So far, there's no way to force all apps to work with extended wide view mode, which makes the dualscreen works like a bigger singular screen...
But you can make almost every PWA (progressive web apps) to work in wide view
First, open the supported website (secured https://) in chrome/whale Naver/internet Beta Samsung/kiwi browser.
'Add to homescreen'
This will turn those apps into a standalone independent app with its own proper ecosystem.
You can also force them to work in high contrast dark mode & tablet/desktop mode.

Correct, it doesn't work. It open the download path of the application only in that way or the internal memory storage as I pointed out in my thread as well.

I use this on my phone and is my preferred reader. The main window with the list of feeds...and even the feed headlines themselves fill the whole screen of the nook. But as soon as you click an article, it shrinks down to phone screen size on the very top of the nook. Is there a way to keep the articles the same full screen as the rest of the app??
unfortunately no... the dpi needed to get the market to work kills the reader. I use greader pro (there is a free version). it works quite well.

Google Reader works with a dpi of 160. Market works with a dpi of 161. CM7 defaults to 161. You can use LCDDensity to change the dpi until next reboot.
Google Reader with a dpi of 161 shrinks articles. Market with a dpi of 160 will not show you updates or let you install from the web page, only from the market app.
I chose a dpi of 160 in my build.prop and then temporarily change to 161 once in a while to do Market updates.

missing icons
I have a different problem with Google Books. I just installed it today on my NC which is rooted with Manual Nooter 4.5.6. I can download and read books without any problems. But there's no way to access the settings while I'm reading a book. There are supposed to be icons for settings and maybe other things, to allow me to click and then change the font or whatever. But those icons don't appear. I can tap the middle of the page and access the sliding bar that allows me to change my place. But I can't easily choose a chapter, change a font, or access any such setting. Anyone else notice this? Any ideas?
Silly me - I just solved my problem! I remembered that I have SoftKeys! If I run SoftKeys first, I can access the settings menu while reading! So, if anyone else has this problem, get SoftKeys!

From the Android market on the device, it will not show you your installed applications and you will not be notified of updates. From your device you can install applications.
From the Android market on your desktop, you can not initiate installs of applications.

That's...odd. But you're right, my installed application list on the market is indeed empty.
Any clue why? I can't imagine why it would be deliberately tied to DPI (I could see using it to distinguish a phone from a tablet, maybe, but this is strange!)

One more data point - I have the dpi set to 200 in build.prop. I don't have any problems with the market or with Google Reader. I'm running CM7.0.3 stable.
Is 200 what HC4 uses? Google Reader works fine with Honeycomb, however I prefer Phiremod which exhibits this problem.
Is there another difference that would cause this?

Interesting, I tried 180, and 200 and they didn't work with Google Reader. On a whim I tried 140 and both Google Reader and Market are currently working after clearing Market data. But Market stopped working after a few updates..

I still can't get articles to open full-screen with Reader and Phiremod. I would be fine with using a different RSS app, however I love that Google Reader marks your articles as unread so they don't show up when I check the website, my phone, etc. If any other RSS app has this functionality, please share the info!

Recently my rooted NT (1.4.2) does not "download (save)" files or attachments from either browser or emails anymore. With email attachments (on gmail app), there are still two options "Download" and "Preview". However, both open to a list of programs to open the file but no option to actually save the attachment. Download option used to prompt for filename to save.
Can someone please tell me how I can reactivate the "download / save" option so that it works properly?
Since the problem exists both in browser (Dolphin HD) and in email (gmail app), I think it is an issue with a general setting rather than an individual app setting.
I did install and un-install a couple of "printing" apps (Samsung MobilePrint and Cloud Print, which did not work for me) recently. Don't know if they caused the problem.

Yes - they most likely did. You have the 'smoking gun'.
Since the NT is a 'locked down' os, not meant to do things, and the 'side loaded' apps broke into that... if you wish to save/keep the os, my thoughts are you need to visit B&N and get it re-loaded. There are other options.
Recently updated to Ineffabilis Deus and have some annoying bugs with the different reddit apps I've tried. Not sure if this is an ICS problem or an Ineffabilis problem.
50% of imgur links display for a split second and then go to blank screen. If I zoom in, the picture comes back.
All youtube links open in Chrome rather than the youtube app. I tried clearing defaults for Chrome. I also tried the "App associations" menu in settings, but I don't see the youtube app as an option for anything in there. I also used to have (on Gingerbread) an option to send youtube links to xbmc, via xbmc remote app, but that's gone too.
Anyone know if this is an ICS thing or an issue with the ROM? I don't think it's a problem with the apps, since the same thing happens on both reddit apps I've tried and I don't see anyone complaining about it in the comments for those apps.
Any other redditors on ICS had problems (or solutions)?

To allow yourself to be able to select apps to launch instead of launching chrome or the default browser automatically, you must uninstall "htclinkifydispatcher" using titanium backup or something similar. This stops the phone from automatically choosing default apps and will let you choose from whatever browsers you have installed (or youtube, if you are trying to watch a video) instead. So far the only issue I've found with eliminating this app is that whenever I try to launch a link sent to me in gtalk, gtalk force closes. Otherwise I am given the freedom of choice of which app to launch when browsing reddit. If you don't care too much about a partially malfunctioning google talk, uninstall htclinkifydispatcher. Back it up first (just in case other apps start malfunctioning, for me only google talk is affected, but it may vary for others) and then uninstall. Freezing it will not work.

