it's a big battery...make the phone bigger but it worth if the life of that battery it is abot 2-3 day because i charged my phone every day with te stock one
Did you see the picture on Ebay? It claims that it is the same size as the OEM battery so you DO NOT need to change the back cover. You use the OEM cover

up to now tests showed that no alternate batteries were an improvement if they fit in the standard case. Google for the name of the battery perhaps you find something.
Are you on stock firmware? If yes a modified firmware might be a good idea. With froyo I reached more then 70 hours with low usage. The new GB roms will reach this also in a few weeks I think.

I hate to burst your bubble, but I have in the past bought and tried many, many replacement batteries for SE, Moto, HTC and other handsets and not single one of them clearly exceeded the capacity of OEM ones. Sure those sellers say theirs have 2200mAh or 2300mAh compared to OEM's 1500mAh they seem a lot better, but in realty they are about the same as the OEM at best. The one I have (they advertised as 2200mAh) for my X10 seems a little bit better than OEM. The 2300mAh one on Ebay, at least, doesn't try to copy the look of OEM, and (from my experience) it usually is a good sign of they are better than self-claimed really cheap OEMs you can find everywhere in Ebay. In the end, long battery life is not a forte of android. It's not like we have symbian devices.
As far as I know, "Mugen" replacement battery seems truly better than OEMs, though I haven't tried them personally. They are not cheap, you know.

Symbian battery is PATHETIC. I still have My N97Mini and my N8, alongside my HTC Sensation and SE X10, all heavily tweaked [you can't even tweak symbian that much] and I'll tell you now, its pathetic. Laggy like ****, but the battery wont even last 30 hours in minor usage, and not even 4 hours in hardout. My x10 can last like 4 days in the minimal usage and 10 hours in hardout, but I still carry one extra battery around =]

Just ordered this battery for $34 USD, will post a review when tested in a couple weeks.
I think it will be a good move from my side to search for such a battery. Ebay, i'm coming!
Seriously, the phone saps away power like mad when using Wi-Fi...

i've been using the 3200 mAh battery from ebay as my x10 battery for the past 2 months or so. It's really good if you don't mind the bulk, i can play psx games on my phone for about 8 hours and be left with 60% of my battery. if i don't use my phone much (just texting occasionally) it lasts about 2-4 days. So far no signs of overheating/blowing up .
(edit: used to be running on demand governor, recently switched to smartass. Battery seems to be doing even better)

Give it a thought: If the manufacturer of the original batteries would be able to squeeze a few extra hundreds milliamps into the battery without risking the battery security, don't you think they would have from the beginning?
There is always one or more downsides with these "better" batteries:
1: They're fake. in fact, it's only a 1700 mAh battery with a 2200 mAh sticker on it. Placebo warning here! Those reviews from other "customers"? Problably the manufacturer themselves, or payed "customers".
2: They're bigger, so they do need a different cover. These battery claims can be true, more capacity = larger battery. Something has to give in. (In this case: Size), right?
These bigger batteries are okay, as bigger battery means more capacity. You have to give up the slim size here.
3: They removed some or all security features in order to allow "overcharging". That way they can squeeze in a few more mAh in the battery.
The risk of overheating is very real here. There have been cases where such "no security" batteries have exploded, and in some cases even catching fire... while still in the owners pocket. Ouch! That gotta hurt alot.

This may not be 2500mah although it says it is. bcz it has to be much thicker if it was 2500. If you are willing to spend like $45 you can get the official samsung 2000mAh battery which is the best
Yep. Get a genuine Samsung 2000mAh. Been using one for over 12 mths & it's still going strong.
Tried a generic 3500mAh battery in late 2011, found capacity was closer to 2200mAh after a week of testing & it got seriously hot (high 40's C) when charging so I returned it & bought the OEM battery. YMMV may vary tho if you do get a generic battery; just as many people on here say some of them work well as people like me who think they're rubbish

Bit of a lottery. Some people seem to have good experiences with them, others not. Only way to find out is to try yourself; see if you can get one with the ability to get a refund if you don't like it (which is what I did).
Edit to clarify - My experience was a negative one - 3rd party battery was nowhere near rated capacity, and suffered significant overheating issues when charging, hence I got a refund. Other posters are on the money, 2000mAh Samsung battery is the go.
You must buy only original samsung battery 2000mah . It will give you best result compare to stock one

Many of the threads discussing battery replacements in this section are dispersed and old.
However,
I'm asking for help with updated opinions/recommendations/insights please.
I have a Note 3 (5.0) N9005 - original Samsung battery, and it needs replacement.
Problem: As I have a spigen neo hybrid case, I want a battery that fits into the original note 3 cover.
I am looking for safe bets - companies whose batteries are not risky nor untested by members.
Obviously there is the option of another stock Samsung original - but are there established/safe alternatives that will give me better 'juice' than stock, but still fit in the original cover?
My thanks to any that are willing to share their advice/opinions & contribute.

