IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Hi all,
This is an unofficial Pie build for the Galaxy Note 2 (t0lte) based on LineageOS 16.0.
Most of the ROM features are working, but the overall state might be not fully stable or not suitable for a daily use.
This work is heavily based on works of PoisonNinja, Option58 (thanks for device tree, kernel and device patches for LOS 14.1).
A full credit for Pie bringup goes to rINanDO (thanks for device tree, kernel and device patches for LOS 16.0).
What is working:
Boots
Audio (playback && recording)
Bluetooth
Graphics
Camera
Sensors
RIL (SMS, mobile data, calls)
Wifi
USB
Video playback (HW/SW)
What is not working:
GPS
Compass / Magnetic Sensor
SIM might be not detected / Data might be not available upon boot (reboot to fix).
LTE is not currently supported
Gapps installation can cause boot issues (?) - not tested
Supported variants:
fully tested on t0lteatt (SGH-I317, AT&T variant)
SGH-I317M
SGH-T889
Should also work for the following variants (not tested as of now):
GT-N7105/N7105T
SGH-T889V
SHV-E250S/E250K/E250L
SC-02E (SGH-N025)
Reporting bugs
When reporting reboots, please produce log below as follows
(using adb or terminal)
Code:
su
cat /proc/last_kmsg > /sdcard/last_kmsg.txt
and attach in this thread.
If reporting another issues
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
A rough timestamp of when the issue occurred is also useful.

I have the AT&T (i317/t0lteatt) version
i test this rom on my Samsung Note 2 SHV-e250k and it was good but sometimes buggy
You can activate the LTE option on *#*#4636#*#* but sometimes the "No Internet" appears
Pico is the best to install gapps because when you use other it was not working because of "System is full" message
sometimes the facebook, messenger and youtube crash and i encounter the Couldn't sign in on Google
again it's a good rom and need some several fix tho, it was good already just fix the Google Account issue, the partition of Sys on the memory and some app crashes.
Thanks for your work on this ROM ChronoMonochrome!
I tested out your ROM on my Verizon Galaxy Note II (t0ltevzw), another Note II LTE variant. I had to modify the updater-script to get this ROM to flash successfully on my device. Everything seems to be working (sound, wifi, BT), except for RIL. I seem to be seeing a dialog on launch saying that the SIM is voice only.
I'm guessing this is due to some specific differences with t0ltevzw compared to other t0lte devices.
Let me know if there's anything I can do to help with testing.

Hi,
this variant of N7105 seems to be unsupported even by the official LineageOS sources.
You can try extract file libsec-ril.so from the stock and try use it (put the file in /system/lib).
If that works, it should be easy to add support for this phone variant as well.

Thanks @ChronoMonochrome. I've added the libsec-ril.so from the latest t0ltevzw KK stock ROM.
After doing so, the SIM card dialog warnings have gone away and the phone number is now detected on the Verizon SIM card.
Still no radio signal (at least for Verizon), but probably related to another issue.

I didn't know it's a CDMA device. CDMA is not supported by the ROM, however the following can make it work.
Edit /system/build.prop as following:
Code:
rild.libpath=/system/lib/libsec-ril.so
(change rild.libpath=/system/lib/libsecril-shim.so to rild.libpath=/system/lib/libsec-ril.so)
This is very promising ROM even though the basic issue I can say it is constant need to restarting to use data and even the music app starting at any time to is also a problem. Apart from that, this is a dream come true

Thanks for the suggestion! Yep, the Verizon Galaxy Note II is CDMA. I tried making the build.prop settings and then added the Verizon APN, but still no signal found.
Not a big deal, since I'm just using it on Wi-Fi at the moment.
As for Gapps issues, I have the Gapps pico package installed. However, I noticed that if you install a certain Google app (not sure, could be Google, Google Assistant, Gmail, etc), it causes bootloops to occur. I've had to factory reset a few times. Trying to figure which Google app causes this to occur.

