But the camera on video mode does switch like in magic 2. I prefer the option to immediate cut from camera to camera. This version the zoom camera sometimes is not activated. I use my finger to block the zoom lens on 3x zoom it is still using the main camera

I read somewhere that if you update to the latest hicare app (version 10...) and then try to update then the latest software update should become available.
Still not working for me though. Managed to download the apk for latest hicare but no joy. I've even tried changing my region to see if it would trigger the update.

I got an update after changing HiCare app location to Malaysia.
Make sure you choose update from the main menu, not settings-update. Settings-update is for HiCare app, not EMUI.

Got an update yesterday, December 2019 patch with Magic 2.1 - so still on Pie. Nothing like getting December patch at the end of Feb. Quite a fail there, Huawei.

As usual Huawei support are clueless. First the person said the update was out with carriers . I pointed out my phone was SIM-free, and that the update wouldn't be coming from the carrier. Then the person said they didn't have any information about the update, and that it wasn't out. So, yet again, a Huawei phone with rubbish updates.
There's something wrong when Samsung is doing a way better job with updates.

I'm on AT&T in the US and just got the notification this morning for my Mate 10 Pro. Update from 8.0.0.112 to 8.0.0.119 (C567). First update since April. Has anyone installed it yet? Any issues?

This is in the ROM's forum. Sounds like the update is creating camera issues.

Yes. This update breaks night shot and lights trail mode. Also, there is no face unlock. Is there a way to rollback the firmware?
Hope Huawei will release the patch to fix this.

In the us on ATT with the same model as well but have not received the update yet. Maybe a good thing
I'm going to hold off on updating then, until more people report in on it's effects .
I got the update this morning and it broke my camera. Night mode does not work at all and the screen is unresponsive. I tried to do a reboot and still night mode didn't work.

WOW so the screen in the Camera app is unresponsive, or the screen in general? I'm glad I didn't do this update yet!
So this means that Huawei IS supporting US phone with updates! A very good sign.

It is unresponsive in night mode. Whenever I try to take a photo it will simply not take one

I am on the same model and AT&T haven't received any update yet. I think they might have stopped the updates after issues being reported.

I talked with customer care. They told me that they have pulled back the update after knowing the issues. They will be releasing another update to fix the issue in near future. Could be 1-2 weeks/months/years.

I can still see the update, but it's no longer notifying me and asking to implement it. I assume it will be replaced by the new one when they put it out.

This means Huawei either didn't pull the faulty update, or they already fixed it. Unfortunately, the update notes say nothing about this.

My device is a Huawei Mate 10 ALP-L29, currently EMUI 8.0 8.0.0.138 C636.
I received the GPU turbo update a few days ago while I'm at work so I had to cancel and delay it. However, when I went to the Updater app after two days, I couldn't find it anymore! A couple of refreshes aren't enough to bring the OTA update prompt back.
Any chance I'm doing something wrong? How do I bring back the OTA update? Right now, my phone can't seem to detect it anymore.

Hi. FF stands for app called Firmware Finder. Check play store for details.
Since the old official ota updates thread is deleted and was very useful, i thought that creating a new one is a good idea, post here whenever you receive an official OTA update.
I think the official update are finished (except for security patches)

Already did factory reset a couple of times, it's due to the update itself. It never happened on Emui 8 or any other versions. The issue happens when the phone it's locked and you want to unlock it: fingerprint won't work, even though you try it for several times, it just won't wake the phone. After a few button presses then the phone wakes up, eventually the fingerprint will work too but after the unlock the system.ui is killed and restarted. Quite frustrating. It happens randomly, could be once in a few days or multiple times a day, depends on how lucky you are. I'm not the only one having this, other people mentioned it too on other forums. Kinda sad that huawei made it this way. I guess this will be my last.
I have a different issue with EMUI 9 - battery life. I was getting 5 hours of screen on time on Oreo, I didn't go past 4 hours since the update.
Local Huawei consultant says B263 is going to be the last update for P10. I still didn't get 262...

.262 is available on firmware finder and approved for installation on VTR-L09C432.

Hi guys, I need some help with the system updates, I've bought a used P10 VTR-L09 and it's still stuck on Android 8.0.0, I am not receiving any OTA updates.

Does anybody know anything about these releases? I think the marked one should arrive for standard devices VTR-L29/L09 but there is no sign of approval in firmware finder yet. It's been a really long time since the last software update. Mine is on July 2019 patch.

I see updates on firmware finder that are aproved but never released on OTA. For example 9.1.0.270 that is supposed to bring march 2020 update.
The latest OTA i got is from july 2019 and it's very dissapointing from Huawei. P10 is still a phone capable of running even android 10. It's a shame that they don't support devices at all and really makes me switch and never come back to them or android in general because of the lack of support from manufacturers.

I'm not getting the 9.1.0.297 update with may 2021 security update for some reason. I tried to clear update apps's data as suggested by Huawei support, but it still does not come up. I wonder if some variants of P10 are excluded, or if the update will come later for certain variants, mine is the dual-sim vtr -l29.

on emui 10, glitter theme, I didn't like the new one due to color/icon choices but I turned on the dark mode setting now.
on emui 9, I used the pure google theme to make it a "dark mode"

I am from Croatia and a few days ago a guy postet he got his p20 update and i got official answer from huawei that p20/mate 10 will start recieving update in the middle of the month. For every device to get update it will take 2-3 weeks max. I hope that it helps.

BTW: the "swipe sideways to change app" gesture on the fingerprint reader is not working, anyone else has this issue?

We will get JoyUi 12.5 in december according to BS facebook page but do not expect that you will be able to root or modify this device because there is no kernel source out so modding and rooting is pretty close to impossible.

My blackshark is dead just after 2 years, first data transfers and quick charge stopped working then batery bulged up pushing display a bit out and now it is completely dead.

The chinese version already has joyui 12.5 android 11 but I haven't installed it yet, I'm hoping to install global version when available
