Hello !
I have a french stock Tablet Z2 32 Gb. I checked within Xperifirm and everyone got the Lollipop update except the region including France, Germany etc...
Did I miss a note saying that we won't get the update ? Lollipop is rolling out for others regions since days or weeks. I find it odd that we don't have it yet ?
Thanks
Same for me.
Wait, it come.
Sent from my SGP512
Thanks for the reply. That's still very annoying to be last at the party :/
Unless you have been waiting with baited breath to set up multiple users, or are annoyed to death with the sd card silliness,
There is really nothing to be gained from lollipop.
Yes i'm also in the same boat. All regions got Lollipop but not ours. (SGP511) (1281-8033)
I wrote to Sony about this but they won't give me any information.
This is very frustrating. I love my Lollipop on the Z3 Compact. It works great and looks so nice.
Has anyone flashed a FTF from a different region on there device? Are any issues to be expected?
Regards,
boni
The Taiwanese prerooted .726 firmware which has a thread in this forum should -according to xda members - also work on a SGP512.
Region is really irrelevant - as soon as you set the language on the welcome screen, they're really all just the same.

In that case, could somebody give a hint which region to choose, that is for me, which region/customisation is the less bloated one?
Also irrelevant, because if you're rooted, you anyway can uninstall or deactivate the bloat apps.
Ok i just flashed 23.1.A.0.726 VMo UK-IE using this guide.
h**p://***.xperiablog.net/2015/03/17/guide-to-installing-xperia-lollipop-using-xperifirm-and-flashtool/
It's running great. I should have done this sooner. But who knew that after over a Month release of Lollipop the German devices would still not have it via OTA.
Does any body know what will happen once 5.1 is released for xperia devices? Will i get it OTA via my original region or via the region i just flashed manually? Or do i always need to flash manually from now on?
Anybody actually got this Honor 5x KIW-L22 Malaysia marshmallow update.app? Please share!! Even if its beta version i'm willing to try! PLEASE HELP! :crying::crying:

So you know, the lollipop versions of the 5x were B1xx and the MM versions are B3xx
So b301 - b310 - b320 - b340 - b350 all = MM
Oh.. Thanks for the Info @clsA
You can update through HiCare app or by manual update.
Update via HiCare app:
1. Install the latest version of HiCare application from Google Play from the following link - http://bit.ly/1sEiY1V
2. Open HiCare application -> select region as Asia Pacific and location as Malaysia -> Click on OS upgrade option.
3. Go through the Version Update details and agree to the terms and conditions -> click on Apply.
4. Click on system update in the Pop-up appeared and then click on check for updates.
5. You will find the New version update (If it is available) -> click on it and update to the latest version.
Manual update via OTA file:
1. First, download Android 6.0 OTA file for Honor 5X from http://download-c.huawei.com/download/downloadCenter?downloadId=83346&version=327474&siteCode=in
2. Now create a folder dload in the root of your internal storage or SD card and place the update.app file in that folder.
3. Now go to the phone settings–>update and press the menu button.
4. Now select choose Local update.
5. It will detect the update.app and installation process will start.
6. Wait until the installation process is complete and then reboot your device.
The manual update file belongs to indian version (KIW-L22). Since you said the same version, hoping so there wont be any difference.
Try manual ota update, far better than hicare
hicare app may do the job, just update to latest hicare app version from the play store, open it and select ur region and click on 'OS UPDATE EARLY ADOPTERS'

Why should they use their resources on the region which doesn't asks update? That's the reason. May be.
As of my knowledge from the forums, people using India, UK and US variant are only asking for update. So they provide only for them.
Providing update for the need of only 10 persons will be cost inefficient for the region that doesn't requires update.
Malaysian users do want the latest update, malaysia is the biggest consumer of smartphone.
maybe because of some weird reasons, they are just being avoided.
I think their main focus is on US, EU and India
Hello to everyone;
I have just a question: is it possible to have the stock chinese version of firmware and simply apply the english language?
I mean, we'll have always the latest release in real time (OTA) and meanwhile got the watch in english!
What do you think? it's possible to do?
thanks to all!

All reports so far have said it causes crashes, so no. When the international release of the watch ships, there'll be a firmware that can be applied that will make it English, like with the 1st gen
Seems legit
How many times usually pass to have the international firmware?

Until someone gets the international model and dumps the firmware, at which point either a ROM will be made or if they dumped the firmware as images, it can be flashed directly
Hey everyone. I'm a proud new owner of a Realme 6. I bought it as being a global version (model RMX2001) 4/128GB.
I updated but found out that the firmware version was RMX2001_11.B.33. I think it must be a Russian Version even though I bought it through a spanish online retailer, since the box comes in russian.
I checked and there was a version for the Indian Region (RMX2001_11.B.37)with the same changelog as the one for the European Region (RMX2001_11.B.34). I downloaded the firmware for the European Region (RMX2001_11.B.34) and updated through the recovery mode.
Can someone explain to me what are the consequences of doing such a thing since I updated a RMX2001 model with a RMX2001EU model? Also, does this mean that from now on I'll get the OTA updates for the RMX2001EU model, European Region or only the ones for the RMX2001 model, whatever region I got?
Any other input regarding this subject is deeply appreciated. I'm curious more than anything. Thanks!
my phone is also a eu model, and didnt get the latest update to.
what i did is realme.com india region/market and find the o.zip RMX2001_11.B.37 and installed
everything working just fine for me. so i think all those phones are just the same..