Hi thanks for this.
Did you change the updater script to get it to work? Because mine it justs stops trying to install and says this is for phones....etc
Also what bands (wcmda/LTe) did you select for the *#*#4636#*#* ? I tried this on my oreo 8.1 but this didnt find the IMEI or the sim
(Also it seems you tested this in the past...what new rom did you move on to?)
I've been investigating further into why this ROM starts bootlooping or experiences the display to blackout, particularly with t0ltevzw. One suspicious error seems to be with com.google.android.carriersetup:

These symptoms seems to start occurring if you install any of these `com.google.*` apps:
* Google Wellbeing
* Google Calendar
* Gmail
* Google Docs
* Google Slides
Finally got this to load on SHV-E250K but unfortunately internet doesnt work.
If Chronomonochrome can kindly fix that would be great.
Tried to reflash the old modem from 4.4.2 but that didnt help.
tried murata fix and flashed together still didnt work
Have gone back to:
lineage-14.1-20171208-nightly-t0ltekor-signed with wifi and internet working.
Maybe someone can take the wifi files from there and plug into lineage 16.0 that would be great

FAQ
How do I enable/disable Dual SIM?
Dual SIM support is enabled by default. If you only use 1 SIM and wants to disable Dual SIM support, you can use the following instruction:
Enable:
Code:
su
setprop persist.radio.multisim.config dsds
Disable:
Code:
su
setprop persist.radio.multisim.config none
(Instruction screenshots)
Can you include Feature X into your ROM?
No. This ROM will have CyanogenMod's feature set.
Can you include S-Note/S-Planner/MultiWindow/Insert Samsung App Here?
No. This is an AOSP ROM and cannot have TouchWiz applications.
Can you include call recording?
No. CyanogenMod does not include call recording to avoid potential legal issues.
Can you add Feature X to the stock ROM?
No. I don't work on stock ROMs.
What kernel does this ROM use?
A slightly modified version of the stock kernel, the source code is linked above.
I've heard that Broadcom doesn't release source, how can you make this ROM?
Contrary to the popular belief, userspace driver source code is not always required to make an AOSP-based ROM as long as the proprietary binaries shipped with the device does not modify the API too heavily (or is from a very different version of Android). Instead of modifying the source code of the drivers, the Android source code was adapted to be able to use the proprietary binaries.
Can I use your ROM as a base?
http://source.android.com/source/licenses.html
Most of Android/CyanogenMod is licensed under the Apache License with other small parts licensed under other open-source licenses. Which means that you may modify and redistribute without asking for permission as long as the proper credits is given and it is not misappropriated as being the official CyanogenMod. (In other words, you must say that it is based on pawitp's unofficial CyanogenMod, but is not related to CyanogenMod in any other way.)
Will you make this official CM?
Due to the amount of work and commitment involved, I am not planning to make an official CM port.
Can contacts be saved to phone/SIM?
No. It is not supported in AOSP-based ROMs.
Can I send files over Wi-Fi Direct?
Yes, but you must use third-party applications. The implementation provided on Samsung ROMs is not an open standard. AOSP/CM does not provide a native way to send files over Wi-Fi Direct.
Can I mirror your ROM?
You're free to, but I will not list it in this post.
Will feature X from a previous version of CM be implemented?
I don't know, probably will be, eventually. I don't really involve myself in the feature-set side of CM.
Will you add OTA support?
No.
I cannot add APNs
Make sure you set the correct MCC/MNC code, the APN will not appear otherwise. Also make sure to use menu -> save (back button means discard).
Reporting Bugs
You are allowed to report bugs only in this thread.
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. The following is a useful format to follow.

