System IOS Animation
A Warm Thanks to this forum (He Created it)
https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/themes/ios-animation-t3617379
Supported Roms
All Roms
Example
Tested Android 7.xx
1)Resurrection remix
2)AOSP Extended
3)CrDroid
4)AOSGPX
5)AOSPX
6)Lineage OS
7)Validus OS
8)Xenon HD
Should Work on Android 5.xx based roms too
Example
1)Color OS
2)EMUI
3)Flyme OS
4)AOSP
5)MIUI
Requirements
Any Android 5.xx +device
Bootloader Unlocked+TWRP/CWM/Carliv Flashed
Personal Suggestion
It is better to set system animations to 1.x to see how it works
To Set them move to
Settings
Then Developer options (if not enabled enable it by tapping several times on build number in about phone)
See there Transaction Animation
3 options would be there in all those 3 tun animation to 1.0 and see magic
Flashing Guide
Reboot to TWRP or any recovery
Select IOS.zip and flash it
Let it do its work
Reboot
Done
How To Revert Back
Restore the backup generated by script
or wipe system partition and flash Rom Again

So if I want to switch from 8.0 LiquidRemix to a 8.1 LOS based Rom I have to choose/use which one?
This encryption thing is confusing

Flashed, all fine on my op5t and oos
So dont need to Format Data or Anything. Right ?
I am a bit confused with the 2 versions. Lets say I am running decrypted and want to switch to an encrypted 8.1 ROM. Would I: flash the 8.0 TWRP, flash OOS OB1, boot it to enable decryption, flash the 8.1 rom, then flash the 8.1 recovery?

If you're NOT encrypted then it doesn't matter what you're doing.
But when you plan to run 8.1 you should use the 8.1 recovery.

From 8.0 to 8.1? That might fail hard without formating data.
But give it a try and report back.

All this encryption stuff is over my head, so sorry if I'm not fully understanding. But to encrypt you have to flash OOS which is 8.0 right? then when you change to an 8.1 AOSP/CAF rom and keep the device encrypted you would also change recoveries?
Edit: or can you enable encryption on an 8.1 AOSP rom without flashing OOS first?

You can always enable encryption but twrp might not be able to access userdata when using the wrong twrp.
Nothing bad will happen.
If you plan to go from encrypted 8.0 to 8.1 then make sure to remove pin or password before upgrading.

I will flash The OOS Oreo but i am on Nougat
I once went back from OmniROM 8.1 to stock OOS OB1 using a nandroid backup, and since then I couldn't decrypt data in TWRP anymore, it just works if I turn off all security measures in system, which is kind of sickening after a while. The console log even tells me that I might have to format userdata, is that the only way of solving it?

Did you switch recoveries? You are switching ROMs from 8.1 to 8.0 so it would make sense to switch recoveries too.

Just tested both, doesn't seem to work, unfornately. Still tells me that I probably have to format data.
I used a pattern and PIN, none of those work. Seems like a format data is inevitable...

I've used your Treble Pie for a while and it's awesome. Gotta try this as well. Thanks a lot for all the work!
P/s: Can you make a custom overclocked kernel for your Pie ROMs? I've been using Extreme Kernels (for stock Oreo) and they are amazing. I wonder if Pie can also get a similar kernel.
Yeah bro thanks for this work..can you optimize kernel to make sodp rom usable

Hi,
Can you please help me with the download from the GSI? Where can I get the right file from?
after install, bluetooth and settings tell me that it stops all the time and sim cant be detected. Also there is some encryption so i can't access data or system anymore with twrp... even magisk can't be installed. great...
After running into a ton of errors, I think I've done something wrong. I have a few questions:
1. Where does Disable ForcedEncryption (DFE) go to in the installation process? If I flash the zip before Lineage (or not flasing at all), the phone encrypts itself right on boot. If I flash DFE zip after Lineage, the camera (and all the sensors) die permanently.
2. Regardless of the phone's encryption status, sometimes the phone just fails to recognize all the sensors (except Wifi, battery and GPS). That means no accelerometer, no screen rotation, no compass or light sensor. Rebooting fixes this on Lineage (for a while), but on RR once it occurs all sensors die permanently. Also GPS reception is terrible, as I haven't got a single fix.
Hope anyone who has been using Treble roms could give me an answer. Thanks in advance.