I just recently bought a anker for my note 3 they are trusted and a very respected company. Look for a anker on amazon for your note 3. Yes it will fit same exact size. I use to have neo hybrid. They give you a warranty as well.

Why did you choose the anker over stock?
On the anker website - there also have customer reviews of each product. Some of the note 3 battery reviews are quite poor?
I chose anker because my brother bought one for his note 4 I already knew of anker and needed a battery, he said it was great. Reviews are hit and miss take them with a grain of salt, I've bought a power add Apollo charger and love it works flawless yet on amazon where I bought it many reviews are negative. Also companies can and do hire people for good and bad reviews. The original battery is hard to find unless you directly contact Samsung they can be rather annoying with customer service with my run ins I've had with them over chargers. Most if not all Samsung OEM for note 3 on amazon are knock offs there fake. If I'm unhappy with the battery I can still return it, they gave me and everyone a warranty, they have good packaging and they only use grade A cells, from what I've experienced and my brother I believe they are great. I hope this helps if you need more info message me anytime.

Is it true that no oem batteries were produced after 2014?
The manufacture date is printed on the battery. One of the things pushingme away from oem is that they will be 2-3 years old, and kept in storage for a long time.

Now, I see that you want a battery that fits the original cover, but many folks here can recommend the ZeroLemon 10 000 mAh battery. I'm using one.
Advantages:
+ comes with a dual layer TPU case with hard plastic shell;
+ you can get 2 to 3 days of extremely heavy usage, 5, if you are moderate, and a whole week with light usage (once did 6 days with 38% battery left, got tired of trying to drain it all the way and charged it, screenshots attached).
Disadvantages:
- the thing becomes really ugly, thick and heavy, you better have big pockets and strong belts. Yes, that's the only disadvantage. Well, if you change SD or SIM cards frequently, that would be a disadvantage too.
After the first calibration charges and discharges of the battery, it takes some 6 hours to charge from 0 to 100%, but 6 hours of charging for 3 days of extreme usage - that's more than a fair deal for me.
I'm in two minds. Oem vs third party.
Problem with oems are, it seems that the last production run was 2014???

First of all I checked my original battery and there is no manufacturing date that I can see, the closest I can come to date is serial number, but no idea how to decode it. Did they put manufacturing date later on?
2. if you want/need original size don't expect big capacity improvements: same size will have similar capacity give or take tolerances and chemistry need to be similar due to charging/ voltage.
3. Especially in the phone which is charged almost daily, number of cycles is more important than age. I have Li ion batteries probably almost 10 yrs old that still work, more or less.
4. There was suspicion that some OEM batt sold around were used and therefore already partially worn out.
5. If you use NFC, make sure the new battery has NFC antenna, some don't and NFC won't work there.
I bought battery called Stalion for about $10, it has NFC antenna, it holds charge as well as new OEM and if it wears out faster than OEM ( so far all's good, 6 months and counting) I'll buy new one for $10, not worth worrying about.
But if Note 6 will be as good as the rumors suggest this is all non issue in 3 months anyway.

Can you give me some more info on no. 4. his is new to me.
When I was looking for OEM batteries on Amazon (some stuff is sold by Amazon partners, not Amazon directly BTW ) some people left comments that batt. they got lasted less than old one they just replaced, some commented that they see scratches, like they were used, some said they didn't get original packaging, another commented that advertising never said those were brand new etc. etc. while others had no problem . Actually if what you said is true about OEM ending production in 2014, all those negative comments begin to make sense. At the end all those negative comments turned me off, to the point I bought off brand (Stalion) and I'm pretty happy with it.
for example here http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Galaxy-Note-Standard-Battery/dp/B00F3583S8 22% gave 1 star, that's one in five.
I like Anker but little luck with this phone for some reason . One works and other doesn't. The Anker do have NFC. Problem with OEM is that most are fake. Have several of those and 2/3 didn't last a month.
As title says. Is it worth it? I'm hoping to at least getting 4-5 sot with real original battery from the lg itself.
Before this i bought a battery from a random merchant with good testimonies. But the battery i got cause the phone to turn off itself while still having about 30% percentage after few months.
So should i giving a hope to this phone or buy a new phone with gigantic battery capacity?
Original batteries that you may find have all been produced some years ago, I think that would be better to buy a recently made aftermarket battery, such as VHBW or Patona. Throwing away the last flagship phone designed with a replaceable battery because you don't want to change the battery is nonsense: with 30€ you can buy two or three batteries.

I suggest you do yourself/have somebody adapt the s7edge cell to the G5 circuitry. On r/LGG5 you should find all the info on this - other paths may be getting a third party G5 replacement, but be wary of inflated claims (3000 mAh is the most you can fit in the G5 OEM battery form factor.
