Hello, I own a Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro, but I think that my problem isn't related to the brand of my phone, rather than the software.
My Gboard make a strange sound. This changed when I updated from Miui 10 (Android 9) to Miui 11 (Android 10). I made a full wipe.
You can listen to the sound of my keyboard by this video.
I checked also system/media/audio/UI and all the KeypressSound.ogg are the original ones (not with this strange sound)!
My sister with a Mi 9 Lite, having Miui 11 (Android 9) has the Gboard with the normal sound.
I tried also to reset the application, uninstalling and reinstalling it and installing a backup of the keyboard (made with Titanium Backup) made before the update, but with no success.
What I should do? I do not found anyone with this problem on Google.
on newly bought android 8.1 device you can disable Gboard sound by going "Setting/ Sound and Vibrations/ Other sounds"
and on there just disable "Touch sounds"
also why dafuq your Gboard sound like bird chirping
I'd like to know it...
Anyway, I don't want to disable the sounds, I want to restore the original sound.
Bro i am facing the same problem...i have k20 pro with Android 10
Any progress on this topic ?
How to change press sound ?
This problem is only on K20 pro with China ROM.
My brother have Mi9T pro with Global EEA ROM and doesn't have this issue, they have Gboard with normal press sound.
Same problem with Poco x3 gt and Xiaomi pad 5 after updated android 12 MIUI 13

Hello all, I've been trying for the longest time to install Google Now launcher on the Redmi Note 4 with MIUI8, but Ican't get it to work. All my previous Xiaomi devices have been able to use Google Now Launcher as the default launcher following this guide.
www.androidheadlines.com/2015/02/android-install-google-now-launcher-xiaomi-miui-6.html
However, when I follow the guide above, Google now launcher will be the default at first boot, but when I hit home, it always goes back into the system launcher.
Anyone else experience this?
Had the same problem with MIUI 8.0.5.0 Chinese stable ROM.
After I installed the xiaomi.eu ROM version which is based on the Chinese developer ROM I could use Google Now launcher without any problems. Even Now on Tap works like desired.
Hi,
My friend has two Mi phonesRedmi Note4 and Mi Max2.
And recently I updated both; RedmiNote 4 to MIUI 9 and Mi Max2 to MIUI 9.5.
To disable Google Apps like Chrome,Play Music, Play Movies & TV, etc in both I gone through the link.
The steps explained the link is for MIUI 8.0. That's why Google Apps couldn't be disabled.
Please let me know how todisable Google Apps in MIUI 9 and MIUI 9.5?
With Regards
Mohit
I just received my MI 8 Lite today and it came with MIUI 9.6.3.0 Global Stable ROM.
Previously I owned Redmi 5 Plus, and when I updated it from MIUI 9 to MIUI 10 I started having notification problems (some apps don't show notifications, no matter what I do - I tried everything possible that I found in forums, but nothing helped).
From what I saw online, the phone is not the problem, it's the MIUI 10 that is causing the issue. And I've heard that this won't be fixed until the PIE update comes (which will be in Q1 2019 for MI 8 Lite).
Would like to ask - if I update my new MI 8 Lite to the newest MIUI 10 and face the same notification issues, will it be possible to downgrade to MIUI 9 without having to root the phone (just download MIUI 9 zip file, put it on phone memory and update via System update menu)? Want to make sure it's possible before doing anything. Eventually I'll be downloading the MIUI 9 ROM from here (https://www.xda-developers.com/download-miui-9-global-stable-xiaomi-mi-8-lite-mi-8-pro/).
Thanks in advance for your help!
Hy can anyone tell me how can i get stereo speakers on my redmi 5? I am currently running Android nougat (stock ROM MIUI 9.6.3., global based on android 7.1.2.) i have unlocked bootloader, TWRP custom recovery installed and Magisk 20.3 installed. I would like to get stereo speakers on my phone because my last phone (Sony Xperia Z5) had them and they sound great so i would like to get them on my Redmi 5.
Edit: thank you everyone for all your help by that I mean thanks nobody for nothing, i found solution for my problem... I BOUGHT PHONE WITH STEREO SPEAKERS, what a easy solution, why i didn't think of this before. And now i have 2 phones without any support from XDA, that being Huawei P40 Lite/Nova 7i/Nova 6SE and Lenovo S5 Pro GT. Isn't it great, yes it is, yes it is.

MIUI 12 is not all it's cracked up to be. The animations are too much and many minor bugs like horrible ram management and it's slower than miui 11. There are also several bugs like phone failing to respond to touches, night mode glitches, and now you mentioned non-working camera. I'm on miui eu 12 but I must go back to v 11. If you can please save yourself some trouble and go back to 11.
