Hi I just rooted my h932 and looking for the best way to flash to stable Pie roms.
The phone has been on Stock nougat since I got it (software version d) Should I flash stock Oreo and then start flashing Pie roms? Or can I flash straight to Pie? Thanks in advance

You can flash any Kenzo rom. You just have to flash Kate firmware / modem afterwards. See here for instructions: http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=2566258&p=6&#r120

If you want to flash Nougat, you have to use Android 7 firmware. Just use the one by PsyMan. It works and won't lock your bootloader.
Flash the firmware, flash the ROM you want to use, flash GApps (Arm64, Android 7.1)

Thanks a lot.
This one seems to be getting universal approval and seems fairly foolproof . Its written for LineageOS (Strix)

Hello guys,
I am currently on LOS and planning to go back to stock ROM.
LOS was flashed over the downgraded firmware necessary to unlock the bootloader.
Would it be advisable to flash the latest stock over it or should I rather go back to the downgraded ROM and upgrade it through OTAs? Are there any partitions flashed through OTA that would be otherwise missed by TWRP?
Also, can anyone recommend a debloated, optimized Android 8 ROM for this phone?
Thank you for your time!

There are TWRP flashable zips you can use.
See the H930 KDZ thread for instructions on how to flash them.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v30/development/h930-lg-v30-european-market-h930-t3779076
Be sure to use the stable TWRP linked in the WTF thread, not the new beta experimental TWRP listed elsewhere.

Quick question please, are the ROMs in your thread upgradable through ota should LG release one?
I noticed you mentioned after each build that they're not meant to be upgraded.
I may have a case of the stupids here but does it mean that once you flash one of them you're stuck on that version?
PS thanks a lot for taking the time to answer these questions. I appreciate your help a lot ^^
So as the title states, I rooted my H932 phone today and flashed Havoc. During the initial setup it asks to setup my fingerprint reader which worked correctly prior to root and it seems not to recognize my fingerprint. Clicking the button triggers the power options and all of that is working fine. Do I need to flash something else that I a missing?
Thanks

Did you ever flash latest stock firmware? Or did you root on 10D and rush to a custom ROM?
Sent from my LG-H932 using XDA Labs
Edit, you should post in Havoc for support.

I was on the latest stock firmware. I followed the instructions to downgrade to 10D and then I rooted the device. Once rooted I wiped the data folder and installed COSP which is when I noticed the fingerprint sensor not recognizing my fingerprint during setup. I switch to Havoc to see if it was the COSP rom but I got the same thing during Havoc's setup.

Yes, after being rooted in 10D, you need to flash latest stock..

Really better off asking in the custom ROM thread. I think most of us are on LG stock ROM since it's better.

OK I'll flash back to the latest stock ROM and then try another custom ROM. The whole reason I rooted was to get away from LG's rom... hate the bloat/skin.

There are many changes since 10D, that's why you need to first be on latest firmware then wipe and install a custom ROM.
Also I've seen MANY post about fingerprint sensor not working on custom ROM's. It's always due to a user being on 10D and going straight to a custom ROM.

Read the Root Sticky. Post #2 is specifically about custom ROMs.

Flashing the latest stock ROM and then AOSP based rom fixed the fingerprint issue. Thanks everyone
Hi guys,
Im new to the forum and i was wondering,
Is there a way to transform the latest updated sm-g965u pie to sm-g965u1?
If yes: 1- would i face problems or crashes?
2- can i root it or have a custom rom for it after transforming it ?
If no: is there another way to root it or have a custom rom ?
Thanks in advance
Yes, you can flash SM-G965U1 pie firmware with modified Odin
No, you can't root and there is no way to root as of yet.
