Mi A3 Bricked - Xiaomi Mi A3 Questions & Answers

Good night, I have been bricked my device for over 5 days, I was trying to install the Custom ROM pixel experience, but when I installed the TWRP the wifi would stop working and I had the brilliant idea of installing another recovery inside. from TWRP itself and to go further wrong I still unintentionally blocked the bootloader, now I've tried to flash several MiFlash and none successfully, I took it to a technician and he tried a test point and also couldn't make it work, can anyone give a light that I'm already desperate without knowing what else to do

Bro, You can unbrick your device by flashing. First you need to remove back shell of your device then you need to flash your device in EDL MODE (EDL = Emergency Download ) . If you want help you can meassage me . i will provice you with Flash file & Instructions

I also brick my phone, what i did was unlock the bootloader again, connect to miflash, flash the stock rom, wait like 10 minutes, and force the reboot on reboot went again to fastboot, on the folder plataform tools of adb, go to cmd, and write "fastboot set_active a" , force the reboot again (pushing the power on/off button like 20 secs) and it boot

Bro. you can unbrick your device by using EDL method. you can search it on google

I have bricked my phone 2 months ago, and even xiaomi repair center said there's nothing they can do. I have the same situation with OP, it keeps rebooting to fastboot mode, and EDL flashing does NOT work for me. The repair center said that the only hope of the phone is getting the full motherboard assembly replaced.

Did you try erase and flash via qfil + edl. The IMEI/Mac addresses and efs data needs to be re written but I think it will fix ur brick atleast. From wat I understood u have locked the bootloader back after flashing a custom rom. Secure boot will not allow the custom rom's to boot with bootloader locked coz the signatures do not match the phone's factory signature burned into the phone's bootloader.
This could help u understand:
https://source.android.com/security/verifiedboot/boot-flow
Note: each time u flash the phone via qfil or edl in general restart the phone in edl mode, qcom phones are allowed to be flashed via edl mode only for the first try after putting the phone in edl mode, the second and the following times u try u will get a Sahara fail error.

It is highly recommended to lock the bootloader by flashing fastboot rom via MiFlash, as it has basically no chance of getting bootloop caused by any unauthorized modifications, just remember to set active slot to a before flashing to prevent any problems.

REDMI NOTE 3 Complete Dead!!! Only Red Light Blinking

Hii Friends,
I am new to xda as i got an problem with my Redmi Note 3.
Specs Before Dead:
Miui 8.2.4
Android 6.0
32 Gb Rom,3 Gb Ram
I was trying to flash Android 8.0 Rom via Twrp {Flashed Through Mi Flash Tool}. Twrp Flashed Successfully and Then I started with flashing with Oreo Rom.It also got flashed successfully but the problem I think is I forgot to flash Lazy Flasher due to which the phone booted but was lock even though i entered the right password It started to reset the phone. Then the phone turned off never revived from there.
As I tried to power up many times and tried almost all the combination Keys like Power+Vol up,Power+Vol down,Power+Vol up+Vol Down, etc.Only Red Light is blinking while connected to charging or PC. In PC the Port shows Qualcomm 900E and cannot be recognized in Mi Flash Tool. As Mi flash tool detects Qualcomm 9008.Even I manually Tried to change the driver to 9008 but didn't help me to flash the ROM.Shown an error: Device attached is not working; in Mi Flash Tool
Even I showed in a repair center near me but he ended up with no solution even. I have been trying to get it in Edl mode so that i can flash Fast boot Rom but no clue for that.
If any clue for this would be really appreciated!!!