Great alpha releäse
This is a very good alpha release. You need to clean-install though even if you had CM11. So wipe data/factory reset. Then flash the rom, gapps for CM12 and superSU. After set up reboot and let phone settle for 5 minutes before use. I find it is a lot more stable afterwards. Launcher 3 is sometimes buggy so try an alternative. Phone freezes occasionally especially with some apps but short press power button usually sorts it out.
I do miss the Trebuchet launcher which is a lot more customizable.
Over all it is a great alpha build. Thanks to the OP for giving my device a new lease of life!!. Development had stalled until you came along. I never imagined we will be playing around with Lollipop so soon on the dual-sim mega!:

Installed, but randomly reboots or FC all running apps. Unfortunately still no Android Pay either
When trying to enable USB debugging, phone restarts.
You did wipe data/system/cache? Should be installed on clean device.
Android Pay not supported by our asus nfc in 5.x. Our chip not NCI.

Yes,, I wiped, installed CM13 and Gapps, wiped again. I even tried wiping again when apps started crashing.
More and more apps started closing throughout the day.
I have a padfone X converted to S which supports NFC, but I understand that the firmware was ported for the S, therefore no Android Pay, I was just being hopeful.

Oh, and just providing feedback from my experience with it so far. Great job with getting it this far!
Thanks
Pasting what i posted on 12.1 forum.
The call still does not work, also, the time is screwed up. You can see the screenshots.
Adjusting the time zone and things doesnt help. @Quarx
Now on tap isnt working.
Also, performance seems to be slower for now. 4k video recording with the google camera app was 24.15 fps, but on lollipop, it was 28.9 to 29.6 fps.
Hangouts call is working, but hangouts dialer doesnt work. @Quarx that is it for now.
@Quarx
How do you resolved this error?
Code:
make: *** Нет правила для сборки цели «/home/ice552/cm13/out/target/product/bacon/obj/SHARED_LIBRARIES/libqmi_cci_intermediates/export_includes», требуемой для «/home/ice552/cm13/out/target/product/bacon/obj/EXECUTABLES/wpa_supplicant_intermediates/import_includes». Останов.
This is awesome
Cheers
WOW I dont own this device, but am I right, this is the first device that got (unofficial ) CM13?

Huge improvement. Thank you! 24.14 fps on 4k video so not much improvement in performance, but Now On Tap works now, saving pictures work, also phone call works now! Thanks @Quarx .
I get google play services error when trying to setup on first boot after multiple wipes, reinstalls of both CM and GAPPS with a couple different versions of GAPPS found online and can't get past the setup without popping sim out and skipping everything. Afterwords I am unable to start google apps or even open file explorer.

MoKee OpenSource is based on the Google AOSP. We update our source code frequently to keep up with the latest development, and not forgetting to merge in special features of our own at the same time.

@dianlujitao,wait for the honor 4x (che1-cl1) version.
Hello, I've been using my G620s with MK60.1 as a daily device, and except some minor bugs and bigger battery drain it has proven stable enough for me. Only bigger encounter I had was with nightly updates- my recovery is unable to find directory in which they are downloaded. It may have something to do with sd mount- I've set it as an internal memory card. Also I must mention that Its so convienient, with my 16 GB card I could finally install all needed apps without worrying about disk space and updates. No problems with facebook or any other app, except for snapchat- sometimes some blue flicker on screen happens.
Thanks for this great ROM, hope it will get popularity it deserves.

Fine rom i must notice also, gona try it to few days and report bugs. Noticed one reboot after changing data modes - gsm / wcda ...
Well this ROM is excelent and battery life is great and Maybe better then MIUI 7 roms realy good rom maybe I am not advanced smartphone user but for me this is end of the line in roms for G620s. Would only try some new from Mokee and nigthlies are coming in so often waves
Hmmm Now i See space of internal memory and it is 4 GB only ? It is supose to have 8 GB ?? In " Storage and usb " 3.24 GB total used of 4.07 ??
@dianlujitao, updating with ota (incremental updates) is giving me error 7... assert failed (run_program ( "/ tmp / device_check.sh") == 0); could you tell me why this happens? thank!

