Which battery is best for this phone? I have original and its really tragic. (sry for mx english...)
Original is always the best fit, it doesn't just die that easy, I've never replaced the battery since I got the phone, maybe you have OS issues?
It has just 2-3 hours on screen
And what rom are u using?
Your battery is probably worn out .
I dont know, how to find out it?
btw. i have battery from 2016

2 - 3 hours is not so bad for SOT.
How long does it last totally?
Today I got 3 hours, 26 minutes SOT, out of 13 hours day.
I have 8% now.
Using RR Pie.
What do u think about this one?

Does anyone know of a reliable source to buy an original or equivalent quality battery?
I've had my note 3 since late 2013, replaced the original with another Samsung battery in 2016, but this 2nd one seems to be wearing out as well... Lots of use!
The problem is I can't find any reliable sources. Reviews on Amazon usually point to old batteries or ones that don't hold charge after a few months. Best Buy no longer carries them.
Any help is appreciated !

Dont be afraid of Amazon. I usually get my batteries from there and they usually last about a year or two but for 10 dollars a piece I dont mind paying that.
Anker batteries were the best and most reliable but the dont seem to be offered anymore that I can find. I had good success with PowerBear battery and Acevan Batteries.
A quick look at things seems that MaxBear makes a good and well rated battery! If you dont like it Amazon may give you a refund!

You can talk to Samsung support, I got offered an original battery for $40 NZD and had to contact Samsung service centre to get one. Finding an original battery outside of Samsung is impossible because there is so many fake batteries.

I just recieved this in the mail today and am charging them as I write this. Seemed like a fair price for what I hope are quality batteries. If they last a year I'll feel like I got my money's worth.
I'll post updates on their longevity compared to the stock battery once I go through a cycle or two.

I got this as well and it's on its way. I hope to simply rotate them well enough that I get good longevity between the three (the two from this purchase and the OEM one).
i also got them they seem to work just fine
I trust that these batteries will work just as well as the OEM one...in terms of both battery life and overall longevity. Based mostly on the fact it's a US based company.
Unlike those HK ones...that sell for cheaper...but they're lucky to even hold a normal charge for like 3 months. Basically, we get what we pay for...more often than not.
I just ordered this off of Amazon. I figured for the low price it was worth the risk.
I've had them since Note Day #1 (2/17) and they are def worth the money. I just can't say how long they hold a charge, since I haven't kept track yet. My guess is that they don't last quite as long as an oem batt. But they don't seem horrendous and 2 batts and a charger to your door for about $30 is hard to not be happy with.

I had an issue with mine today...
Left a battery on the charger overnight and got up and the light showing it was still charging the next morning....Tried another battery and over 4 hours later, the same thing happened...Put another battery in there, and within an hour (battery wasn't empty), it turned blue letting me know charge was complete (and phone showed 100%).
Got another one in there now and it's been there for about 2 hours, and the light shows it's still charging.
Is there a charger out there that has a display so you can tell what's going on??

I think the charger is the issue...not the batteries...
Take a look at this calculator:
http://www.csgnetwork.com/batterychgcalc.html
The charger this comes with outputs DC4.2V~350mA~±50mA. Using the link to the calculator above, you should expect a 2600mAh battery to fully charge with this charger in about 9 HOURS!!
I'll post updates as I find out more.

That charger charges at 550MA(MAX). That should take 5.37 hours at best. Still a far cry from the 1000mA that the stock charger uses.

consider the fact that you should not drain a bettery beyond 25% or you will shorten the life of it because the work to hard and overheat beyond that so your talking about 75% of 5.37 hours = 4.0275 hours and i dont think thats a big issue unless your battery doesnt make it 4 hours and trickle charge is better on a battery??

