Hi All,
Just got my GTR 47, very good looking & quality watch, when brightness is high the screen is spectacular with watch face that has 3D deep, for the sleep detection it does not detect when I am not sleeping, it find when I go to bed and wake up in the morning but between this I get up often at night to p and it did not detect that. anyone got this watch to better detect the sleep pattern. (compared to my fitbit blaze that was able to detect when I was not sleeping even if I was staying in bed).
thank you all.

I bought a Stratos to replace my amazfit bip and playing soccer, my stratos show around 185 bpm. It's impossible such reading. My old bip never showed more than 150 bpm (using treadmill as activity).
Is this sensor so bad? Can be improved in future updates?
As test I compared it to my fitbit and garmin and al readings are quite the same in workout and rest/sleep.
If I have a sprint or Hiit training my heart rate can spike to 190bpm. So 185 is possible depending on your workout.
Make sure your watch has the latest firmware, reset its data (factory reset then do not restore old data when pairing again) and use continuous HR for at least 24h and it should works a little better. Unfortunately the PPG sensor used in both Pace and Stratos isn't the best one around...
Hi Vogal , I'm experiencing the same as you.
I had a Bip for a year and a half. In the beginning HR was always 20 beats too low. If I wore in on the inside of my wrist, it was almost perfect.
I recieved my Stratos yesterday, it updated itself 3 times, even to the latest 2.3.8 that was released yesterday. I unpaired, rebooted, repaired, but didn't factory reset. HR is ALSO 20-30 beats to high. When standing still, measurement is perfect. But when moving, it's awful. On both watches.
Did you do a factory reset? Did it help?
My stratos HR works fine in spinning and elliptical machine. I compared it with another hr monitor with chest strap and both show very similar values. The problem is in outdoor activity like MTB. Here the stratos seems not realize about peaks of exercise and It always shows moderate values below 150 when the chest strap gives me values over 165. I tried tighting it more and different positions on my wrist but without any read improvement.
People, Pace/Stratos/Verge use a PPG sensor, it will never be accurate if you move your wrist/arm a lot, it is specially true when riding a bike... If HR accuracy is needed, use an external HR band.
The problem isnt the Stratos

The problem isnt the Stratos, its de Bip. I had one and never gave me the same value of the HR mesure of the running machine, also I tried with an Apple watch in other wirst and both, the running machine (also the eliptical) and the apple show me the same HR but the Bip was allways 30-40 beats lower
Hi,
I have a sleeping disorder and like to see my sleeppaterns. Next to that I have a realy low heartrate in rest (sporters heart)
Used it on my Garmin (worked great), Fitbit (worked a bit) and know Stratos (not good..).
The reasons the Stratos doesn't work good for me is that it detects my "resting heartrate" as sleep.
So when I'm awake in bed with my 45-55 heartrate it thinks I sleep.
So the watch thinks I slept for example from 0:00 till 6.30 while in real i only slept from 2.00 till 5.30.
That realy is a big difference.
Is there a way to adjust the sleeping heartrate in the watch?
That's strange.. I am almost sure that watch doesn't use HR to monitor sleep, only the accelerometer and ambient light sensor... If you don't move in a dark place during the night (it only records sleep between sunset and sunrise) then it will record that you slept. Continuous HR can be activated, some say the help detecting when you start/stop sleeping, but I doubt it... The only benefit is getting your resting HR (it only records this if HR is on while sleeping).

Ok, but how is that sleep tracking? If I lie still I sleep according to the watch?
My Garmin and Fitbit used HR to messure is as far as I know...
Continues HR is enabled, I track my HR all the time.
Hello, I also think that it uses hr sensor to at least know if you are wearing the watch: I dont wear the watch while I sleep, and somehow it knows it doesn't has to track my sleep because there is no sleep activity tracked in the app. Also, I place it in the bedside table and sometimes while in the dark i've seen the sensor trying to scan my wrist during a short period of time (maybe 10 seconds, no more). Makes sense to me that it could also use HR from time to time during night not to just know if I'm wearing it but also to collect HR data and use it.
Try going to amazfit app
Tap on Me > account info > heart rate zone > use reserved heart rate
In there there's something to do with resting heart rate and many other stuff to change your rate zones..
I hope this help.

I have never seen HR light on while I was in bed unless continuous HR was on... And for not detecting sleep while it's not being used it's easy: if it's horizontally and doesn't move then it's not being worn. A few times I left one of my watches on a table and they were tilted, and they registered a few hours of sleep... :silly:
I wish they would do an update and allow you to set a different time for sleep tracking. I work night shift and sleep during the day so my Stratos doesn't track my sleep because it's during the daytime hours.

