.
If it has multiple .tar archive then:
The .tar with modem in the name is the phone/baseband bit of the package
.tar with csc/multi-csc in the name is the csc bit of the package
.tar with code/PDA in the name is the PDA part of the firmware package
If this is the case you will need to put these .tar archives in the specific areas of Odin to flash the update. Refer to the images below.
You do not need to root or unroot the device to update the firmware.
Please ensure that KIES is closed and not running in the system tray! Kies doesn't like Odin, it's like the big brother who's always jealous that his little brother is getting to flash all the phones so he starts to flash block.
Regarding change logs. Samsung thinks firmware should be like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re gonna get and that all a big part of the surprise user experience program so they don't publish any change logs.
Get Odin v3.04 from here: Download https://androidfirmwares.net/Tools/Download/8
Just extract the Odin folder.
You will also need to install the Samsung USB drivers for the device if you haven't installed KIES. Get them from here: Download
Just install like any Windows program....

Change sales code/csc

hi. my friend bought a galaxy s3 from europe but i think what he got is carrier specific. its sales code is VOD so i think it is a Vodafone carrier specific phone. you can check the details in the image attached.
now we are planning to change the sales code (or CSC?) from VOD to XTC since we are from philippines.
we tried to flash a firmware for philippine region into his s3, we used the firmware I9300XXBLH1.
after that, upon checking CSC through *#272*imei#* we have found out that its sales code is still VOD and theres no available CSC to choose. ( we hoped the sales code would be XTC after flashing the firmware from philippines)
unfortunately, kies did not recognized his phone and the messaging service is not responding, so we flashed back again the original firmware (I9300BUBLG3).
is there still a way for it to be an XTC? we want it to be I9300XXBLH1
thanks for the help.

Any way to change CSC?

Hi all,
Tab S6 in my country is only limited to 128gb version, while I heavily rely on Lightroom mobile and sometimes need a lot of space for my raw files. This made me buy 256gb variant abroad.
My country code is XEO (Poland) and my device was bought in Germany (DBT). Is there an option to change CSC (including paid programs) to do this?
Of course I have tried Odin and XEO firmware, but it turns out that it's multi-csc and always sticks to original DBT. I have also tried *#272# code and flashing with SIM card in and out, but CSC always stays DBT.
Any of you had any luck?
Anyone out there? I am interested in this as well - I have the international version and am in the US on TMB but have a CSC indicates I am in Poland. I worry that I am not getting timely updates - I hear than TMB has updated to the Feb security patch and I'm still rocking the Dec '19 patch.
Same thing here as well. Got a T-865 XEF but I need DBT
The only effective method seems to use https://www.samkey.org/ through credits (for the TM-865 it asks for 6 credits (which for a single use it is better to buy on a site like ebay) then they send you login ( with the 6 credits) and if it allows, the change of CsC "THAT IS IN THE MULTIROM" is better before making sure with the Apk of Info SAM * INFO to see that CsC HAS the Rom installed, if the CsC of our choice is in The device, without problems, but if it is not available, it will not be possible unless before uploading the Rom + CsC to change.
After several attempts, and tutorials to change XEF / Fracia DBT / Germany, it seems the only method that works
It is necessary to respect the binary, to the case, the Hardware Asia, Europe, America, and not to put the Firmware of a container in another (it will not work) the ROMs of the Global version, EU in the EU and those of the USA in the USA and the from Asia to Asia
tool and "1 credit" even if I bought 6 as the official support page indicated to me when consulting about the SM-T865 LTE device
Original from France XEF it was impossible to change the Region Code for another of my interest DBT German because it is updated more frequently than the rest of the EU Global zone
PHE and XEF from Spain and France follow at the end of October 2020 with May patch while German DBT was updated twice in September 2020
The process turns out to be easier than usual
No need to even format the device in operation
Only with Phone * info you have to see the CSC available in the Rom available on the device and if the one of our choice DBT is already there in my case you can start
If the CSC is not present, it is when it will be necessary to Flashar before with a compatible Rom equal or higher in Binary and that contains the CSC to finally change
In Windows, which is where the SamKey software runs, you have to change the local language to US English unicode (it does not affect the local language of our pc
The code operation lasts only 4 or 5 minutes and as I say it does not erase anything from the device
Finally we have a CSC DBT / DBT / SIM1
The active CSC is the one that receives the HOTA from now on and from that moment receives update from Germany
Today it is the only reliable and efficient way

TGY and ILO regions frimware compatibility?

Basically, I've bought Galaxy Tab S7 in Israel, but when I booted it up, I've discovered that it uses TGY region firmware. I'd like to know if I'm allowed to change firmware to ILO region and will there be any consequences for doing so?
And is there any usable material to read of what firmware from what regions is compatible to firmware of other regions?
Thanks!

Question Samkey

I recently purchased a brand new Samsung a52 5g SM-A526B from a UK website , its an international unlocked model so everything works volte WiFi calling etc the only problem was the csc code was XSP which is Singapore unbranded the updates where really slow it only got the June update well every other a52 5g is on the July patch and just waiting for the August. I used samkey to change my csc I tried to change it to BTU as I live in the UK , it changed it to XXV which is Vietnam unbranded instead of BTU. I used the phone info app and it says my product code is SM-A526BZWGBTU with active csc code XXV, before I changed my csc through samkey my product code was SM-A526BZWGXSP and active csc was XSP. Does anybody know how my product code has changed but my csc code has went to XXV?