I was under the impression (maybe mistakenly!!) that for the first few charge cycles of a battery, you wanted to fully discharge and charge it...then after that...you can you can go back to the 75% rule.
At least that's the way it is with Lithium Poly Batteries.
Am I wrong?
Please Help
I guess this thread is dead?
It would be nice to get an update from those who bought these batteries 8, 10 or 12 months ago... to see how they held up.
I've been researching Hyperion and I've found quite mixed reviews... Several places I found photos (obviously can't be truly verified) of Hyperion batteries with the labels peeled back to reveal the metal shells which appeared to be stamped/marked (presumably by the ORIGINAL manufacturer) with different product ID codes, serial #s, as well as significantly lower mAh ratings than Hyperion's outer sticker.
I'm curious if any of those who started this thread still have their batteries... How have they held up? Are they still good?
Does anyone still have one of these batteries that they're no longer using? Would you be willing to try stripping back the label to check to see what you find under it...
I do believe that there probably are some companies that actually do make good, less expensive alternatives. But the scammers need to be exposed...
Hi
i have the 3500 mAh battery, and have some questions about it:
1. why in the capacity it shows only 1650 mAh and not 3500?
2. i feel the battery ends the same as a default 1650 mAh battery.. how possible?
3. sometimes i feel my phone is hot! i saw one time it was 42* C! is it dangerous?.. and why its getting hot?
dont know how much this application is accurate, hope yes : )
thanks!
Does your galaxy s2 also get frozen after the battery supposedly discharges? If you keep it until the OS thinks its at zero it will freeze with the screen staying on and sometimes eve nsound playing until the battery really duschrges?
Because a lot of (cheap) non-genuine batteries end up a long way under the rated capacity printed on the outside. You get what you pay for - stick with genuine batteries, you'll get what's printed on the outside.

Use an original Samsung 2000mAh battery, it actually last longer.
Those mAh said by others are fake, and those batteries could even damage your phone by being more and more big with hot and so on. Don't use them, it's just a waste of money

Ok guys, I have it now for more than 2 weeks. Up to now, I'm pretty happy. With regular usage, it can stand for full 2 days.
With intensive use, I consumed the battery within 10 hours with more than 6 hours screen time.
Today, I didn't use the phone much. I removed it from charger at 8:00 am and it's at 94% as of 17:00 pm. Of course this has to do with the rom I use as well. Thickening the phone, yes, but you can forget to constantly looking for a charger during the day.
I don't expect the same performance for more than a year maybe but I have 2 for half the price of 2000mAh original battery.

Hmmm...... I was thinking about buying one of those, what do you recommend ?
Go with the official 2000mAh with extended back cover (the only way it comes) or go for a 'branded' alternative like Anker. Steer clear of anything that 'says' it's Samsung on eBay, and avoid at all costs any replacement that is covered by a gold sticker.......

Of course it's a risk to use uncertified accessories but my phone is now 3 years old. I did not want to spend much money to it as I'll replace it in a couple of years anyway. So, I don't bother whether this battery harms my phone - which is not very likely actually.
If you think the same way, then I'd suggest it.
This one:
http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=171470554241&alt=web
I get it, it was a long shot, but for ten dollars I figured I'd try. Like I'm sure everyone would assume, this battery does not last as long as stock. I know SOT varies by user, but with the stock LG battery, I consistently got 35 minutes SOT per 10% battery used. With the new battery, it was 26 minutes SOT per 10%battery used.
I followed the instructions of fully discharging until the phone shuts off and then charge to 100% 3 times and still no change.
It's not a bad backup, but it's also not performing like an extra 1000mAh should.
Thanks for your information. I want to buy that battery because 4000mAh but now i will search another alternative for bigger mAh.
Is there any danger in using a third party battery on the phone? I just bought a 3300ma one from NewEgg (hasn't arrived yet).
I'm curious, will larger mAh adversely affect longevity of phone hardware? I mean, is there any chance it could damage phone? For example, if I get 6000mAh battery?
Zero lemon has a battery 7000 mah lasts 4 days works perfectly
I've used it for over a year and I only need to plug in every couple of days with heavy use. Makes the phone slightly bigger but only charging it every 3 or 4 days is so worth it.
I'd never go back

