hello to All !
just a week after ive updated to mui 11.0.5 im having this problem which im unable to fast charge and my laptop doesnt recognize poco f1 at all (wont even charge)
i am using the xiaomi charger and cable, havent used any other accessories
my phone has not suffered any serious fall or physical damage prior to this issue
what can i do to repair this?
will it help to factory reset !?
-checked with other cables, chargers, laptops, same results: no usb connectivity and no fast charge
My guess would be the USB port
But yeah you can try factory reset after backup your data first
Use different adapter

tried it, didnt work
Does it still show quick charging icon but in real it's charging slowly?
If that's the case then remove the case from the phone and keep it on the cold floor while charging and you'll see the charging speed increasing.
You should use ampere app to check the actual charging speed.

Hmmm, this is a weird one guys.
I can charge my X10 only if it is plugged in to the USB port via the computer. However, when it is plugged directly into the power socket, it does not charge. Now, I've tried two different chargers, and both work when charging another device (my iPod Touch).
I don't understand. The cord can't be broken, since it works when charging from my computer? Yet, the charger (the thing that plugs into the wall) can't be broken either, since another charger didn't work and also both have the ability to charge my iPod.
What's up? :S
Thanks in advance.
NOTE: Even when charging while off works on the computer, just not when it's plugged in (and I am not using a custom kernel either). I doubt the ROM matters (since it still has the above problem while charging when off), but even so, I'm using v061 of Wolfbreak's 6.1.3 ROM.
Bump bump, bump it up!
Do you use the original SE in-wall charger? If not, thats the problem, if yes I recomend to test with a different wall charger (eg. from another device)
May be the cable it faulty? Because the PC charging uses a less amount of Volts (to my knowledge) and the charging while connected to PC is very slow. Did you try with any other Official cable?
It could possibly be your cable as mine broke a few weeks back (Same Problem), I just replaced the cable now its fine
Guys :-/
Went out and bought a new cable, and still not charging from the power Only from the slower laptop USB port :'(
I think it may be the X10 itself..
I am still suffering from this problem And sometimes when it's connected to the PC and displays 'charging', it instead discharges

Maybe the connector in the phone is broken????
Yep your usb port is broken, mine did exactly the same thing. You will have to send it to fonebiz in rockdale, nsw. I just got my phone back, took 6 weeks to repair!

Rockdale? 6 weeks?! Not going that far. :-/ I can live with just charging from the PC at the moment.
Thanks though Sad news indeed
Is is still under warranty? It will eventually stop charging from the PC too. I was waiting for parts to arrive so maybe they have them in stock now. That was 6 weeks from melbourne and back.
Going through the same thing in the US. I was told repair would be 5-7 days, but I'm sure I'm looking longer. If it comes back within the time frame they gave me I will be pleasantly surprised. I hope you're still under warranty and do your self the favor and send it in or soon you will have a very expensive paper weight. Good Luck!
I went through the exaxt same thing. It stopped charging from the wall but could only charge from computer but eventually stopped charging altogether.
Did you try taking out the battery and plugging in with the original se microusb cabe to the wall. After 5 min. put the battery in. First time didnt work for me but then i took out the battery again and put it back in immediately and then it turned on.
try getting a usb-to-wall charger, and plugging your computer usb cable into wall.

Out of curiosity, how long before each of your X10's stopped charging altogether? :S
Because, for me, it's been longer than two months and throughout that time I've managed to keep charging it via the computer.
Thanks.

I've 3 usb-to- chargers here:
From a MP20 phone, generic charger that can't charge my phone and also can't charge most of other devices, output power and voltage are low.
From an old Ipaq(not ipad) it does charge my x10 for some reason takes longer than the original, it says on it 1000mA and 5V, I don't remember the real amp and voltage on it.
And the original one, always charge really fast(2 hours for a full 0 to 100% when the phone is ON)
Conclusion, buy and original charger if you not using one, which seems to be the case.
OR, update your baseband if possible, as battery issues are normally related to baseband are normally the cause of this errors.
To make sure you can always try to do a SEUS repair.

Sorry to say this, but your are wrong man.
My charger says 5.0V which is exact the same voltage as any USB ports(exception for some internal USB ports used commonly for bluetooth and other low consumption devices that use 3.0 to 3.3V).
The difference is mainly on the amount of power amp it can supply, the original usb cable + wall charger provides 700mA, while in the PC USB 2.0 ports provide 500mA, 1.0 USB provide 100mA and 1.1 I don't remember now, generic usb wall chargers say sometimes they provide 500mA but they mostly provide 30l0mA and sometimes they do not provide on 5.0V they oscillate between 4.6 to 5.2V a good usb port have to provide 4.95V to 5.1V any difference from this may even burn a phone if higher and not charge or reduce a battery life if too lower.
Everytime a battery is not charged up the end of 100% they battery life gets a bit reduce as next time even if you leave it to charge up to 100% it won't really be at 100%, this can only be seen by measuring the battery voltage after the charge, fully charge it must reach up to 4.7V
on the battery or something like this.

