No, not at all. S9+ does not support 5G
Are you probably using AT&T? If that's the case it was using a fake 5G logo

i wish people would protest the idiotic 5Ge moniker by not using it. Its an absolute lie being told by at&t and they should be ashamed of it. Preying on unknowing people who see "5Ge" (completely ignoring the e) and lead them to believe that they have 5G.
Just to be perfectly clear, if you didnt pay over a thousand to twelve hundred dollars for a phone that specifically states that it is 5G capable, then you arent getting 5G. The S105G is 5G capable, but the S10 is not.
Here is a list of 5G phones, if you dont have one of these (or perhaps a few newer ones that have since been released after the creation of this list) you dont get 5G

Thanks FF, useful tip, it was actually showing TMobile Orange in the network when you pull down the notification bar. I changed that to just TMobile via a network search, ran another test and got 3835kbps, which is more like I'd expect.
Cheers again for the tip.

Yup sorted it on mine - I had to upload (and also deleted the account out of sync and logged back in) but you have to do 6 things - sync with PC, friend sync, etc etc before you get you extra 48gb

Wherever you have 3g service you will have 4glte it may take a while for sprint to get to your area depending on where you are located
So i'm not sure if im actually getting 4g LTE because it was just implemented in our city. This may be a stupid question but i want to make sure im getting the most out of my phone.
Im currently running Tasks's AOKP jellybean rom with the latest build 12/2, and i love it. I just did a clean wipe/install and setup how i like, and changed the apn settings accordingly to task's FAQ thread to the most ideal settings according to the Pros. I am receiving mobile data, and everything should be ship shape.
However, i ran this rom once before, and when I went out and about, the best coverage i've gotten has been HSPA+, which im pretty sure is just normal 4G. But, I want to enable 4g LTE somehow.. I talked to the guys at AT&T once and they said HSPA+ is 4g lte, it just wont change the icon. How can i be sure 4g LTE is running, and if its possible can you switch the stupid hspa+ icon to 4g. How can all this be done?
Thank you.
Our phones don't support 4G or 4G LTE technology
SMH
The person you talked to at your AT&T store doesn't know what he is talking about. HSPA+ is not LTE. Technically it's not even 4g, it's 3.5g.
!!!

First off, I'm in the USA, but interested in the international version of the Mega 6.3 (mainly due to no locked bootloader and generally faster updates than carrier models in the US). I'm currently using T-mobile prepaid so I know both versions won't get me hspa (unless I'm in a refarmed area, which I am) or LTE.
I noticed a couple of threads that talk about signal problems on cell connectivity for the Galaxy Mega 6.3 international version. I can get a good price (not sure if its the gt-i9200 or gt-i9205 version) on the Mega 6.3 from a local store, but does the latest firmware (or one of the newer firmwares at least) fix any signal issues? Or is it just random with some people getting bad phones that still have signal problems even after loading newer firmware. I'll most likely ask for the gt-i9200 since the lte bands on the 9205 are worthless for me.
I could always ask the store how much they get the MetroPCS version for since that'll work out of the box with T-mobile service.
T-Mobile just sucks ...I have a i9205 here in north Carolina and have no problems what so ever running straight talk .. I pull way better service with them then when I ran tmo... I'm done with T-Mobile... No signal issues at all

Well good to know on your i9205 using Straight Talk on AT&T towers you have no problems. Judging from your harsh words, did you previously use T-mobile on your Galaxy Mega 6.3 and ran into signal issues? Do you live in one of their refarmed areas?
Which firmware revision are you running? Thanks! =)
Yeah T-Mobile sucks in my region.

A local shop near my home can't get any i9200, but can get the i9205. So, I requested that even though the LTE bands are useless here in the US (I'll just disable the LTE portion of the radio anyways). It should be fun to use the phone once I get it.
I am not getting the same internet speed as I was getting on my op7t pro while on mobile data. Did any one face the same issue? I also noticed that internet is not working while on call.
Yes, my pixel 6 had struggled with speed/service compared to any other phone I own.
Hope this can be improved by futuer updates

Same here
Reviews have commented on this. The P6 has a Samsung modem while virtually every other phone in America has a Qualcomm one.
I too am hoping Google can pull some firmware magic for it.

Yeah, I dont know. Google is a ****. Unsupported countries cant have 5g, volte, vowifi and looks like also 4g+. Also the modem is a couple years old and gets way worse signal strength then other devices. Where my pixel 2xl gets -75 dcb, the 6 gets -95. Same sim card.

I'm getting very good speed on my pixel 6
Just pathetic. Luckily T-Mobile letting me return it.
I think many operators use different vendors' kit in their Radio Access Network, different firmware in that, and different configuration/settings for it. Of course they're all supposed to comply with standards but this would explain on our P6's so far unoptimized firmware:
The variability over standby battery consumption due to network standby (much worse for some)
The variability over max 5G data rates (much worse for some)
Why Google were under pressure for a quick fix for some operators in the US (the Nov update only folk in the US got). Maybe those operator's customers were severely affected.
Hopefully successive optimizations are possible that will fix these issues for most. Crossing fingers that's the case and doesn't take too long. Next drop should be next week based on the recent cadence...