New version of LOS 16 + Treble
This version of LOS is outdated and does not work on latest Treble.
An updated LOS build (with Expanded volume and latest security patch) can be downloaded on this thread and installed over latest Treble.
Since this phone requires arm64 A-only GSIs to boot, the compatible version should be lineage-16.0-2019xxxx-UNOFFICIAL-treble_arm64_avN.img.xz.
Installation tutorial: Click here. Keep in mind that system.img refers to the LOS build above.

You can use Chippa_a's Unofficial LOS16 instead. That one has some heating issues and gaming performance might not be optimal (due to CPU throttling), but camera and battery life is almost identical to stock. In fact, I only use Treble LOS as daily driver because I play games on my phone quite a lot.
If you still insist on using Treble however, you can check out Google Camera ports (scroll down a little bit on Treble page). With HDR+ or Night Mode the picture quality is stellar, but taking pictures might be a bit slow. As far as I know it only runs on Treble and Omni.

Thanks Philliped346 for those links. Where is the thread about los16 on 4PDA ?*Is it in the global thread related to Redmi 3 / 3*Pro ?*Because I didn't found it. Do you know if it will be monthly updated with security patches ? I suppose there will be no ota since it's unofficial.
Currently testing it, seems to work fine, but I have a problem with usb connection with the computer. I cannot connect it, everything is grayed out (see screenshot). Same for you ?

same problem with usb on both LOS16 and RR7 i think just in redmi3pro devices (but at least you can do some developer thing to fix this temporary usb confg==>set to file transfer)
ambient display doesn't work at all
try O2 kernel ===>stuck in mi logo
so much lag in paly pubg
finger-print so slow
just a bit LOS16 better than RR7
and overall i've experience gsi so much smoother than these even for usual daily usage

I'm gonna try Superior OS, also if you have graphical glitches as I mentioned put this line on build.prop:
debug.hwui.renderer=opengl
That's going to solve that minimal issue

Hello everybody,
I just got this phone and before using it (and having some data) I wanted to try rooting and using a custom ROM..
One of the main reason I want to use a custom ROM is because of the stupid limitation of the Full Screen Gestures when using a third party launcher.
I tried many GSI ROMs and they are so slick!
I just have only two problem to solve:
Having the Always On Display working
Having all the camera modules/leness working (currently only one camera is working by default)
Those limitation seem to be on purpose (but I'm not sure)..
For the camera, I tried the MIUI Camera app port (AEONAX app) but it is not working (it is not listed for that device anyway).
So does anyone managed to have a GSI ROM (or really any slick custom ROM) with Always on Display and all the camera working?
Thank you.

Thanks...
AOSP ROMs? I thought it was the same...
I was using the ROMs from here https://github.com/phhusson/treble_...mage-(GSI)-list#maintained-older-android-gsis (link from this guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...inori-gsi-auto-installer-foco-m4-pro.4507267/ )
So it seems there is only one AOSP ROM in this list, so I'm going to try that now..
But really it's hard to believe that GSI ROMs do not have AoD while there are so many GSI ROMs (and hence so many users)... I still want to think I did something wrong.. But if really it's not gonna work for GSI ROMs, that's weird)

Well I just tried the AOSP ROM and it's exactly the same (it's also very "raw" - no onboarding, icons from 2010 XD, etc.)
The "Custom Rom's" out there performing poor.
For GSI first flash Stock MIUI A11 (like: fleur_global_images_V13.0.10.0.RKEMIXM. Depending on your Device.) Than flash GSI. Not all GSI working well.
For me working very well:
Project Elixier 3.6
Evolution X 7.6
Derpfest (latest build)
Most other have Problems with performance etc.
For get AOD u go to phh treble settings > misc features > under display section enable "force allow Always-On Display
now reboot
when aod not show go to > settings > display > lockscreen > look for something like "always show time and info"
for good working camera ports im searching to.

Derpfest (latest)
PROJECT ELIXIR 3.6 (3.5 is bootlooping)
EvolutionX 7.6
I have project elixir and it's working the best for my phone, AOD is working.
Also, probably there is no ROM that has working all three lenses, but you can flash miui camera that works almost like stock camera, eventually you can try open camera from Google play

Thanks for the suggestion!
I just started over with the mentioned stock ROM and indeed AoD worked (tried with PE, will try with LOS now).
Do you know what's the reason to start from A11?
Until now I was just using with the lates stock ROM..