@dianlujitao!! thank you very much for solving the failure of OTA
@dianlujitao
with nightly 03052016 does not detect the sim card !!
great ROM
@dianlujitao
Thank you for your support
I'm using the ROM for daily use
Very smooth n light
I have found 2 issues/improvement
Please consider and implement it
These 2issues are compelling me to flash stock ROM back
1)I use smart cover its easy on the go but this ROM doesn't have that feature
Simple clock and date with miss call and messages count will do
2) I know che1-l04 doesn't have gyroscope but it had virtual gyroscope in stock ROM
VR cardboard used to work in stock but not in custom ROM
@dianlujitao
I have nightly 30042016 working well, but try to update the following nightlies (ota 03-04-06 / 052016) did not detect the baseband, not detect sim,not detect imei....which may be the reason? I'll have to redo clean installation? thank you very much !!

I have a problem with the rom, not sure what to do. I have Messenger (the Facebook app) installed. When I'm listening to music and i get a message on messenger, there is no notification sound, only vibration. Every other app's notification sound gets through. I tried it with different music apps, i got the same results every time.
I'm guessing there is a setting I'm not aware of. I googled the problem with no luck. Please help.

I already did that but it didn't work. I gave more thought to the problem and started experimenting a bit. I realized that even on maximum volume the notification sound is just too silent for Messenger with or without headphones. It has it's own notification sound volume somehow, and it is that silent that I can't hear it over the music.

Then it is problem of the app, because the sound notification of the ROM is very good.
with the release of the 250516 they are still closing apps and restarting the device.

davidmueller13, please don't get me wrong: I do appreciate your work; in fact, I'm on one of your 5.1.1 ROMs. But I'd much rather have a fully working/stable Marshmallow, than an experimental/developmental Nougat on my P-605...
That's just silly.
7.1 should be better for this tablet because of the pen and no bloat.
Been waiting to try for a while. But I use the tablet for work. Working on getting another beater so I can flash this.
Thank you for continuing progress.

Silly, you say? Nougat has way more Google integration going on. Some of us don't like the direction Google is taking with android development...
The pen works just fine on any ROM, so I'm not sure what you mean...
And the bloat, well that's up to the dev to remove; or you can do it yourself later if rooted.
Hi folks
Awesome build - installed it in few minutes along with twrp and Gapps. Everything seems to work fine...
Except:
- could someone tell me how to update modem? My sim card is not recognized. (Not from issue though)
- is there a way to completely turn of buttons backlight? I do not really need light there.
Thank you very much!
EDIT: I found an instruction and will flash stock 5.1.1 and than will repeat the 7.1 flash.
Also magnetic cover works for me - locks/turns screen off and on. Coming from 4.4.2 - that's why sim card is not detected... Working on it.
Thanks,
EDIT2: I flashed with odin stock 5.1.1 (P605XXU1EOI5_P605BTUEOJ1_P605XXU1EOI5_HOME) and than rooted and flashed twrp 3.0.2.0.
Than I repeated all steps and flashed 7.1 + gapps + SU.
... SIM Card is NOT detected again... Which baseband and modem do I need? Can someone post a link for exact parts?
Thanks,

My bootloader is P605XXU1EPD2 and baseband version P605XXU1EOI5. Try installing Samsung Phone Info from Google Play and check your baseband version. I had to flash to firmware twice to get the new baseband version.
Edit. This is the site I downloaded the firmware:
http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=SM-P605
I think I downloaded the newest but I'm not certain. Probably all 5.1.1 versions should work.
Good morning
Thanks for all the efforts to let be our device P605 an up to date tool!!!
I'm not sure if already stated precisely in some other post ( in such a case my apologies to ask again) but I would ask to the Developer and even to the Users if this extremely interesting upgrade will let be possible the use of S-pen with the std samsung app "S Note" and if files ( using this device for my work notes I have hundreds of documents to maintain..) generated up to now ( I'm still on 5.1.1) with S Note app could be recovered
Thanks again !!!!