I got my phone from amazon spain. I live in switzerland.
The latest OTA was B.30 for me. I downloaded B.37 from Realme Site and also updated via recovery.
Everything works however.
The hardware is definitely the same in all phones. But somethings still different. Some phones are able to unlock bootloader (india models I think) while EU models cant.

I definitely updated my Global Version with the EU Firmware. And in the settings I have the RMX2001_11.B.34 Version (which is actually the same as the RMX2001_11.B.37 according to the changelog, but not the size). I prefer the EU version since it may have less bloatware and ads due to the European restrictions. Also, I live in Portugal so I think it's better to use the EU version, unless a more recent version is available.

That's the strange part. It seems all roms are interchangeable, but then, what are the differences? Actually, how can one know what is their region? I say mine must be from Russia due to the text in the box and it also had a russian app installed. I updated with the EU rom and the model still is RMX2001 (not RMX2001EU), but the version is RMX2001_11.B.34. So I used a RMX2001EU_11.B.34 rom and it updated to the RMX2001_11.B.34 (missing the EU part). Furthermore, all package names and MD5 checksum are the same, when compared. Therefore, I actually think it is all the same and one can use any rom to update.

I didnt even realize that I downloaded the "non EU" rom from the india site. I honestly dont know if I had an EU rom when I first booted up my phone. I dont remember seeing EU in the OTA settings. However the latest OTA for me was the b.30, which is why I updated to b.37 manually because i thought higher number = latest update
Yeah its very weird. I only know that there is a global and an india version of the phone. We definitely have the global one or else we would have trouble with the 4g signal (or at least me here in switzerland)
EDIT: I think im a little confused now. I think you mean you had the RMX2001EU_11.A.34 (with the A)
There is A and B. Probably A for global and B for india
on 4pda forum some members mention that RU firmware supports "call recording", in all other roms(incl. EU) thats restricted due legal laws

You're right. I updated with the RMX2001EU_11.A.34 firmware version. Actually, I must have updated to the RMX2001_11.B.33 via OTA and then by updating with the RMX2001EU_11.B.34, I ended up with the build number RMX2001_11.A.34. At least that's what shows up.
I honestly think we can use whichever we want that any will work. I'll stick to the EU versions.

Well, both versions are supposed to bring the very same updates. I'd rather wanted to be on EU version too, even if its just for the file name and nothing else lol. My phone probably shipped with the A version and I mistakenly updated it to B

Hi. I want to buy a realme 6 in Spain but I need to record calls. The EU version does not allow to record calls, but the Indian Rom does include call recording. I have read that you installed the Indian version, can you see if you have the option to record calls?
To change rom is just install? There is no need to open bootloader, right? Can the Indian Rom be used in any country? I want to use in Spain
Thank you very much.

Could you answer me if this version with Russian box has the Brazilian Portuguese language?
How can I change the ROM?
I have a Galaxy s21 olympic edition with number SM-G991Q and i am not receiving montly updates. The last update was the August 2021 patch and was installed on August 30th.
Also smart switch on Windows is not detecting Any new updates.
I tried to reset the device without luck getting new updates.
Does anybody has the same problems with the Galaxy s21 SM-G991Q not receiving updates?
I have this phone too, I also only got the August security update.
Don't worry, they probably lost their update schedule before switching to Android 12. I got updates yesterday for SM-G9910.
I have the same phone and find it odd that it doesn't show up on sammobile or anywhere else.
Does anyone know where to find original firmwares for it?

Well on november 8th i finally got the october 2021 update. Hopefully the android 12 update will follow zoon
I have a question about the G991Q, did any of you get the ESIM to work yet? It is currently software locked - in theory it should have it because it is a Snapdragon chip
Do you have Android 12 on G991Q already? Im checking every day but still no luck Should I install non olympic rom? Will that work? Thanks
@Corbik
This particular variant has yet to receive the stable One UI 4/Android 12 update.
@jussy
See here; the model number of this variant is SM-G991Q and the CSC is SJP. At the time of posting this, the latest available firmware version is G991QOPU1AUJ2.
my version is g9910 and still no update to android 12.
last version a11 octuber security update....
whats happend....
What standard version would be closest to G991Q? I tried to flash U1 ROM but no luck
Friends i'm also with the SM-G991Q olympic version.. I really need to switch to CSC from ZTO, to try to use VOLTE and WIFI CALLING from my operator in my country, Brazil!
Can someone please help me change CSC to ZTO ? I tried the tutorial above, but it doesn't open anything when typing the codes, were you able to change? I saw that it only works on android 10. but we are on android 11.
I saw that you have the option to change CSC ANDROID 11 via Samkey, but I believe it still doesn't have support for our SM-G991Q device.

Yes I tried the U1 version since it should be US version with Snapdragon888.
That ROM you found, based on the numbers is exactly what is in my phone now.
I think I will just wait some more time to get official Android 12 update, hopefully our special version wont be forgotten
But If somebody know which ROM would also work for SM-G991Q and ideally would also support all languages and features (esim for example) please share
