How do you enable aptx? I did it in developer options but it keeps jumping back to sbc. I am using a Sabbat E12 Ultra which has aptx.
Thank you.
Same issue. Did you find a solution? Thanks
The way i do it turn on Bluetooth make sure you dont connect to any Bluetooth device! Then jump into Dev options and select the codec i need, it works everytime..

Hi all,
I got this Tanix TX5 Pro TV box a couple of days ago.
This box has regular Andoid 6.0.1 installed.
My former TV box had 5.1 installed and had a setting in the Speech & Input settings, where I could switch between USB and something else.
This setting allowed to use an USB sound card with plugged mic and I was able to get the sound out of HDMI.
Thi setting does not exist in my box, so I have troubles to get the mic working through the USB sound card...
I tried 2 different USB SC, both are not working. One of them have a blinking LED inside where you can see if the mic has been activated. The LED is alltime on, not blinking at all. In this case there is no voice recognition.
Any ideas outa there how to fix this settings menue?
Help is apreciated.
Thanks,
May be it´s not really necessary to have this menue...
...but how can I get my mic working on my box?
What I could figure out:
If I deactivate the switch "DisableUSB audio routing to USB audio peripherals" in developer options activate the mic, but I don´t get audio out of HDMI, it´s routed to the USB sound card.
The other way to switch on the setting, the mic doesn´t work, but I get audio over HDMI.
I have no clue how to fix this issue...
Can you view Developer Options? One of the toggles is "Prevent USB audio routing" and it is on by default. See if you can turn that off.
I'm trying to change Bluetooth audio settings on developer options, but they're all disables.
Anyone knows what happens or how to enable them?
Screenshot attached.
I think you have to be connected to one audio device to get those settings accessible, they're greyed out for me as well. As I'm still waiting for my Freebuds 2 to arrive, I haven't tried myself. One reported issue with this is that those settings do revert back each time you disconnect your device, thus you have to set them every damn time you want to connect your headset.
bluetooth and audio is terribe for this device... so out of sync
You do need to be connected to a Bluetooth device for those options to be selectable but it won't let you choose options that aren't supported be the connected device.
I think since Android Oreo Android automatically selects the highest quality codec that the connected device supports which is why the option to select a default codec is no longer there.
When a device is connected you can manually select options that are supported using the developer options.
I haven't had any Bluetooth issues with my M20P. Sound quality is fine, everything connects with no problems and there are no sync issues.
If someone is experiencing issues they might want to try booting into recovery and wiping the system cache.
My M20P connected more quickly to my car Bluetooth after I did that.

Click to collapse
I have completely the opposite. This is the only phone you can watch netflix or youtube on through bluetooth which doesn't take the video and audio out of sync.
As for the OP, you can't force a bluetooth peripheral to use a coded it doesn't support.
BOSE for example uses AAC or SBC.
Ok mine are the jaybird runs .. work fine on every other device except this.
I have a range of bt devices. Two Fiio device with LDAC, Aptx-(HD) support and a Sony wh900n with the same. When connected is automatically uses LDAC (best available quality) , but in the Bluetooth setting I can switch to aptx-hd (more stable connection)
Just if anyone is looking for answer :
Yes, Mi8 PRO supports LDAC straight out of the box.
As soon as I've connected Sony WH-1000XM3 message appear something like "do you want to use LDAC connect your Bluetooth device?"
hi, i have haylou gt1 earphone and when connected to poco f1 it only works in sbs codec, if i try with other devices it always connects with aac, i have tried changing the codec in developer setting but it never sticks, can someone please suggest a solution... btw im on stock miui 10.3.7.0 and would prefer not to flash custom rom just to fix this.
I know there is a magisk module that forces the SBC codec to use high bit-rates.
Other than that, bear in mind that developers settings will apply changes only when a Bluetooth device is connected.
How do you deactivate "Disable Bluetooth A2DP Hardware Offload" Android 10 ?
Prior to flashing Havoc OS 3.7 on my Oneplus 3T, I'd activated "Disable Bluetooth A2DP Hardware Offload".
I'm currently using Havoc OS 3.7 custom ROM. The "Disable Bluetooth A2DP Hardware Offload" had been greyed out in the activated position.
Some users suggested the following "To make it switch able I turned off Bluetooth then turned developer mode off then back on without leaving developer mode and it make it switch able". According to another user: "It worked, but after switching modes, the phone restarted, switched on the option and greyed out again".
Lots of posts indicated this issue happens with different devices. Has anyone been able to deactivate "Disable Bluetooth A2DP Hardware Offload"?
I want to deactivate it so that I can use AAC bluetooth codec on a bluetooth headphone which supports AAC codec.
Thanks