I was surprised myself the other day as I went to sleep at 8am but according to my watch i didn't sleep at all. Also any nap during day are not recognised. I used to have Huawei Band 3 and it work flawless. Even if we had an option to manually start "sleep" so it knows we are about to sleep when we do fall asleep it will be taken into consideration.
Hi guys,
I just got my new Amazfit GTR and noticed strange behavior of heart rate monitor. It shows values even if the device is not on my wrist. I left the device on the table for more than hour and any time I looked on main screen there was heart rate value and it was also changing the values. So it wasn't just last value stuck. I tried to run exercise activity while leaving device on the table and it was showing heart rate as well. Not all the time but sometimes there was value and sometimes not. So is the device faking heart rate values? Is it normal behavior?
It is how PPG sensors work, they use the reflected light to estimate the number of beats. Search the internet for more info.
Well, I have another watch with PPG sensor but they don't show nothing when they are not on wrist.
So it will probably not be about sensor type. In this case they for example report my rest heart rate during the night even if they lay next to me on the table so the values will be completely faked.
The sensor works that way, but other devices may use *other* sensors to disable the reading when they detect the watch isn't being used, the accelerometer for instance.

HEyy,
- Also got 2 other product with the same comportment `` Fitbit Charge Hr ´´ and `` Fitbit Blaze ´´ , both detect when they are not in the wrist. Why doen's GTR do the same?
- Also both got more accuracy in Heart rate measurments...Because they are doing it consistently. With Amazfit GTR i only can program it to do it 1min in 1min. Already change it with Notify & Fitness. nothing seems to change....
- Another outburst from my side : heart rate scale doen't save scores higher than 180 BTM !
Are some of them just software issues ?
Regards to all
The heart beat sensor on the GTR is utter garbage. It does indeed fake heart beat results. Also the sleep analysis functionality is totally broken.
Just got my GTR and the heart rate monitoring is way off. Always some 20 to 35 Beats above the real one. As I have some hair I tried it in my finger and in my belly with the same wrong results. The firmware version is 1.3.4.19 which was updated immediately after first turn on. In contrast the free Android app I use is pretty accurate. I will still test the GPS.

I returned the GTR and got another one from another vendor and it has the same problem. I can now say that the heart rate monitoring in the GTR is useless, just a boring toy.
Amazfit admits that the heart rate monitor is "prone to inaccuracies" in its faq: https://support.amazfit.com/us/faq/839
As the heart rate sensor is basically a pulse oximeter which monitors the perfusion of blood to the dermis, it’s prone to inaccuracies. That’s because skin perfusion — a measure of how much blood flows through your skin-varies significantly from person to another. Especially the ones who have dark skin, hairy wrists, tattoo, and scar.

Oddly enough I have found the heart rate monitor to be remakably accurate if worn correctly and over the range 60-110. A few moments ago I confirmed previous results and while the watch showed 91 bpm a simultaneous ECG showed 90 bpm. The problem I have with the HR monitor is that it seems, when the cpu is stressed, to produce crazy results. To get around this I run exercise from the phone and get sensible results from the HR monitor. I might add that I was cooling down after exercise!
Well seems I am testing today. Had the watch about 2 days. I am guessing the watch does NOT show the current temperature? Like that matters. The GPS took about 45-60 seconds to connect, as others had. Seem to do faster NOT on wrist. Now my heart-rate monitor works really good. Tested it and I when I got 86 the watch got 85. did it again I got 84 thee watch got 85. Now I did take it off put it on the rubber mat and it kept going up to about 96 lol Put on my keyboard( light on top of keys) it went down to 40. Yet on my wrist works really good.
Hello all. After the latest firmware update 1.3.5.77 my amazfit gtr 47 mm battery drain fast. I mean he just drop 3% on iddle with DND on. That's normal or just some update issue. What can I do? Thank you for help.
Same here - just lost 20% overnight with the watch not on my wrist (having been getting 20 days usage before the update).
I suspect the new "sporadic nap" monitoring is on all the time and draining the battery, instead of being its own option or tied to sleep monitoring.
<edit>Interestingly, a few hours later with it on my wrist and it hasn't moved. So maybe there's an issue with the sporadic nap monitoring when it's not on your wrist.</edit>
Same issue here, maybe they will repair in next firmware
yeah, have this same issue with the gtr lite latest firmware ...
They have added some notification screens that will keep the screen on with full brightness and color and if you dont close it momentarily it will kill your battery in hours
the screen I've been seeing a lot "connection failed, please update the amazfit app ..."
I have same issue. Battery lasted 5 days only with heart rate sensor off.
Anyone can help.
the problem persisit, no change
I am currently on day 8 since last full charge.
AOD off.
Lift wrist to display off.
Total 5 days' gym workout comprises 43 sessions (with total 614 mins/5864 calories/60km run & walk).
Watch faces synced at least 30~40 times.
HR at 1-minute interval. Sleep assistant only enabled after day 5.
My GTR-2e is currently showing 54%. By calculation, I would expect it to last 17 days per single charge. It is much better than I earlier expected. Amazfit has not exaggerated on its claim that the watch can last for 24 days on typical use.
Hi, I wanted to ask if you know as I'm interested also to get it but searching online i couldn't find anything.
Does the GTR2e has rowing workout ?
I saw that it received an updated that increased the total supported workouts to 90 but i can't find anywhere a list with the supported workouts.
Thanks
I just checked. There is no rowing workout. My watch is updated.
Both indoor or outdoor rowing not available.
You can see also this post:

oh, thats a bummer.
Thank you for checking it.
Can you confirm that GTR2e can show AOD if lift to wake is active?