Issue with all direct link static images in baconreader. Animated GIFs or where it renders the website too are fine. Also only has an issue on first load, have to zoom or back out and reselect link to make image reappear. Once cached, the image renders fine on a re-read.
Yet to find any combo of Developer options, Display, or stock browser settings (assuming baconreader may render links with stock browser settings) to address that particular problem...
Edit: Recommend deselecting "Open links in app" in baconreader and in other apps if available, if that issue cannot be resolved. Feedback from other ROM users appreciated. May ask the developer about bug.
Edit 2: Stock browser settings have no influence on the issue, app renders direct link images independently.

Yeah I use google talk a lot but not nearly as often as I browse reddit. It's so frustrating trying to watch a YouTube video in chrome instead of the designated app. I think this problem (feature?) alone makes me want aosp more than anything else about sense on ics. Give me freedom to choose my apps!
I found this problem with baconreader and reddit is golden. It's annoying but but I just double tap the imgur and it shows (zooming).

I have Amlogic S812 streamer Xtreamer Wonder and it's running on 4.4.2 Android.
In the Settings menu there is no possibility (no menu at all) to add another Google account in addition to the one that was created initially. As a result all Google apps such Play Market, Gmail, Drive etc, working with one and only account without ability to switch to another one if needed. It's especially limiting with Paid apps which was bought under different accounts...
I tried to search all over the internet for the similar issue, but surprisingly did not found any ...
All the rest functionality is as usual, I also have root, thanks to the Rooting Guide by C3C076
Any help is very appreciated!

Unfortunately, this firmware disable this feature.
So, to change google account, you have to use adb tool and remove /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/settings.db file (if box is root) and add another account.
If box isn't root, you have to factory reset this box to add new account

Thanks for your answer water275, but is what you mean is just removing existing and adding a new one, but there still will be only one account ?
I tried to use few different apps which can manage existing accounts and I had there the option to remove account, but not to add. So in order to remove i think i can use this way, instead of adb. But what about to have multiple accounts? Absolutely impossible ?
What is interesting is that those account management apps allowed me to go into sync options for existing accounts. So it looks like the Xtreamer just hiding required functionality (menus) and not completely removed them. I was thinking in direction of xml files which are responsible for menu layouts, but i have not too much knowledge with them...
You can use Gmail. When you slide left panel in, there's an arrow next to your profile name. When you expand it you will see "Manage accounts" menu option.
Alternatively you can use my simple app (attached) I created for this purpose.

Sorry mate, what do you mean ? 2nd and 3rd screenshots is from your app. Where 2nd one is straight after I launch your app and 3rd one if I choose google account and then click on options on the right side.

Sorry, you are right. I got confused because of launching that app on my phone which runs lollipop. It unfortunately behaves differently on KitKat.
I'll try your app on my android stick in car, there is also 4.4.2 just to compare, but as i said earlier even that menu that your app shows is not available from the usual settings menu, so it seems like Xtreamer just hiding these menus for some reasons.

For some reason on my Android stick in the car your app can't be installed. I have Install and Cancel buttons, but Install not clickable. I'll try similar app from the store later.
Found solution !
The reason is that Xtreamer installed custom Gmail app that is not asking for update and installed as a system app (you can't uninstall it in usual way). This app have no option to add/manage account as I shown on the screenshots above.
Thanks to ROOT i was able to remove that app completely from /system/apps , and installed official Gmail app from the store. In the official app there is full managing functionality for accounts and i was able to add multiple gmails there.
I highly recommend to uninstall pre-installed Drive and Youtube apps too.
In the general settings menu of Android there is still no manage account section, but at least I can get there through Gmail now.

I'm having problem with multi touch, it's annoying when playing games.
And sometimes my phone took so long to charge. I tried using stock adapter, and ugreen with quick charge 3.0. But still doesn't make any difference. So i think it's software related issue.
Can you make a fix for these problem? Like custom kernel so it can charge faster?

I can work on with the help of similar fix used in Pixel phones. A magisk based solution but it will be fixed officially with next OTA containing June security patch so not worth the effort.
Wait for OTA it is android bug.
My phone is stuck on Zenfone Logo and I'm on 311. It's stuck there for about 3 min. and that's not normal, I think.

WebView is just an additional app for me .. I use Chrome Dev which can provide me WebView.
I use Google Inbox and user should have an ability to remove this app.
Calendar plugin is just an addon for people who do not use Google Calendar to keep track of shedules.
It's all personal opinion and most of the apps are available in PlayStore so you have the alternate to install the apps as user apps.

The wallpaper issue is due to Live Wallpaper Picker being removed from v305 in the device.

Yes, not active I suppose. Maybe something to do with permissions. Even if you delete it, the folder remains although the contents get deleted

I deleted those folders too via twrp file manager.
Also FM, talkback & google tts.
And 2 more bloatware like Ibook and someother starting with "A".
All the above from either /system/app or system/priv-app.
