Hello. I have been using findx for 2 months. However it seems there's no ported gcam for this device. Recently new version of gcam has released and I really want to try it on this device. Unfortunately I have no knowledge of Android developing, so I can't build it on my own. If there is someone using findx and gcam on it, please let me know.

FYI, Google Camera app version 2.7.010 works perfectly on EUI 5.8.019s onwards.
Le Max 2 is as good as Google Pixel XL(obviously on paper )
I would love to contribute, not like building the ROM(never done it and I don't have to system at the moment to build one) but could help with some trial logic or something on similar lines.

Stock firmware is based on 6.0.1 so it wont work.
So you should wait for the official nougat support or for the proper camera support in unofficial CM14.1.

but as some devs are building unofficial cm 14.1 for our device hence i asked here... so that if possible they could include this mod.

I thought because of merger with color os and in preperation to android 12 (oxygenos 12) there would use the newer kernel 4.19 or 5.4. Its even recommended from the android developers.
Maybe in oos12 we get a newer kernel would be interessting to know. I still cosider to buy a Nord 2 to play for some months with it. But now not sure. Example like this shows us why the merger of color os and oxygenos make sense. More developers and so on.

Because 1+ is GPL complain.
About the kernel version, I dont think the new change in 1+ with the merge with ColorOS in Android 12 will bring new kernel version, because that come from MTK BSP, and normally, QCOM and MTK only bump the minor version code, like 4.14.XXX only.
How's it going everyone, usually I would dive into dev previews, but seeing as I use my device for work now I sadly can't test it yet. How's it working, any features worth installing it for, and also root.ect working or has Google patched us out again?

I just started a new project for taking roms and pre rooting them so when installed the OS is already rooted. I have a p6 so since I just started that is the only device I have roms for. If you use another device and want to help make these roms pretty me know. Mod edit: Link to TG channel removed.

It should be, I've had other devices before where I could do this. I only use pixel currently. If I can find someone willing to help with that device I would 100% upload roms for it
