Accidentally cleared Google Services Framework/Now can't access Play Store & Internet
Hey guys so I encountered this problem because I was trying to get rid of an error popping up every time I open wifi on my phone, it was something like gapps stopped working and that would go on 3-4 times in 1 minute intervals every time I turn on wifi.
So I read something saying that you should just clear the data on a couple of internal apps on my device like the google play store and other apps similar to the Google Services Framework found on the ALL tab on manage apps.
So I proceeded to uninstall the updates on Google play store, I even uninstalled Google Play Services completely since it was just huge, then when I cleared the data for Google Services Framework when I tried accessing the Play Store, I wasn't able to. It just said Server error, even if I keep retrying it just won't connect. Same thing applies to cloud to device updates or basically anything that I can do with an internet connection that I previously had.
I was just wondering if anybody can help me solve this one.
I'm running a custom rom from Destructo570, the Extremis 2.1
Thanks in advance devs, as always.
You can try restoring the stock rom

Hi all,
My Z4 tablet is working great except for the play store. When I start play store I get a header that shows: "Play Store | Work" and "No results found." in the main view. In the menu on the left hand side I have "Store home" (which brings me to the "work home" (and no results). I have "My work apps" (that lists all my installed apps) and then the regular alternatives: "My wishlist", "My account", "Redeem", "Settings" ... etc
Under "My account" i see my purchases on my private account (a gmail acc) and I see the purchases I've made from my phone (a Nexus 6) where the play store works normally. So the play store account is the same but why do my Xperia Z4 Tablet think that I'm in "work mode"?
Thanks!
Same here, I can't install any apps. Useful.

I also have this issue.
You guys don't happen to have a google apps account as your main google account on the device?
That's what I have, so I'm wondering if that might be the cause of this.
An update: I reset my tab and activated nothing but my Google Account on startup.
Skipped anything Sony/Xperia related.
Everything seems to be working normally now
I do not have this issue

I have this issue on my Xperia Z3+. Using google apps account with my own domain.
Stop Playstore, clear its data
This helped me:
I went to settings / apps
searched for "PlayStore" app
went into the properties tag
stopped it and cleared the data
voilĂ
I'm having the same problem on my Z4 tab.
Unfortunately stopping and clearing data of the Play Store didn't fix it.
more radical:
try recreating your google account on the device
I'm also experiencing this issue.
Remove the Google account from the device and relogin worked for me.

Same issue here on a Sony xperia z4 tablet. Play store is in "work" mode. I tried cleaning up all the app data but it didn't help. I'm looking to disconnect and reconnect my Google account but, oddly enough, I can't find the way to do it. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Ps. I also use a Gmail account from my actual work on the same device (imap), maybe this is causing the issue? The correct account appears in the play store app though...
EDIT: Uninstalling the updates for the Play Store did the trick. It got back to the factory app and it's working again.
Yep removing the updates fixed it for me too. Nice one.
Argh, then it updating and broke it again. Play Store app 5.8.8 Hmmm
I had this problem, too. But the firmware update, which may not have made it to all markets yet, seems to have fixed it. I updated the firmware on Friday and have not had this issue since.

I see on the Sony website they are rolling out 28.0.A.8.251 and I'm still on 28.0.A.7.24 so hopefully this update will arrive for me soon and fix it. Thanks for the feedback
28.0.A.8.251 installed today, cleared the Play Store app data and cache and it seems OK at the moment
I also have the problem.it was OK some time after removing the Google account, then it reappeared. After updating to the latest firmware it was OK again and now it's another time back to work mode. This is really annoying and removing the Google account or clearing play data all the time really isn't an option.
Had this 'problem', too. But after updating to 28.0.A.8.251 it solved itself. But btw. what's the problem with workmode? I couldn't recognize any restrictions so far, so why not just simply ignore it?
I'm using a Chinese Huawei Honor 6 H60-L02 with Android 4.4.2 (rooted) that originally didn't have any Google Apps on it. I have successfully installed Google Play Services and Google Play Store. When Google Play Store is installed, everything works perfectly, including other Google Apps with my Google Account, except install. Every time I try to install an app the phone turns off and restarts (no matter if it's from Google Play Store, a separate APK, or Aptoide). I have tried uninstalling Google Play Store, then everything installs just fine. As soon as I install it again, the same problem returns. I have tried deleting cache and data, but to no avail. I can't find anything on the internet, any ideas!?
The ROM itself may be behind some of the issues as Play is not allowed in China.
Hello,
I have a rooted Oneplus 3T with android 6.0.1.
I tried to use the Freedom app, but it gave me problems with the Play Store, so I uninstalled it and restored the hosts file.
But I still had problems with in app purchases and the Play Store always asked me to accept Terms and Conditions.
Clearing Play Store cache didn't help, so I cleared Play Store data and everything is working now.
The only problem is that my apps list inside Play Store is now empty.
If I search for an already installed app, it gives me the possibility to update/open the app, and then it appears among the installed apps on my device.
Is there a way to force Play Store to check for all installed apps instead of doing it manually?
Thanks in advance!
Did you ever figure out a solution for this? Just had the same problem happen to me.
I get a 505 error when installing the new update on the google app.
I have tried all the tricks with the 505 error, logging off, clearing catche, re-install play store ect. But nothing seems to fix the problem.
Im still waiting on the new .122 update, maybe that will fix it.
Anyone else have the same problem or does anyone know how to fix it?
I've got the update 122 and get pending when installing or updating from play store but can install apps from huawei app gallery. Tried clearing cache and data, force stopping play store, removing my Google account, rebooting etc

Google play issue on Mate 20 Pro
I got my Huawei Mate 20 Pro from Amazon UK on Saturday 27th Oct. I setup the phone on Saturday night and it's been working fine till yesterday. I tried installing apps from the play store around 4pm but got Download Pending for any app. I tried clearing storage and uninstalling updates for Google Play but nothing worked, i also removed my Google account and reattached but again nothing. So finally i did a complete reset and it's working fine, plus there seems to be a new version of Google Play. Hopefully this is now fixed.
