I just bought a OnePlus 7T with Android 10 already installed. I noticed that the "pop-up notifications" setting in WhatsApp it's grey, blocked. I'm an absolute ignorant on things like Android programming and similar, but I thought that the specific setting has been blocked by the new Android 10, and not by OxygenOS, so I tried to ask for informations directly to Android customer service without response. I tried also contacting WhatsApp customer service, but the response was just a link to a page that literally says: "on Android 10 pop-up notifications doesn't work", without further explanation on the reasons for that. Last, I tried searching on XDA and other forums, but I didn't found anything. Does anyone know why on Android 10 this feature has been blocked and if there is a way to bypass it?
It's very annoying having to unlock your phone and search for that specific notification every time.

Hi everyone,
For a few weeks, every saturday morning when I'm at home, I receive on my Android phone a notification called "Notification de requête de location" (french), which means in english "Renting request notification", with a phone number belonging to my operator.
My phone is absolutely not a rental phone. I don't know if "Location" in french is well translated, or if it may mean the english word "location" ?!
What ever I'm doing on the phone, a new screen comes up (see attachment) with that message.
Then, a new line appears in notification bar with the same message.
Have you ever seen something like this ? I searched but found nothing about it.
My phone is a Wiko Cink Peax 2, with stock Android 4.1.2.
It does not seem to be a scam app or something like that, it seems to come from the system...
If someone can tell me what is this thing

I found this topic because I was looking for something like this. A friend of mine has the same problem.
I'm not sure it's "location" but "localisation". And the number is the same on yours screenshots and her's.
I think it come from an app, but I don't know which one... I will try to search for it, but if anyone already knows please let me know

Then last week looking for an application I added a few more. Neither the first nor the second all added, had always complained that any certificate or something but for me were expendable and was not a problem.
But I discovered that this last time I've seen that have disappeared watch two applications, one of the Weather and over the alarm clock (in Spanish we call clock to wake up) and I need them.
I've tried different firmware and update reappear after these two applications but only a few minutes because when I look back no longer are.
I tried resetting to factory and all the applications that I added but not deleted appear the two I lost.
I have searched pro internet and asked in many places but no one answers or no one knows why wonder where you have deep knowledge if someone could tell me where I can find these two applications or recover or if someone tells me how to extract a room or me You can send, I will be very grateful.
My other problem is that you buy the watch legally but internet and did not know it was necessary to have a Samsung mobile so that it can use, my phone is Huawei Ascend P6 (U06) so I had to find the way to install your Gera Manager to initiate Gear S, I got it and I could synchronize almost everything but heat or can I use the market to Samsung, or I can download apps from google market for Samsung so neither synchronizes my S Healt but the biggest problem is that I can not access download these two aplicacioens in case they were (I do not know but I think not because I think they are based, said stock?).
I even consulting Samsung but was told there was no other way to use the clock to install applications that access having a Samsung mobile and installed the clock via mobile ... step commented that they refer also to take Healt S records of mobile to the computer and told me that they could not done through synchronization with the application in the mobile ...
Total I'm handcuffed, please help

I encountered this problem too in last few days. There are three applications disappeared: weather, alarm, and e-mail. And I have no idea what happened. Maybe it's the setting of the firmware?

True, to put applications if I remember correctly you have to give it root and install another version of firmware, this has made many people per ocreo that many did not use those applications and therefore not hechan missing. Auna I updated latest version appeared three applications but only a few minutes, it seems as if other applications or the system itself remove them for something, see if someone helps us, while I put it and yours is the first participation thanks for teaching that does not happen only to me, Greetings

For few month now, I get random calls where there is only 2 to 3 number difference between my phone number and the caller number. I usually do not answer and I turned off my voicemail as well. If I answer the phone, the line cuts off right away.
I used to use Hiya app but it has lost the edge that it had in the past.
I came across an article from The Verge (https://www.theverge.com/2018/3/6/1...op-block-robocalls-robots-scam-iphone-android) that Google's phone app and Samsung's S phone app has in built spam call blocker. I knew of Google's app but not Samsung's.
I am running Optimized Lineage OS 15.1 on my Galaxy S4 Play Edition. Any possibility that either of the above mentioned apps have been ported?
Anybody else getting similar calls and found a solution?

I took advantage of a trip to Shenzhen to buy a Double Sim Mate 20 Pro 128GB LYA-AL00.
Is there a way to put an European rom on it? I have a lot of bloatware, useless Chinese applications and I only get notifications from WeChat, it's annoying ... lol.
If a solution exists, it will be great!
Maybe I'm wrong but I thought I read on Funky Huawei's Twitter feed that they were able to install the global ROM on a Chinese M20P but it did not rebrand the phone to a different region.
Since bootloader unlock codes seem to be available again there might be some ROM development.
Unfortunately Funkyhuawei does not respond to my tweets or emails. So, I do not know if something is possible or not. Currently the Chinese Rom is full of bloatware, I have big problems of notifications and the applications of background. If anyone has any advice to give me or a procedure to follow, I want to try because despite this smartphone is great, this ROM is very difficult for me.

In the notifications section from the settings have you enabled notifications for your apps ?
When I call my girlfriend/friends I like to read the news and search things up as we talk. As you can imagine, I prefer using VOICE SEARCH as opposed to TYPING.
Well what do you know... ANDROID made it where if I'm on a phone call, I cannot use my VOICE SEARCH feature. I was always able to do this on my Samsung S8+. I bought a OnePlus 7T and now I am not able to do this.
I was about to return my phone for that reason but when I went to the Verizon store and tested out the new SAMSUNG S20 ULTRA, it's the same thing. It seems the "geniuses" at Google disabled this feature for whatever reason. Please tell me there is a way around this.
I have already deleted and disabled Google Chrome and Google Search widget because I can't watch videos while I'm on a phone call. I've confirmed this is the case with all the recent Android phones out. I found a fix around that though: FIREFOX and FIREFOX SEARCH WIDGET.
I'm losing my mind I am starting to hate Android more and more they keep making our lives more difficult. Please help me before I switch to an Apple device!

On my note 8 I used to have a problem that irritated me. From time to time google assistant will pop up when I am using speaker phone..
Sometimes it's bixby..
It is very irritating. Then the problem just vanished. Wasn't really paying attention so im not sure which update removed it.
But to me it's nice that it's removed.
You might want to check if siri will work while on the phone before switching camps.

It has nothing to do with the voice search app. it seems when I am on a phone call my microphone is disabled for any type of voice input other than talking on the phone call. It doesn't matter what the app is. This wasn't the case on my Galaxy s8 plus and I have confirmed that this is the case for the new Galaxy s20 as well.