Thanks but no thanks
More info required: Official unlock or Unofficial unlock?
After flashing oreo ROM lazy flasher is not required you need to format data ( apart from wiping data ) to boot the device.
when connected to PC when the red light is blinking that means you're in EDL mode, now try holding power + vol down button, keep holding until you get a vibration & get into fastboot mode.
Then you can use fastboot commands to check if the bootloader is still unlocked & can flash TWRP again if erased.
But, if device is unable to enter fastboot mode then you must flash MIUI fastboot ROM through EDL.
The procedure is the same for flashing but you need appropriate drivers en.miui.com/forum.php?mod=attachment&aid=NzU4MzF8ZWU0ZWM1OTR8MTM5ODc1NDUzM3w2NDg1MDkzM3wxOTY5Nw%3D%3D

I have tried holding all the combination keys as mentioned earlier but no results. So without getting in Fastboot mode i cannot flash the rom and I don't think so that my device is in EDL mode because PC device manager shows Qualcomm 900E instead of 9008.

This happens to me once...but i got it solved. This is really an edl mode of the phone. Keep trying connecting it to pc and try pressing those volume and power buttons if there is any voice connecting to pc means your phone is not dead. So, keep trying.

Here, this helped me. If you follow the instructions correctly, you will be able to unlock bootloader, boot into twrp and then flash your custom rom. Skip to the part when you will have the red led blinking.
Hope it helps.

Strangely hardbricked

Hello guys!
i was reading the only thread i found on a brick situation with a redmi 5 plus but i couldn't find a propper answer to my problem, here's why:
Found a realtively cheap RM5+ on internet got my hands on that phone but it won't boot tried to get back to seller but he dissapeared (eventho i have the address but it's quite far) and now i'm stuck with a phone that won't boot in anyway, here
TL;DR: bought a RM5+ online/i was scammed
This is what it does:
Boots and doesn't do anything at all, just the MI logo.
if PWR and Vol Down goes to fastboot
if PWR and VOL + says "The system has been destroyed"
if testpoint and flash it says "ACK count don't match"
i don't know if it's something with the roms i've tried but it would be great if you could point me in the right direction.
I've tested quite a lot of roms but i'm willing to download whatever you throw @ me, i'm kinda desperate.
Thanks!
maybe this helps http://en.miui.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=293457&highlight=unbrick+guide

And when it´s in mi logo it says "locked" or "unlocked"? maybe strange question but my device came unlocked out of the box and doesn´t want to boot but I can flash system and boot via fastboot mode. Some sellers try to unlock bootloader and change the firmware so not all of them got it succesfully and this unfortunately softbricks device.
Also you can try installing this tool https://androidmtk.com/download-15-seconds-adb-installer open a cmd with admin rights and type fastboot devices to check first if pc is recognicing, then you can attempt to flash most of partitions through fastboot if your device is unlocked.
If this don´t solve then you have to go for edl/download mode but try first this and report

Lenovo z5 stuck in fastboot mode

Hi everyone,
first of all, I guess there should be a section dedicated to the Z5 to keep the forum clean!
Other than that, I'm really having trouble with my Z5. I can't find a way to move on from fastboot mode! Can't boot to edl, tried to flash recovery but they won't boot and so on...
Do someone has some idea? I can provide every information you need to troubleshoot that!
Thank you in advance,
Lorenzo Benevento.
Hi , inside stock firmware which .img files you have ?
Hello guys,
Could any of you create a brick troubleshooting thread in this model?
I need help with unbricking my Z5. I think I messed up with the recovery partition.
I can't turn it on at all after I press all the button combinations.
I tried the suggestions on the Sahara error that they did on the Lenovo Zuk Z2 with no success.
Does anyone have a workaround for this kind of thing?

