I have a Note 8 from T-Mobile and every other rooting process I find does not work. I am starting to think there is no root for this version. I have been able to root every Samsung phone I have had prior to this one. I have had this phone for 3 years or so, and I have not been able to root it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
From what I understand, this can root your Note 8 on Bootloader 6.

I have a samsung galaxy S4 and recently purchased a zsamsung T700 8.4 samsung tablet. Both are running KitKat.
I'm really tired of being afraid to root these since I'm stuck with the loss of so much memory devoted to bloatware. I'm a very capable Windows user and really should be able to learn how to root my phone and tablet.
Would greatly appreciate recommendations of sites or books that would simplify the process so that I can get over the anxiety and develop more competence.
Thanks
Not sure about the tablet, but I help you find a guide if you could post your s4 model number. If you're running on the i9500 or i9505, easiest way to root it would be to first download odin 3.09 and flash a custom recovery on it, simple process which shouldn't mess up the phone. And once that's done you can flash a custom/stock rom which is knox and bloatware free, or you can choose to flash SuperSU and gain root access.
But if you're looking to only root your s4 for removing few system apps, check out "cf.autoroot tool" by chain fire, and check if your firmware is supported. It's a simple one click root method.
I used towelroot to root my Verizon Samsung S4. it took seconds to root which was kind of strange for me as the last time i rooted a phone it was the HTC Thunderbolt. whole different process. So again i rooted the phone with Towelroot but superSU app wasn't installed. I went to the playstore and downloaded the Superuser. At this point i'm unsure how to flash a rom to this phone or how to flash and add anything to it. I know the phone has root because i used a root checker.
where can i find a good list of ROMS and other fun stuff to add to my phone?
I need to get this phone set up and ready to ship to my son tomorrow so if anyone can help me i would greatly appreciate it
Hopefully he's a fan of touchwiz. Do some research on safestrap recovery as this is most likely your only option for flashing roms.

So I just bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 SM-T350.
I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction to get it rooted, as well as to back up the stock ROM. I'm pretty new new to android, so I'd like to make sure that I'm able to reverse any software-related damage I might inadvertently do to the tablet, but mostly I'm just looking to root it - and if I can only get it rooted, then I'll just avoid software related fiddling until I find out how to back up the rom. I'm presently running 5.0.2 lollipop.
Thank you for the help!
I too have a 5.0.2 LP and it is easy to root without a PC. Try Googling Kingo Root, v 3.2 is the latest as of now. Back-up first. To point you in the right direction take a look at forums covering T350 root and recovery. Also, Odin and get a laptop.
Glad for you. Me? I apparently killed my older SMT 350 trying to root it. Now I can't get the stock firmware back on, I don't have root, and the tab is pretty much bricked. I can't even turn the thing off! I used Odin (which I've successfully used before several times) but the root gods were not with me. Anyone have any idea how I can unscrew this? I bought it in 2017 or so.
Hi,
I've been an Android user for quite some time now but I recently upgraded to Geotel Note 4G and would like to root it, because some apps only work on Root Mode and if not, they just won't (you guys know). The problem is that I've seen a tutorial on how to root it but I'm worried I may brick the phone if something goes wrong.
Saw this tutorial: stupdroid.com/2017/04/root-twrp-geotel-note.html
Is there like a one-click root solution that I could use? I did try KingRoot but it failed.
The seller told me it'd arrive rooted but it didn't though I still really like it overall, it would just be much better if it were rooted.
Thanks.
I want to root my Samsung A025v but it is a USA based Snapdragon Verizon model. I have done the date and time, software update trick a bunch of times but nothing happened. Am I just not getting into it?
U.S. variants always have locked bootloaders. You're not going to be able to root it via conventional means. I think there was a paid service here in XDA but I don't know if this phone is supported.