Back in the days when I had my Note 3 the correct way to flash new bootloader/baseband was to take off the battery and wait some time, then plug in the battery and immediately to boot to odin mode. Otherwise the new modem would not stick and especially if the new firmware was for a different country code than the original. The other way round was to flash twice. Probably the best way with P605 is to turn of the device, wait a minute and then boot immediately to odin mode.

HUGE THANKS!
It worked - flashed twice latest 5.1.1. from sammobile and now I have the same boot and base as yours.
Now 4G works great on aosp 7.1. Also had to restart couple of times.
We own 3 years old tablet with the latest firmware - AWESOME! :good:
Still on 6.0.1 on my S7 Edge though... :silly:
Now I only need to find a way to disable the button back-light - it is really annoying...
I use it mostly for games and youtube kids movies for my little son. For book reading also bad, as it will light up on every page change.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for Lineage OS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to Lineage OS, please visit our Gerrit Code Review. Your changelog is whatever was merged into gerrit.

hi! i like the ROM very much. i am user of sprint m9 and i was wondering about a couple of questions.
1. what's the difference between the international version of m9 and sprint version?
2. is this port able to enter the official release of Lineage OS and you guys become the maintainer?
thank you very much!

No I can't measure it but it is charging at the same speed as stock. I'll check if my portable charger detects quick charge.

Stuck On Checking For Updates
Good morning, I have noticed each time I try to install this ROM, it hangs on the "Checking for updates" step during the initial start up of the ROM. The only way around it is to power the phone off, then when I power it back up it goes bacxk through the initial set up process again, and again hangs on this step.
Any ideas how to get around this or to even bypass that step entirely?
My method to getting V4A working on this Rom
I Used ( lineage-14.1-20170624-UNOFFICIAL-himawhl )
which actually installed way faster, booted up even faster then Bad Boyz.
And sounded great.
The Process===
What I ended up doing was do a Wipe, then Flashed the Rom and then afterwards I flashed
SuperSU 2.78 ( but I think it will work with the ( Super Su 2.82SR5 ),
So after that was done I flashed ( V4a+2.5.0.5 )
After testing
LTE Data works, idk about calls or texts or even, I didn't get to test it that far just yet.
i have tested the camera some cool features but its not the 60FPS im lookin forward to still,
and teven then its so much smooth than the s6 and Note 4 on deodexed roms and even then
before i tired out liquid smooth.
So what I'm thinking now is whenever i Can i will try to..
Flash same rom again, and then Flash SuperSu 82SR5 Upgrade, and then Flash V4A, reboot, Profit??
go back into TWRP or REcovery and FLash g Apps....profit??
For me it's a bit of ways to get into recoverys,
because for my method i went into recovery by using, ADB reboot Recovery
since my volume dowbn button works on and off, so Adb Debuggin in Developer options.
I'd prob look for an app to have those extra power option menus and then probably, a more 60fps camera apps.
Or Idk if you have any suggestions i will try it out definietly.
Wow.... ROM works great for me. So far everything works smooth. I'm just facing 2 minor issues:
1. Bad notification sounds. Sound really distorted unless notification volume reduced to 60%. YouTube etc sound perfect at full volume so nothing wrong with the speakers.
2. Weather and Time Widget doesn't pick up any weather services (installed Yahoo, AccuWeather etc., to no avail)
Anyone else experienced this... or any ideas ?
Can't root

Hey guys, need help here. I'm unable to root the ROM. Downloaded files to flash SU "addonsu-14.1-arm64-signed.zip" from here: https://download.lineageos.org/extras
and flashed it, to no avail. Then tried removing it by flashing "addonsu-remove-14.1-arm64-signed.zip", rebooting, and flashing again. No luck.
Also, tried installing V4A hoping that it would solve the bad sound quality on notifications etc.... but need root for that to work, so am kind of stuck.
Any tips?
Hey. How to make DotViev work in this firmware?
Looks like the mirrors are no more for this - any other copies available? Would someone be able to share?
120719 - mirrors returned now!
