I'm waiting as well. Not sure if it is "merger" related, or if they are just slow.
I believe AT&T got it possibly on Saturday.

Just downloading the One UI 2 and Android 10 update (still December security patch).. it is 1943.94MB in filesize!
UK unlocked Note10, directly purchased from Samsung UK!

Latest Firmware?

I want to know what the latest firmware is please, what the the fastest one is as well, because samfirmware has the latest firmware which is 2.3.4 but before that it has 2.3.5 so I assume 2.3.5 is newer? KI3 is newest?
1) Which is the newest firmware?
2) Which is the fastest firmware?
Thanks
Samsung ROM: 2.3.5 (My custom ROM, CriskeloROM uses XWKJ1 as base, very stable, very fast, some people report the KI3 base is very stable as well)
Custom ROM: CyanogenMod 7.1 Base 2.3.7
So KI3 is the newest? Why does Samfirmware have a 2.3.4 firmware after that, also, does KI3 fix the Android OS bug? Thanks
Noting will fix the AOS bug mate, its as simple as that.

Huh? I thought XWKJ3 is the latest one right now?
Samfirmware is sorting the firmware on leaked date not from oldest to newest. usually the newest firmware has the latest letter in alphabet. That means XWKJ3 seems to be the latest for now. We will never know which is the best because samsung its not releasing any changelog, you can only trust your experience or from the other.
Thanks for clearing it up

So if there was a firmware called ZAAAA1, would that be the "latest" version then?

Only the last 3 characters indicate the date.
K = Year
J = Month
3 - Revision
KF1 would be year 2011 (K), month June (F), revision 1.
KJ3 would be year 2011 (K), month October (J), revision 3.

Its a code for the region/carrier and not always intuitive.

[Q] Samsung ROM Version Numbering?

Can anyone explain the Samsung ROM version number scheme? For instance, what does XWKL1 translate into?
Just interested. Thanks,
Craig
This is from the Galaxy Note forums but still applicable:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=19553821&postcount=1
XWKL1 would be a build from Dec 2011, 1st revision, for the region France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, United Kingdom
Perfect. Thanks!

Galaxy S3 Exchanged after problem (O2 UK) Asia firmware on UK phone

Been having a few problems with redraws and then my internet wouldn't open at all even after reset,it was like it had vanished, then i was getting loads of freezes and you couldn't open phone as swipe wasn't working
So received my new phone from O2 but it has a different firmware than my old one
My old one had
Base Firmware: I9300XXALE8 (4.0.4)
Region Europe
Country: United Kingdom
My new one has
Base Firmware: I9300XXALEF (4.0.4)
Region Asia
Country: Sri Lanka
Any reason why i have a asia variant phone ?
You need to ask O2 that question as its not normal .

Does it make any difference what region firmware is on phone ?

No as long as you dont mind not getting UK updates and can cope with the language and the modem actually works in the UK .
Me i would return as not fit for purpose .
jje
Just got off phone with O2 and they confirmed firmware was indeed Asia lol they are exchanging phone again and notifying warehouse that they have Asian units.
I have asked them to send a pebble blue phone out instead of white one
Just got new pebble blue galaxy and guess what ! it has same firmware as above
Base Firmware: I9300XXALEF (4.0.4)
Region Asia
Country: Sri Lanka

Custom ROM --OR-- New Stock ROM...???

Hi everyone,
This is more of a question for people who have played around with other ROMs, aswell as had the chance to have a play with Samsungs official STOCK rom with the NEW firmwire...
Doubt its very many because it would involve a FULL WIPE.
My question is this...
Ive used Omega ROM for a few weeks, was good, then changed to CheckROM Evo v2 (because checkrom was AMAZING on my SG2).
CheckROM then brought out v3.5 of their ROM, "no wipe", so i updated without wipe, now some of my apps/games don't work.
I won't ask questions about that because the obvious answer would be to do a FULL WIPE and it should work. But i dont want to keep doing this whenever a NEW version of a particular ROM comes out....its a pain!
Yeah, sure, i could just stick to one rom and be happy, but i can't when i know theres a newer/better one out there! LoL!
So, getting back to my question...
I've obviously seen that Samsung has updated their Firmware and heard nothing but good reviews about it; no more lags on homescreen etc..
Would anyone suggest (and why) just flashing back to the Stock ROM rather than hae a custom ROM installed???
Thanks for anyone would read all that without getting bored and is willing to respond!
U are already on latest firmware LFB. LG1 is the same just for Asian, LFB is European.
even though a rom is no wipe it's always best to wipe anyway,to get a clean install.
use "titanium backup" to. Backup all your user apps and settings.
Don't restore system apps,it's never a good idea

LFB can be anywhere. Its the XX in XXBFLB that is the region code. XX could be any of the following:
AW → Hungary
AZ → France
BD → Cyprus, Greece
BY → Greece
CB → Poland
CE → Benelux
CP → Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden
DB → Vietnam
DC → Thailand
DD → India
DT → Australia
DX → Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam
DZ → Malaysia, Singapore
JA → South Africa
JC → Algeria, Morocco, Nigeria, South Africa, Tunisia
JP → Arabic
JR → Arabic
JV → Algeria, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Morocco, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia,South Africa, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey
JW → West Africa
JX → Algeria, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Morocco, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia,South Africa, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey
KA → Turkey
ME → France
MK → Serbia
MS → France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, UK
MT → Switserland
MY → Italy
NH → Latvia
PO → France
PU → Russia
UB → Brazil
XA → Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Switzerland, United Kingdom
XB → Denmark, Norway, Sweden
XC → Portugal, Spain
XD → Croatia, Czech, Hungary, Slovakia
XE → Bulgaria, Estonia, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Ukraine
XF → Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania
XP → UK, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Poland, Portuguese, Turkey
XX → Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom
XW → Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom
ZC → China, Hong Kong
ZH → Hong Kong
ZS → China, Hong Kong
ZT → Taiwan
I dont know what the first B means But LFB means 2012, June, Revision 11
Edit... So I think whats happening is International GSM are all XXB, and each area get a specific revision. So XXBLG1 is International GSM, 2012, June, revision 16, which is the same features as LFB but for Singapore and Malaysia
Original question .
In my view their is very little difference in any of the stock roms so far .
Custom Samsung based roms likewise very little if any performance difference few have add in pretty stuff and thats about it . Usability and benchmarks all the same .
Dont forget most custom Samsung roms are just that Samsung rom with a bit of cut and paste on top .
The key is good rom that's it rom updated every week or less cannot be a good rom likewise those that jump on the latest firmware .

[Question] Finding the correct stock rom

Hi all,
I would like to go back to stock rom but before i do i seek some education
So looking for stock rom for Samsung Galaxy A3 2017 (SM-A320FL) and I found a few websites and they all show something like:
Supporting Versions
A320FLXXU1AQA6 COS Greece Cosmote
A320FLXXU1AQA6 OPT Portugal Optimus
A320FLXXU1AQA6 FTM France Orange
A320FLXXU1AQA6 XEU Europe
A320FLXXU1AQA6 BTU United Kingdom
A320FLXXU1AQA6 ORS Slovakia
A320FLXXU1AQA6 OPV Orange Poland
A320FLXXU1AQA6 MET Ireland Meteor
A320FLXXU1AQA6 PLS Poland Plus
A320FLXXU1AQA8 3IE Ireland three
A320FLXXU1AQA8 O2U United Kingdom O2 and all other Models.
My question is, how important is that version and how important is the region? In my case i am UK and I am with O2 and my phone had previously the Oreo update from Samsung. Also linked to this i think i have seen custom roms that say they are based on russian base version.
Thx in advance