Don't worry i've already solved with some CHINESE PIROMANCY!!!!!!! Even with effective IMEI restoration (I couldn't restore the 2nd IMEI because I didn't know how to set up this one manually with the method I've used with my lenovo)
Hello,
I have a Lenovo Z5s. I wanted to install new android rom like Pixel Experience
I managed to unlock the bootloader with adb fastboot.
I succeeded in flashing TWRP recovery 3.3.1-0529 for my device.
I've downloaded Pixe Experience GSI rom available here https://forum.xda-developers.com/z5...evelopment/lenovo-z5s-pro-twrp-3-3-1-t3953346
I have copied and pasted the Pixel Experience rom (.img file) on my SD Card.
With TWRP, I have wiped necessary files for a clean install.
I have launched the installation of the rom, installation was complete, the phone has reboot, I show Pixel Experience boot sequence with Google logo. The process asked me a password (Encrypted?) . I decided to reboot the phone.
Now, the phone is blocked with a bootloop in recovery mode. I can't access anymore to TWRP recovery. (Erased?)
To explain clearly the situation: I have the menu showing these options: Restart bootloader > Recovery mode > Power Off > Boot to FFBM > Boot to QMM I> Start
FastBoot Mode
PRODUCT_NAME - sdm710
VARIANT - SDM EMMC
BOOTLOADER VERSION -
BASEBAND VERSION -
SERIAL NUMBER - ********
SECURE BOOT - yes
DEVICES STATE - unlocked
No Bootloader, no Baseband.
All of the options return the phone back to the same menu.
The situation seems to be critical (phone bricked) and I can't do anything and I don't know what to do. Is there a chance to save my phone?
Your help will be precious to make my phone work.
Thanks in davance . Best regards.
Hey guys i am also in bootloop with unlocked bootloader ,can you please help us to save our phone !!!???

Help needed, stuck at Fastboot Mode

Hello guys!
I've been looking for a solution to this problem, I have a Moto One XT1941-5 that was never rooted nor bootloader unlocked. I left it charging and after about one hour it was at Fastboot Mode, it says that it failed booting from normal mode. Even if I try to restart or start normally, it gets back to Fastboot.
What have I done until now?
- Tried to flash the whole latest STOCK ROM again (manually with fastboot tools)
- Tried with a ROM from another region (mine is OPENMX and tried with RETLA) and I get the same
- Tried with Repair Assistant from Motorola, nothing happens.
- Tried to unlock bootloader, it asks me to enable OEM unlock on Developer settings (I can't, phone doesn't power up)
* Something that gets me confused is about the slots, $fastboot getvar all reports that none of the slots are bootable, every time I flash the ROM it says that slot A is bootable and B not, or that A is not bootable and B yes, or none of the slots are bootable.
Here are some screenshots about the info I have.
You can follow these steps from https://forum.xda-developers.com/motorola-one/how-to/unroot-ota-wipe-data-tested-t3905745 and then fastboot erase userdata and try to boot again.

No, I think this problem has to do with the EMMC memory.
Yesterday I was trying again with the Android 10 stock rom using fastboot, nothing changes.

Even if you do that, there's no blankflash for this model... as long as I know, I was looking forward to find it somewhere but there is none available.

That's correct, now my device shows nothing on screen, it is just black but when I plug the usb cable, fastboot detects it as fastboot mode, all commands are working but nothing else works.
I'm giving up now.

UPDATE:
- I finally found a blankflash (my phone still the same) but you can give it a try.

1. To make your phone go to Qualcomm 9008 all you have to do is download an Android 8.1 stock rom from any region, flash it all using fastboot. You may get an error trying to flash boot.img but keep flashing the files.
2. Once you finish flashing and type: "fastboot reboot", your phone will boot into Qualcomm mode, it should be listed in Device Manager.
3. DISABLE any antivirus and download this blankflash, just unzip it and execute the blankflash.bat file.
4. Your phone should boot up in fastboot mode and you can start flashing the latest stock rom.

Was your device detected as Qualcomm? Did you use the blankflash file? Did yor phone boot to fastboot?

Indeed, after flashing an Android 8 firmware my phone went into Qualcomm 908 EDL mode. After blankflashing and flashing the latest firmware had the same issue with "No bootable A/B slot". The same state before hardbricking the phone (AP Fastboot flash mode secure).

No, lmsa would recognise the phones after A10 update, but the problem persists. Someone who has repaired this or someone who has managed to take it to the service or managed to revive the phone from this state? With locked bootloader

That didn't help either, there's nothing else we can do than replacing the main board.
Hello.
I have a similar problem. I have tried all of the methods listed, unfortunately nothing works. I ended up replacing the motherboard. The old PCB is waiting, maybe someday it can be repaired.
