HELLO. I have no experience of unlocking or flashing a phone. but due to issues in my nokia 7 i decided to flash it to a different rom than the current cutom rom given by my seller. i have read this forum. and decided to give it a try. can u pls clarify which tool i should use for this. and if u already tried this how stable was your phone. thank u

As the title says, I am asking whether i can use cyanogenmod installer via play store to unlock bootloader. I have stock rom and I want to install 4.4 roms and i got sick of waiting for samsung to release an update. So i am asking if I used cyanogenmod installer to unlock the device and then unroot by myself. After then can i install other custom roms just by flashing them? Is this a safe course to follow or do you suggest it would be better to follow one of the guides that shows how to install custom roms on S3 from start(stock rom)?

Yes xiaomi.eu Rom is good, i have it too. You must unlock bootloader before install but thats easy.

Hey dr4kendroid, so my Note 4 will be arriving on Friday, and from what i've been reading, i think i'll flash .eu rom on it as soon as i unbox it.
Only one problem : the instructions found so far seem a bit unclear. So, i've read you already have it installed, can u give a little guidance please ? Thanks !

Sure, you need a valid Mi-Account from Xiaomi to do that . Description can be found in the "how to install" from xiaomi.eu ROM.

Just about to try it now, got permission 3 days after applying for unlocking.
Hi, I need to fix a bricked RN3 Pro for a friend. I don't want to unlock the bootloader. Are there are good ROMs other than the official Xiaomi ones that can be flashed to it? Preferably without the Chinese apps. I started looking through the ROM forum but everything seems to need unlocked bootloader.
The only roms that can be flashed to it on a locked bootloader are the official roms.

It's not my phone, I just want to unbrick it and give it back as soon as I can, so I don't have time to wait for the unlock code.
Also my friend is not the type who cares about custom ROMs, he just wants it to work with no bloatware.

Flash Miui 8 Global stable 8.0.1.0 rom via EDL mode.
I am very keen to know about flashing ROMs
I am using Redmi note 3 SD 3G. I want to flash the pixel ROM for my device and I have the following doubts
1) Do I need to unlock my bootloader or without unlocking my bootloader I can directly flash TWRP?
2) If yes, then do I need a beta version of MIUI for unlocking my bootloader cause I have been trying since a very long time but it is stuck at 50%(I tried all the solutions).

1. U have to unlock ur bootloader for flashing custom recovery .
2. it should be unlocked on any version but dev versions have more chance of unlocking than stable ones (especially china rom,s have high probability )
3 U can try unofficial bootloader unlocking but do it on ur own risk as it can hard brick ur device .

Wait for a few days or couple of weeks, that helped in my case. Update and try syncing your Mi account on your phone.
Follow the instructions here

If nothing works, follow this guide, just flash any ROM of your choice with TWRP.

And if you want the Pixel experience, install PureNexus ROM, it is better.
Just flash lineageos with stock gapps. And then flash my universal pixelmod. It will give you full pixel experience. Nav bar not included yet. Will include it in future.
Hello everyone.I wanted to update my new Mate 10 lite to android 8.0 with the custo installation method that requires unlocking bootloader that i found on internet,but i realized that using it will break my warranty and i dont want that.Will it be available throught normal System update later on,or is this the only way? Thank you.
i have the same quastion. but the update will come soon i am waiting for it because its a very big one face unlock...
I'm sure it's coming through OTA in a few weeks, don't risk your warranty on it, I'd rather wait and avoid any hassles with the bootloader and rooting.
