Hi
I recently rooted my galaxy S4 using a guide from the internet. my s4 type is sph l720 and it has the kitkat update 4.4.2
i completed the rooting process and it was successful. the superuser app was installed, but no matter how many times I try to gain root access or privilege it does not allow me, and it says rooting access denied, for example i tried using game killer which was a huge disappointment, then i tried using GameCIH which was another disappointment. I tried many things and I looked everywhere but I did not find an answer. I do lack experience and i am not an expert in this, but I honestly tried a lot of stuff, I downloaded an app called root checker to confirm that I was rooted and the app confirmed it to me. I took two screen shots that my help with my issue
Same problem here..I tried flashing custom kernels also but nothing worked with game killer or game cih..plz help
Sent from my GT-I9500 using XDA Free mobile app
What guide suggests using Superuser over SuperSU? Heh
Well the two most popular ways to root the Sprint S4 is either CF Auto Root or via flashing the SuperSu zip from Chainfire via a custom recovery such as TWRP, Philz, or CWM.
I got Coolpad Torino S and was wondering if there's any way to get the root access. It's possibly named differently outside of Europe, model is Coolpad E561. Here's link to GSMArena http://www.gsmarena.com/coolpad_torino_s-7898.php
I have already tried KingRoot, but it was without any success.

Hi, i have the same coolpad and i´ve tried all Root tools but no success.
Maybe our smartphone is not public enough, no developers to get root / CWM or ROMs
We have to wait....
What Build did you have? I have updated yesterday to V30.

Yeah, I'm on the same V30 build, got the update a couple days ago. As you're the only other person I've ever seen to own this phone, I got to ask you - do you ever get issues with GPS? For me sometimes the GPS simply dies (can't see/find any satellites) and the only way to fix it is to force stop Play Store (found out by accident). Pretty sure it's a software issue, but not sure if it's only for me or for everyone.
any news about rooting coolpad torino s?
I did try various King Root versions, but none of them worked. Other one-click root apps seemed way too shady to install on the phone. Sadly I think there won't be any way to root this phone considering how unpopular it is.
I even contacted Coolpad EU customer service about root possibilities (I know some Chinese manufacturers allow root access), but after a quick response they completely stopped responding. Quite unprofessional from them, next time I will steer clear from Coolpad brand.

Just a quick update. Today I managed to get a root access with the latest Kingoroot app on a first try.
Initially I just wanted to remove bloatware like Zumei weather, Facebook, Touchpal and unroot because Kingoroot seemed quite shady, for some reason it connected to internet from time to time and phone seemed to work slower than it should.
BUT by sheer luck I managed to replace Kingo SuperUser with SuperSU. Basically what I did:
1. Root with Kingoroot and reboot;
2. Install SuperSU from Play store;
3. Remove Kingo SuperUser (it was installed when rooting with Kingoroot) and reboot;
4. Run SuperSU and update binaries -> normal;
5. It didn't work the first time, it was stuck on "Installing, please wait..." so I rebooted my phone and repeated 4th step;
6. This time it updated just fine, I removed Kingoroot, rebooted and had a root access.

Hi, thanks for this thread, but I do not work with the Kingroot, is it possible that some other program has come out, or do you know if there is anything else to root the Coolpad Torino S E561_EU?
Sorry for my English
Thanks in advance

Sorry, I've been away from XDA for some really long time. I used KingOroot not Kingroot. Also I forgot to mention, but you need to enable Developer Options and enable OEM unlocking there.
Though it's been some time since I last tried rooting, maybe Kingroot works now too.

From my own experience, the only 100% safe method to root is using TWRP and then flashing Magisk zip or a SuperSu zip. Any external Windows app, or apk, that claims to root most phones, will usually come with various kinds of spyware/malware, and I wouldn't suggest using them. Anyway, Framaroot is pretty old, and will most probably fail on this phone.
The last time I used such a solution on an android phone, I ended up reinstalling stock firmware, since the app had installed tons of spyware on the phone.
I have tried kingroot, Iroot and many other apps to root the device by connecting it to the pc with no use, anyone can help?

If the bootloader can't be unlocked your device won't be able to get rooted also king root... Iroot and kingo root usually work best when targeting lollipop and below however I know your using a android version higher then lollipop cause it didn't work

The programs says that it's possible to root the device...so can I do anything to unlock the bootloader?
And yes the Android Version is Oreo:crying:
You can boot even if the device verification says that the signatures doesn't match.
Because of this you can use mtkclient to "unlock the bootloader" but fastboot still wont work
