MT6739 on Chinese unbranded smartphone - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, I recently bought an unbranded Chinese smartphone/smartwatch hybrid from Alibaba, it doesn't specify any name or product information, just the chip - MT6739 that it is running and the ID: DM100. Can anyone assist me on how can I start developing a custom android rom, or has anyone worked with such devices? Any help or resources are really appreciated. I do know development for such a chipset is wide as many smartphone manufacturers use it. Motorola, LG, Lenovo, Doogee, Huawei, ZTE and others.

[Q] Develop ROM for unbranded tablet

I bought an unbranded tablet. It is actually manufactured by ONDA. I want to develop ROM for my tablet. What should I do to develop ROM? How can I learn full specification of this device ?(Company I bought not shares all specification.)

[Q] Rooting/Custom ROMs for Huawei Ascend G600 (U8950-1)

The other Ascend G600 thread was dedicated to the dual-sim model (U8950D) so I made this thread exclusively for the U8950-1. It's the single-sim model primarily sold in Europe and South Asia.
My questions:
Having obtained the bootloader unlock key from Huawei, how does one unlock and root the phone?
Will one be able to backup the original firmware that comes bundled with the phone and restore it on a whim, if required?
Are there any custom ROMs for this particualr model?
+1.
I think it's a great device to develop for.
Calling developers.
edit: i have found an application that claims to root the Huawei u8950-1 .
i can't afford to try it. Someone may try and inform us.
regards.
here's the website for downloading the rooting application http://www.srsroot.com/
and also check the supported devices page where Huawei u8950-1 is mentioned.

Agreed. Being a developer meself, I wouldn't mind looking into porting Jelly Bean to this device. Only the prospect of potentially bricking my phone in the process hinders me And the lack of time.
Well... Someone has to take the initiative. Breaking the ice.
Any developer can do it without the risk of bricking the device I'm sure. Unlike us.
let's hope and cross fingers.

Rooted my G600 (U8950-1) today
I followed this topic (downloaded files from this page also) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2081279
Maybe that post for U8950D but everything works perfectly for my U8950-1
Good stuff On a related note, do you know if rooting the phone voids the warranty? I've read conflicting reports on it online.
EDIT: Have you also installed ClockWorkMod?

.
are g600 sources released till now?

None, unfortunately There's a Jelly Bean ROM ported from the G510 series and a MIUI ROM for the dual-sim model, but both have their share of issues.

Download Kingo Android Root onto your computer. Connect your phone in debug mode and let the program do the rest for you.
Best of all the program can also unroot your phone. ha ha

I also read that VIBE UI 2.0 is about to come out
but the translation from Chinese always mentions something about some sort of "brush" software for upgrading
or the translation might have been off.

Help Please - "International" Firmware for China Mobile N3 m850a Smart Phone...(?)
The N3 m850a is a China Mobile produced smartphone.
It incorporates a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 MSM8953 chip.
The phone is installed with a Chinese version of Android 7, which means no Google apps and basically somewhat different menu setup.
I was hoping that, maybe, there is a firmware that could be compatible with this phone...preferably with some of the latest Androind platforms.
I would greatly appreciate any help or guidance with locating a possible firmware.
Thank you so much, all the best and stay safe in these turbulent times.
/Gil
