so, my battery life was a bit bad on my mate 10 pro, so i replaced the battery with an official one from huawei, i checked the capacity and it's 4030MAH. so it's what it should be.
yet i seem to still have bad battery life. even under wifi, no apps in background, doing normal stuff like youtube/what's app/ google chrome.
i have bluetooth always on because i have a huwei smartwatch, however i don't think it's the problem, as in the battery usage bluetooth is super low
How did you check the battery? Maybe wait for a week or two. Try to install accubattery and share the stats after one or two weeks.

I have recently bought a new battery from amazon to replace my two year old battery which I was barely getting 2 hours of screen on time with, in general it was awful.
I would just like to gauge peoples opinions on whether they feel this battery is genuine or not or to see whether people have had any similar experiences with buying batteries on amazon. The amazon store seems to have a fairly good reputation. At first I thought it may have been an Akku Polarcell as it does say Akku on the battery packaging but I am skeptical.
I am currently testing it at the moment but it only seems to be slightly better than the original.
Further testing and research has bought me to install the following app. The app gives you the capacity of the battery on the main page - the battery appears to be 3000mah capacity which is the same as the oem battery.
Hi
As long as the battery is the original as the LG one. I had almost the same problem with my battery then bought the exact same battery and its been working fine so far.

Yes it appears that I am getting same battery life as the original battery, I can't seem to break 2.5 hours of screen on time and thats on a good day. Tried all sorts, think it might be time to jump ships and get a new phone.
Are you running on Android M or still on Lollipop and in that screen-on time what do you usually do, chats, videos, or games?
I bought a new battery too orginal. There is not different between thr ols battery. Why??

Latest Fulmics 5.2 with Xceed kenrel.
Literally limited to whatsapp and browsing internet, nothing to strenuous. Have a tasker profile running to turn off my phone cell when connecting to works wifi, as I get no signal. Have limited the worst of the wakelocks and alarms with Amplify and battery is a bit better but not in the realms of 3.5+ hours yet.

Maybe try to check under battery usage what's draining your battery. I got mine a week ago from one of these local shops, the exact same one as the original G3 and I get at least 8+ hours on a full charge for what you said you do. I suppose Amazone batteries aren't that reputable after all.
Hello everyone. My alpha has got serious battery drain 1 hour use and by use I mean WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook... And from 100% it goes to 70. So, is there a way to improve the battery life or is it because the phone sucks? I don't know if it's still a good phone in 2017.. Thanks anyway!!
WTH 30 % for one hour is pretty normal
Is it also normal that my phone turns off at 18% or sometimes 5%?
The battery for this phone is rubbish however it sounds like yours is faulty. I had the same symptoms after about 8 months with my stock alpha and replaced the battery with an unofficial from Amazon. Works fine now and has lasted much better than the Samsung official.
Samsung really screwed the pooch with this phone. CPU, screen and aluminium body (indestructible) are great but terrible battery and no software update is a real middle finger. It did not ship enough units so they think **** the people who actually bought it.
Absolutely right. Thanks a lot.
Try PolarCell made in Germany , 2000mAh , new technology . It's great for me . All the best .
I also replaced my battery already. One year of use.
The symptoms were the same, it turned off at 15% or sometimes 5%... It also charged itself faster, a sign that the cells were not in good condition anymore.
It seems that in addition to have little capacity Alpha battery also has a short durability.
I preferred an original battery (13€)... I should buy another just in case, soon they will disappear.
Well if you are rooted, you might try to reset the battery stats. This helped me a bit. But overall the 8 core and the AMOLED are sucking the small battery pretty hard ...
Since day 1 the charging capabilities are great for this device. I only used de oem wired charger that came in the box. But now an then it seems that the battery hold less charge than before.
I tried accubattery and antutu and the two apps give some information and the health of my battery is 83% after 6 months of use.
I came from an iphone 7 and after 2 years the battery health remains in 85%
So if the information that this apps ( i tried to see the battery life within android but apparently huawei disable this menu code) this means the life of the m20pro will be less than a year
That is very bad. I charge the device 1 time a day (sometimes 2) always from 20 to 80 % using allways wifi the screen brigthness and resolution to auto.
I think that the problem is related to the quickcharge. To many sites tells that this crush the battery life to fast.
Are anyone else seen the same thing??

Experimental Testing
I went ahead and experimented to buy out a battery from Flipkart. the battery seems almost legit. the only difference I can physically see is that the moto logo is removed from the battery I received. everything else seems legit. I have the battery up and running from the past 12 hours. I will post the results after 4-5 days. any app suggestions apart from Accubattery as to where I can test the battery?

hey there...hows the battery holding up?
My current batt which i changed at an official motorola centre a year ago is dying at 20% sometimes and sometimes goes all the way to 2%
how good is this battery you mentioned? how many hours SoT and on what rom?
thanks for the info.
Hey!
I am back with a fresh update on the statistics!
It's been almost half a month since i got the new battery and here's vmy review for the same:
The Battery i got legit looked like an original one when i got it and I gotta say, it is! It lasts pretty good with about 4-5hrs of SoT on a mixed use pattern (whatsapp, YouTube, offline movie playback, long camera sessions! And wifi at times with a network on standby)
The main aim of buying a new battery was to get the itchy problem of below 40% camera capture shut down fix, which was fixed by this battery. I can now click photos at below 40 without having to worry if my phone would shut down!?
An in-depth research helped me to find out that earlier batch of nexus 6 batteries were plagued by that issue and was later fixed in the new batches produced by lg chemicals.
I am also attaching some accubattery stats to assist you with! Nerdy signs follow!:highfive:
Hope this helped!
Does anyone facing battery Draining issue on Realme 7. I bought it from 10 days ago but my realme 7 battery drains fast as compare to other 5000mah phone i don't use this phone for gaming purpose still it hardly last 1 day . I want to know that its software issue or hardware problem because i also checked with Accubattery it shows battery health is 93% , I tried greenify donation version also inbuilt process manager that freez apps like facebook and set all foreground and background activity disabled but it doesn't help. My other phone Redmi Note 9 pro that i use for gaming it gives me full day gaming and movies like 10hrs. I know snapdragon 720g has better battery optimization but still without gaming on Realme 7 it should be last atleast 6hrs on screen activity battery stats also faulty when i fully discharge my phone and then fully charge it to 100% still battery stat is not reseting i also clear cache of battery but that doesn't helpfull . Please tell me anything i can do with battery draining issue
resetting your phone and os update may help. with medium to heavy gaming session, my realme 7 only got 4hrs screen on time, this G95 is power hungry, yeah its G90T overclocked no wonder some user will complaints after poor battery life. based on collective user data, snapdragon 720g or even 732G usually got better score on battery life than mediatek. between 70 to 85% longer usage
Thanks to lattest update most of the problems are solved