If the cable is too thin(like 1.0 usb cables they can't handle 500mA if connected to an already extended usb port it may not get recognized and also not even charge.
Laptops usb ports may not allow 500mA it different for every laptop, some work, some doesn't and others your have to set that on bios.

Always when connected to the PC it should say charging, if it did say discharging at some point then there was something wrong.
But charging on the pc is very slow and not good.

Is there any other model of charger than a usb-to-wall? Sorry my lack of knowledge on this, but i never saw a wall direct charger for x10.
Thanks button is appreciated, rsrsrs
Hello,
I'm running Temasek's unofficial CM13 (Darkened_Sky) ROM on my SIII. I thought my battery was dying somehow, so I bought a new battery, but still it's taking ages to charge, and does not seem to keep the charge better.
What could be the issue? Should I just forget the phone and get a new one?
Thanks,
Vince
any suggestion?
so it seems a charging equipment issue or phone's charging port malfunction. try different chargers 1st.
well, I'm using the samsung charger or charging with the USB cable connected to PC, I don't seem to see any difference...
ok, the charge seems to hold better, but the charging time is still very long (I think), any suggestion?
Since last days, my POCO F1 don't start charging sometimes I connect the cable. Cases when it start charging or don't charge are randomly. I bought the phone in November 2018 and since now it was charged with the original charger and cable. I also tried to charge it with another original Xiaomi charger and cable from another Poco F1. The behaviour is the same. I don't use to let the phone charging overnight.I have performed a factory reset on the phone, I even installed the last Beta ROM, but the problem is still there.
The interesting part is when the phone is turned off and I connect the cable, it start charging every time. For example, if I connect the cable when the phone is ON and it happen to be the case to not start charging, if I turn the phone OFF, it start charging.
I also tried to gently clean the usb-c socket from dust, but the behaviour is the same.
I attach a descriptive youtube link: youtube.com/watch?v=7TvLsx5KIw0
Does anybody have an idea about what to do? Thank you very much.

The fact that when you turn the fone off it's starts charging leads her to believe that the ambient temperature where you are is quite high, 35°+. If this assumption is correct then you'll need to let things cool down before charging the fone.
same issue
i have same issue do you found any solution ?
Anybody found the solution? My phone charges at very slow rate (1%-2% per hour).
Had the same issue, just do a complete fastboot flash,it will get fixed...???
HELP!!
I am facing the exact problem you faced. If you found a solution or anyone finds one please tell me. I'm facing this problem for the past 5 days.
A few days ago, i noticed my battery charging speed going significantly down. This applies to fast-charge as well as normal charge.
With the app "Ampere" i measured the respective ampere input currency:
~ 400mA on fast-charge
~ 250mA on normal charge
I use the original charging equipment that came with the phone.
Problem solving measures already tried to solve the problem:
- Using a different USB-C cable for charging
- Using a different charger for charging
- Charging the phone while it is turned off
- Cleaning all the charging ports of the cable and the phone with compressed air
So far none of the mentioned measures had any postive effect on my problem. Battery life when using the phone is still as normal as before the charging issue appeared tho.
If you have any helpful tips on what the problem might be and how to solve it, i would be very happy!
Same issue with mine too... Found no solution till date.. even service center returned my handset saying they can't repair it. Felt so bad .. ?
For charging now m using OnePlus dash charger... Despite of not working fast charge, it charges my poco f1 faster than stock charger from poco f1..
Try it

Is your battery life too unaffected?
A friend of mine suggested maybe changing the USB-C circuit board might help, as to maybe the USB Port is damaged.

Nothing worked.
For now.. I am using 18 watt pd charger with USB c to USB c cable.
It is now showing turbo charging and it's charging fast.
Hope it's solution for me now..
Its malfunction of temperature sensor. While mobile above 30° c its automatically slow down charging speed to lower the temperature and prevent device from damage. Somehow take down temperature below 25°c you can fast charge your device again. But you have to keep it in that state.
Same issue on poco f1 ...suddenly charging very slowly............1> checked charger 2>update latest miui...problem persist...loosses total faith on brand
I have the same issue, does enyone know the solution?

Even I had the same issue. Changing the USB cable worked for me. I used the secondary cable(smaller one) which came with the box.
Hi All,
Kindly help. Yesterday i was faced a strange issue. While my phone is showing fast charging but battery percentage is draining. It seems showing as charging but actually it is not. But when i switch off the phone and it is charging normally... Any idea on this.
I have tested the same cable in pc it is charging slowly but this time it is not draining...am not sure how to conclude the issue reason...i dont have spare charger so yet to check with other charger....any idea or tips it would be helpful.
Currently am in miui 10 stock rom with NKG KERNEL
Problem is with your cable or charging brick. But the likely culprit us the cable as that's what usually dies out first.
Suggest using a different USB C cAble either borrow from a friend or whatnot. If you are able to charge normally using both the charging brick and via PC using the borrowed cable then your issue is with the cable