Short answer is yes, I would never use a third party battery unless it was by a very well known company like Zerolemon or the like. Plus if you are buying a battery from ebay, amazon or the like and it is not from a well known company the chances are all your getting is a cheap battery with a higher number on it. Bit like my neighbour that has a Porsche 911 s with a turbo badge, just because it has a turbo badge doesn't mean it is one.
I have a really nice rc car charger and when I bought some high end batteries that were 4000mah they actually took a little more than that. I wish a had a few batteries to cycle thru to see what the capacity really was.
I order this Hyperion 6000mAh Extended Battery from amazon

Latest buyer comment on that battery on Aliexpress.com:
"battery life is not that good, about the same as the original phone battery", see http://www.aliexpress.com/store/feedback-score/1489491.html
Wonder if NFC works. It is hard to believe that a same size of battery can offer double the capacity.
The battery finally arrived. First impression, it is actually slightly thinner than the original Samsung battery (about 0.10 to 0.20mm thinner). Will have to update the battery life later after I used it for a day or two.
ok men i hope its a good battery
The battery itself feel quite solid. Actually seems better build than the original Samsung battery which is also made in China. However, NFC doesn't work. I have another 3rd party 1860mah battery and NFC doesn't work on that one either. So it seems only Samsung battery comes with NFC antenna.
However, I found a solution to NFC problem. I purchased this Qi slim coil http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00QMIM6EM?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00 a while back. It contains NFC antenna on it. With it on, it provides NFC for any battery. And since this battery is slightly thinner, it makes this Qi coil fit even better than the OEM battery.
Still can't tell the battery life yet. My gut feeling is it is better than the OEM battery, not worse.
is the battery better than the original one?

What about Screen on time
I don't use screen much. It mostly sit in a spot with very weak cell signal, but ok WiFi signal, all day. I just compare to my other battery with the same usage pattern. So comparing screen on time numbers is useless, IMO. Typically, when my battery dies, SOT is never more than 30min.

Thank you for the feedback !
I will fly to China in a couple of weeks and will order a couple of these. The battery seems the only real weak point on the Alpha. I have the S6 myself and I bought an Alpha for my girlfriend. I am quite impressed with it. Even TouchWiz is feeling smooth and solid. and it just looks awesome. and feels very portable. I am really starting to love this phone especially when running because of the light weight and small form factor.
The only downside is the battery life sometimes with heavy use and I am not charmed by the extended battery by Samsung itself. Because I bought the Silver edition and I don't want a black or white cover that is thicker. So I will definitely give these babies a test drive in the next couple of weeks and post back.
Thanks for the information so far.
Hello all,
After two years my battery now cannot last for more than a few hours.
Do you guys have any shops/websites/sellers to recommend to buy a good battery for the Alpha (hopefully genuine Samsung, buying in the US)
The ones I've looked at from Amazon all look horrible with a bunch of fake 5 star reviews and the only genuine reviews being 1 star.
I'm not sure about US market but I've bought this battery 3 days ago http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mnuynow-2...635490?hash=item5b238f91e2:g:~BkAAOSw3mpXGDhv I'm after 3rd cycle discharge and charge and hold very nice. My original one couldn't reach till 4pm with full charge from 7am. And now I've reached 25h with almost 4hr SOT, 30min car Bluetooth, WiFi/3G 24H, gps/google maps 25min, youtube 20min, web browsing, few txt, ebay, 40 mins calls. I don't think it's 2500mAh as it is the same size as original one but I think it could be around real 2000mAh. I'm very happy with it
JuBaTec is a good brand. You can find it on eBay.
Also looking for an additional battery. I tried a cheap $5 battery from ebay, it had good battery life but started swelling after a few months and no NFC. Then I tried a "genuine Samsung OEM" $15 ebay battery: NFC doesn't work and it barely lasts longer than the original stock battery.
