Hi,
I tried connecting disconnecting multiple times using my 1440P monitor but it seems Mate 20 pro desktop mode supports maximum 1080P resolution.
Is there any way we can set resolution for desktop mde?
Nope from my experience it only supports 1080p. It might also depend on the dongle we are using.

Is there a way to set the resolution of the HDMI? I am trying to connect to a 24 inch monitor and it's running at 1280x800 (native resolution I assume). Is there a way I can tell it to run at 1080p?
I tried mine thru my TV last night for the time. I could only get my tv to register it at 720p. I also am wondering if anybody else noticed a tiny delay from touchpad screen to tv. It's enough for me so that I can't play games properly. I thought I had read that people were playing games no problem though.... anybodies experience would be greatly appreciated.

Sure, play 1080p content. There's no magic upscale to 1080 for lower resolution content, including the OS.
That makes sense.
Is there a way to program an app to specify it has 1080p content? My goal is for me to be able to RDP (using iTap at the moment) into a server of mine and have that displayed with 1080p resolution.
Hello.
I would like know if nexus 10 can really use the high resolution mode with dedicated application ?
Or is it always upscaled ?
Example :
I connect my nexus 10 to my work PC ( it can render 2500x1600) with vnc, And have then Windows rendered
In 2500x1600 ?
Thanks

I use 2x client to connect w my home computer and the high res of nexus 10 is great as there are no downscaling by the desktop. Also a lot of apps are now starting to take advantage of the native high res display so it is good.

Yes you can, I connect to my office server at 2560x1504. This is the correct resolution not x1600 as you need to minus out top and bottom pixel.
It does render it at 2560*1600 on my U3011 screen when using TeamViewer, so it's using it alright.
Status/navbar takes up some space though unless you go into fullscreen.

Upscaled? Only videos and pictures are upscaled if they don't have a high resolution version (speciall websiteS). Everything else is rendered beautifully at HiDPI or rendered at its original dpi. (small fonts)
And most everything upscales very nicely.. What's funny is some of the most well funded apps are the absolute worst at up-scaling.
I'm looking at you Zuckerberg.. Get this Facebook apps crap together. It looks like I installed Compuserve on my tablet when I use your app.

Ok so love the s4. I have purchased the white media dock with 3 usb ports and Hdmi out. I have everything going but notice the screen resolution or dimesions dont fit right. I already checked my tv formats and nothing. So, anyone know a fix?
I have the same problem and not found a solution so far. I don't have a full-HD capable monitor or TV. On my 720P (think it is, I'm sure it's not full-HD) TV the picture is sharp but flickers all the time. When I connect it to my 20inch TFT I only get 640x480.
I'm pretty sure it's my hardware but I'm kind of disappointed that Samung does not offer any options to set the resolution manually not every TV or monitor allows to select the resolution manually. My last phone was a Motorola Razr and I could set the resolution and had about 5 or 6 different options to select from. I suppose there is no way to change this without root.
Maybe Samsung will change this in a future release. One of the reasons I bought the multimedia dock was to connect it to beamers or a lower resolution TV.
I wasn't sure if this was just a problem with my device, but I'm running my Nexus 9 on marshmallow and whenever I use the Chromecast to mirror to my TV, there are always borders left and right. This doesn't happen when I'm actually casting video or any apps only when I'm mirroring the Nexus 9 screen. Has anyone else experienced the same issue or can test on their device? Or does anyone know of a solution for this?

The bars are because the N9 has a 4:3 screen, and your TV has a 16:9 screen. Your don't get bars when you cast video because the video plays directly from the internet, not from your N9 screen.
I do recall reading somewhere here on these N9 forums that you can adjust how your screen gets mirrored, but I don't remember if that was just for miracast or also for Chromecast.
I think if you search for CC or MC screen mirroring, you'll find it.

Ah, I found it. It's called SecondScreen
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.farmerbb.secondscreen.free
The app requires root, but it works with Chromecast and Miracast.
It sets the resolution of your tablet to match that of your HDTV, so it will completely fill your TV screen. It also let's you adjust the DPI, so text and images don't look so big on your TV.

I just bought the official Smasung usbc-hdmi adapter for use with my Galaxy Note 8. I am looking for a way to set the output resolution since it goes to max by default and since my TV is 4k and i get 25 with this adapter (hdmi restriction via usb due to rights) i am looking to set the resolution to something lower. I would also appreciate a setting where picture is only shown through my TV and does not play on my mobile as well. Its distracting and a waste of energy as well
