I'm having an odd issue that's been causing my Android TV box to become unresponsive (interface gets sluggish and then remote inputs are repeated 2-30 times, so generally need to do a hard reboot). I suspect it has something to do with my IPTV box, and possibly it's standby screen (it outputs an idiot signal even when off telling you the box is in standby). If I don't switch to the IPTV box, it's generally rock solid, but after going back and forth (seems random - can be 1 switch or 10) it eventually locks up.
It started when I upgraded to the new 4K IPTV box, which also required changing my receiver (damn HDCP). I'm thinking it's not the receiver as I've seen it happen at least once on my secondary TV in the basement(used infrequently, so I'm not 100% sure), which has a similar IPTV box (just lacking the PVR function), but both devices are directly connected to the TV inputs.
Anyone have any ideas? Both my boxes appear to be no longer supported, so a software fix is probably a pipedream, but I can't just buy a new box as they all seem to be AMLogic based.
Setup:
Samsung 55" 4K 6300 series
Yamaha RX-385 Reciever (Switches HDMI imputs, and plays sound via ARC)
Mi Box 3 and Jetstream AGT-418
Arris VIP-5662W (Telus TV Mediaroom)

I'm new to Android TV boxes i recently bought a MXQ S85 But it keeps turning my TV off when watching it. It's as if the TV has crashed, normally when the TV is switched off there will be a little led which tells you it in standby this doesn't come on. The only way to get the TV back on is turn turn the Android box off. I can't change sources turn the volume up or change the channel. I've tired loads of different things but nothing seems to work.
What I've tried.
3 x HDMI Leads
4 x HDMI Ports
2 x MXQ S85 boxes
removing batteries from MXQ S85 remote control
Disable HDMI CEC
AV cable which come with MXQ S85
Changing the resolution and the refresh rates
I have tried a different TV and the MXQ S85 works fine with no problems. Has anyone got any ideas of what it might be?
In the past ive always watched my Sony TV using my (Vu Duo/Vix) Satellite Box and when ive turned off the satellite box its switched off the TV (setting in HDMI CEC setup).
Since I plugged in my new MXQ Android Box this no longer happens, I have to switch off the TV & Satellite boxes separately.
It doesnt seem to matter which Sony TV HDMI port my MXQ is plugged into, as long as its plugged in my Satellite Box has lost control of this function. (Nb. my MXQ is not powered up).
I also have a NOW TV box and this doesnt interfere in the way the MXQ does. This is all very strange to me.
Anyone else have this experience and can tell me how to deal with it?
Can no-one help me here? Is there somewhere else I would be better off posting this question?
switchable HDMI splitter box? maybe?

Hi guys, i've just bought a new Huawei honor i7 but wifi direct / screen mirroring doesn't work. The tv is a sony bravia, and my other huawei p7 connects to the tv without any issues, all my other devices and those of my friends and family also connect to the tv with 1 only tap.
I've reset the tv, still the same problem.
I've updated the huawei honor, still the same problem.
This is definitely a huawei issue, but i don't know how to solve this one.
The phone doesn't connect through "multi display" sometimes it does say connect on the device while the tv jumps back to the wifi direct screen, and the phone loses the supposed connection (because it never was really connected in the first place)
I've paired the phone through the manual wifi direct settings on the tv, but nothing.
I've tried all the possible solutions i could think of and find, is there any way to fix the phone?
I bet a screen mirroring patch such as that for samsung will fix this issue. But obviously that patch isn't applicable on huawei.
Anyone?

Anyone knows why I get no TV channels? I only have cable TV, so I used the T2 connector. I tried auto scan with different countries (I live in Austria, but no Austria in the list) and manual scan where I wrote a few channel frequencies on their corresponding transponders. I tested signal with cable connected and with the cable disconnected and I saw movement of the signal bar from 99% to lower than 40%, so there is signal. But no channels. There is no dedicated forum for this device. Any advice?
There are two different BVB-T standards for the channel spacing and "decoding", check if you can select a different profile or region.
If in doubt check what standard is used in Austria and select a corresponding one from the list, Germany should be on the same standard if I recall correctly.
And although it might sound stupid but if you have a wireless housephone then turn the mobiles and base station off while doing a channel search.
I had the problem several times and only once the phone was really dead the BVB-T receiver was able to connect to stations.
Hi,
I have xiaomi tv box, but when I play any video from any app like youtube, netflix, audio is faster then video. Sometimes delay is 0.5 seconds, and sometimes 1-2 seconds
Is there any solution? And does everyone has this problem or just some versions?
Do you have an a/v receiver in the middle between mibox and tv?

No I don't have any. I have only wifi router that is connected with tv box. I also tested on different TV on multiple houses, but same issue.
If you type on google xiaomi tv box out of sync, or xiaomi tv box sound out of sync, you will find many reports.
It's strange when I contact xiaomi support from us, they said they never heard about this issue, even if it's very common when you search on google :/
solution that works

I just found the solution, just follow the steps in below link!

In my case, that solution probably helped to reduce the frequency of the problem, but the problem still persists.
In my case The mi box 3 is connected via HDMI to my Samsung sound bar, and it is connect via HDMI to my Samsung TV.
It seems, that the order of powering up the tree devices, can impact the sound delay...
What i do most of the time is press and hold the power button of mi box and restart the device. It usually solves the problem, but no always.
