Can you turn off the Bluetooth on GTR? - Amazfit

Hi guys,
is possible to turn off the BT on GTR smartwatches? I mean turn off completely not just "night mode" or whatever it is called to not get notifications. I want to buy GTR, but I don't need to have synced my phone with GTR all the day, so BT on is useless for me. I can save a little bit of battery and probably healthier for me also without BT on. I think they added this function to Pace in some firmware update. I saw some with MTK2502 chipset too, but all of them are with poor battery life. Do you know other smartwatches where you can turn off BT?
Thank you.

There's a battery saver option that says it will only track steps & sleep if turned on. Not sure if it kills bluetooth.

Switch off the bluetooth on your phone will do and switched on only when you need to sync data from watch to phone.

night time battery killer

biggest battery hog, which do you guys think kills battery more having the wifi on and connected or having the bluetooth on and connected? trying to figure out best way to save battery througout the night but with keeping watch on for time since i do not have an alarm clock next to bed and dont feel like rolling over to look at the phone all the time. but like to have watch bluetooth connected to phone with swapps link incase an important call comes in while im sleeping.
If i had a sim in the watch at one point but am now using the bluetooth rom if i turn off the sim card since its not detected anyway would that help with the battery life issue?
Would love to setup a tasker profile to auto shut off either bluetooth or wifi just not sure which is killing more battery.
Thanks,
There's ap App called Llama, not sure if it'll work on the Omate.
Try it out it does all sorts of tasker type stuff.

Llama works fine on the TS
I use it to deactivate wifi when leaving home and set wifi policy to turn off shortly after screen is off.
However, leaving wifi on is not draining much, I have borrowed one it is on for many days when not used. Not sure about BT.
(Using Loki's tweaks.)
What drains the battery is using any radio or the GPS and of course the screen, so deactivating sync is helping.
Will be sure to disable the gps hopefully that helps turned off SIM card slot also. What's the difference between this llama app and tasker? Is it smaller or something? I use tasker on my watch and it runs awesome.
sent from my note 3 running beans.

New Bip drops Bluetooth connection at random

Bought new Amazfit Bip recently to replace Pebble. Great watch with amazing battery life, but the Bluetooth connection to my phone (Nexus 6P) drops randomly dozens of times a day even when within close range (less than 2m with direct line of sight). Anybody had similar problems with this watch? If so then it's a real design issue. No similar issues with Pebble - always good up to 5m+.
Try to install amazfit watch app on your phone again. It's an error of this app, sometimes, it'll make your watch battery drain quickly.
Make sure you allowed the app that runs on phone to stay running in the background, give it permission to access notifications and remove it from battery saving configurations. If you still have problem, some people related issues with WiFi/Bluetooth signal conflict, you may want to test with WiFi off, or better yet airplane mode and only BT on. If it still doesn't work, test with another Bip, yours may have a hardware issue (my first pace had no GPS signal, and both WiFi and BT were very weak, constant connection drops when using a BT headset, for instance).

Stratos - Schedule Bluetooth / Airplane mode

Hi All
So I've found Bluetooth is the biggest battery drain, turned on my watch lasts 2 days, turned off I get over a week. So I've found I'm normally running it in Plane mode, then manually having to switch it off to sync up each evening.
Could anybody suggest a means of turning this on and off automatically via a scheduler?
Thanks

There is Auto Airplane on/off scheduler in the watch settings.
For your convenience, you may also use PaceOn app to manually control your Bluetooth/Wifi with ease.
How did I not spot this!
Perfect, thank you..

Pace : is there any simple way to have a connection lost alert when phone is away ?

Hello
Try to avoid to loose my phone is there any "simple" way to have have a connection lost alert/notification vibration when phone is away ? I mean wo having a complexe apk doing a lot of things....or wo having to "root" the watch. This is for the only thing missing to the watch...
Regards
I have it on my Stratos. I don't know if the softwares is the same, but I can find it under settings -> Apps (weird place for that imo)

Thank you but this apps is only usefull when the phone is lost and you want it to ring. (and sometime you discover it many hours after)...my wish is to have a vibration alert/notification before you lost it. for example you forgot the phone when leaving a bar....the watch vibrate to notify the connection lost.
regards

I get 2 notifications: when the phone is too far away, and the actual disconnect. I think this is what you want, but you might not have the option on your watch. I would upload a picture of my settings, but I need at least 10 posts...
Hum....how come this is not the same in the pace????

Probably, the simplest workaround for Pace would be installing PaceOn on your watch. It's not that complex.
When its CXN svc. is on, it alerts you when your watch has a bluetooth/wifi connect/disconnect.
Hello I will try pace on.....I hope this app is stable.
Thank you
I have it by default
try installing this ROM:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/smartwatch/amazfit/paceficator-project-wos-2-6-0-12-rom-v0-t3794922
I've tried this rom in the previous version, I didn't find where this option is in the menu. Do you know where this option is ?
AmazMod has this feature, it works with Pace and Stratos (needs service APK installed on watch, of course). New version (unreleased) will also allow Pace user to enable the same alerts that Stratos have for disconnection and "too far away" (drop in BT signal).

Stratos 3 connection issues

Hello everybody!
I recently bought an Amazfit Stratos 3 to replace my amazing Stratos 2, since it's battery died after 2 years. And although my almost immediate regret (the 2 was pretty much indestructible, the 3 already has marks with just one week), there is a annoying connection issue: every so often it simply disconnects from my Poco F1! My phone is also not on stock ROM but it was only when it arrived, so I'm excluding that as an possible cause. I've had that issue on the latest stock ROM and also on the Paceficator ROM from Saratoga. It gets me mad since what is the use on a smartwatch that, randomly, disconnects from my phone? Any other Stratos 3 users with this issue? Or is just mine and should I get it to warranty? Just for reference, with the Stratos 2 it was almost shocking how far I could get from the phone without losing connection, let alone being near to it and with the Stratos 3 I find myself with my phone on my pocket and with the smartwatch disconnected!
Thank you all for your help!

I'm sorry, I'm not getting what you want to say.
Hello,
I notice almost the same. There is of course the option on the watch to get notified when it disconnects from the phone but I also see that "find phone feature" is not working good anymore. Sometimes, I'm in line on sight at 2-3m from the phone, and the "find phone" option is not successfull. Watch is saying "Not connected to App, unable to find phone". So definietly, the watch is loosing the connection with the phone/Zepp app.
To answer Winni21, Zepp is in "no restriction" in battery saving. Is this what you mean by "configure Zepp not to go to sleep"? It is true that if Zeep goes to sleep, "find phone" and bluetooth migh disconnect quickly. Please, clarify what you mean "not going to sleep" if possible

Hi! I've used both options on Zepp's battery options, with no sucess. But I do notice that if I turn on location with the GPS the connection is almost instant! But I'm not willing to have location on all the time...
I have started getting the same connection issues. I didn't have this problem before or at least I didn't notice. Enabling the anti-lost phone feature reveals the watch is constantly loosing connection.
In my case I noticed the problem via the notifications (started to come with a delay and very often repeated) Seems like when the watch looses connection (or when it reconnects) old notifications are displayed.
