i have a Note 10 Plus, is there a way to sync the DCIM folder between my 2 devices so that whatever photos i take on my Note will show up on my tab? Thank you.
Is there a reason why you wouldn't just sync both to Google Photos? I use that on both and it basically accomplishes what you are looking for.
It works with Google Photos. I initially thought they were not syncing then I realized I have about 8000 photos on my Note 10+. I gave it enough time to sync all the photos, now all the photos are showing up on my tab. Thanks.

Hi all,
Yesterday, I was updating the picture of around 15-20 of my main contacts. I did that from the web interface of Gmail. It took a long hour to select the pictures from my computer and add them all from this not-very-friendly web interface.
Once finished, I ran to take my new Nexus 4 and I was pleased to see all those 15-20 contacts updated with a decent resolution version of the picture.
But the second surprise was not so good at all: when I enter in the Gallery of the Nexus 4, I realize that for each picture that I upload from Gmail, an album in Picasa was automatically created and therefore, in the Android Gallery I had 15-20 new albums with one pic each... Thanks Lord that I decided not to update the pictures of the 178 contacts that I have in Gmail account...
REALLY Google??... Is this really necessary?
Do you really need to generate one Picasa album with one (and only one) picture in it for each contact that you decide to update the picture of?... C’mon, if you want to force me to use your Picasa service, what about to generate ONE and only one Picasa album named “contact pictures” and place inside of it all the contact pictures that you upload from Gmail?
Needless to say that I have already deleted all those 15-20 albums from the Picasa web interface because that was the only way to make them disappear from my Nexus 4 Gallery…
Am I missing something or this is, by far, the most stupid thing that Google has implemented recently?
Cheers.
PS: apologies for my poor English.
My auto backup is turned on for Google Photos. Any pictures I take on my phone automatically get uploaded to my Google Photos online. If I go through my Gallery app (not my Photos app) and delete pics, will they also be deleted from my Google Photos online next time I sync?

Funny how no one has addressed this yet. People are fooled by the numerous videos on Youtube on how to remove the photos. But all those videos show the exact same instructions which only remove the photos from syncing to that device. It does not delete them. Once you buy a new phone, those photos will show up again.
I would like to know where they are coming from..
I just got a new phone and I want to transfer the contact photos i have in my old galaxy s4 to my new oneplus two.
Is there a simple way to do this? I tried syncing google accounts but the pictures don't change on to the photos I have on my old device.
Hi Everyone,
I recently migrated from a Nexus 6P to a Note 8. Previously, all my camera photos taken on 6P was synced to Google Drive's Google Photos folder. Now that I migrated to the Note 8, the Photos / Gallery app only shows photos taken on the Note 8. If I wanted to view my old photos, I'd have to go into Google Drive app.
Is there a way to sync Google Drive with Photos or Gallery app?
bump...
Either you will have to manually download all photos from Google Drive and then place them in respective folders. Or install a gallery app that allows cloud sync, for eg. QuickPic does that.
bump anyone else?

Hi
Having recently changed from an iPhone to an S9+ I've now also changed from an iPad to a Galaxy Tab S3. All was easy with switching to the S9, but less so with the Tab S3.
With the S9, I can view all of my photos stored on Google Photos in the Samsung Gallery App. For some reason, I can't do the same with the Tab S3 - it only shows me pictures I have either taken with the camera or downloaded, but none of my Google pics. I am struggling to understand why the two Samsung devices are so different.
I also have a missing marketplace icon on Facebook, whereas on the S9 it's present and working!
Can anyone help on either of these two queries?
Thanks!
I don't have this problem. I can see all my photos from photo.google.com just like I can from my phone on my Tab S3. Are you sure you logged in with the correct google account? It should work automagically.
Thanks for your reply.
Yes I'm logged in with my correct Google account details. I can see my Google photos in the Google Photos app but none of them appear in the Samsung Gallery app for some reason. It's really strange¡
Okay so I've worked it out (after resetting the device for no reason it turns out!).
My S9 is displaying loads of photos in the Gallery App as they were copied over from my old iPhone, not because Google Photos is sharing with the Gallery App.
If there is any way that I can see the photos saved in Google Photos with the Gallery App that would be great, but it doesn't seem as though this is possible.
I still have the same problem with Facebook.
Thanks
