Hello there,
I own a mibox mdz-16-ab and want to use it for streaming my games from my PC with steam link.
I bought a Xbox one s controller (Bluetooth) but unfortunately it doesn't work with all buttons.
Is it possible to include a "kl" file in the next update?
With this file
https://android.googlesource.com/pl...se/data/keyboards/Vendor_045e_Product_02fd.kl
The controller will work. But only the manufacturer or someone with root access can do it.
With my Xiaomi Mi9SE it works. I suppose this file is present in the Mi9 firmware.
It would be great to be able to use this controller.
Maybe there could be a beta, it is really a small change only.
Or could there be a system app developed by Xiaomi?
Thanks
You need to purchase mdz-22-ab. MiBox S.
Controller reported to work with latest build of Pie.
It's there a beta android 9 for my box?

Which game controller do you recommend? I'm mainly looking to use it on my tab for emulators and whatever android games are compatible with a controller.
I was looking at a sixaxis just because it looks like it can connect wirelessly with the app but I'd be willing to buy a USB connector and flash a kernel to make a controller compatible. Also I don't know if the dual shock 3 controller works with the sixaxis app. (I'm not sure if that's an entirely different thing)
I guess I'm mainly wondering which controller is most compatible, meaning full joy stick control and things like that.
Thanks if you can help me out!
I'm currently using my PS3 controller with the new Sixaxis App from the store. All you need is Root access and to pair your PS3 controller with a PC to tell it what your tablets Bluetooth MAC address is and it should work. I've been using it ever since with all my emulators and it works like it's supposed to.
There is also an app from the same dev to test if the controller works with your device but if its a GT 10.1 and a regular PS3 controller there shouldn't be an issue.
Does anyone have any other suggestions?
If not I'm probably going to grab a sixaxis but I want to be sure I'm getting the best since I'm not tied down to a controller for a console I already own.
Thanks
There is already another Q & A thread started by me from a while ago where some people listed a few alternatives. Just search the Q & A forum or check the first few pages and you will find the thread. Since I already own a PS3 and the other controllers aren't that available in my country it was an easy choice for me. Hope that helps.
Hi, I would ask this question dirrectly in thor gapps thread, but this is my 1st post.
The q is, if I will install latest Thor Gapps from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2585690 , will i be able to install ps3 controller apps from gmarket( like Sixaxis Controller ), and will ps3 controller work on my kf hdx7" ?

most android apps can work in the HDX with the Fireos, eventhough the Gapps isn't in it , You can use ESexplorer do the googleplay's job. So I guess you can use the Sixaxia Controller app.
I know, this is how i launched psp emulator and others. But sixaxis app is strictly binded to google play. Maybe someone has an experience whitch particular controller works with hdx?

I've tried Sixaxis on the gapps rom... Unfortunately, I was unable to pair my PS3 Dualshock controller.
According to an Amazon post, Bluetooth gamepads are not supported on the HDX (unless they have a keyboard mode):
The problem with both of those is that even with Android 4.0.x the Fire OS still has host mode disabled on the USB port and only implements part of the HID protocol in the Bluetooth stack. Unless it looks like a Bluetooth keyboard the Fire is not going to talk to it.
Well, is there any controller, that will suite this requirment? Or is it hard to develop some kind of bridge between some abstrack bluetooth keyboard and real controller? I' am little experienced with .Net development, but never tried anything mobile. I' ll make little research about this.
Hi friends, I have a problem with the sixaxis controller application.
Since I changed my smartphone (xiaomi mi 8 with miui 10) the application no longer works. the application is not compatible with the miui I think.
can anyone tell me if there is an alternative application to connect the controller of the playstation 3 to the smartphone via bluetooth?
If this is not possible, can you tell me which controller to buy compatible with android and which application to play wireless?
Hey Internet,
I hope you can help me with my problem. So I just got my F1 and am really happy with it but unfortunately my Xbox 360 controllers dont work on MIUI 10 natively which means that they dont work on Minecraft Pocket Edition for example.
I tried both wired Xbox 360 Controllers and a wireless one but it seems that MIUI has no native support for either of these.
I found the app USB/BT Joystick Center which remaps the controller input to keyboard presses but IMO this is not a good way to play because it adds further lag, the possibility to use a keyboard when mapping is active and also the thumb sticks become digital instead of staying analog because they get mapped to a keyboard key.
So has anyone got these controllers working? I really would love to play GTA Vice City and emulators on my phone.
Do these controllers maybe work on Lineage OS or Pixel Experience? Is there a way to find out?
I read at another thread that this is maybe related to the kernel? Can you install another kernel and get it running?
Anyways lots of questions and I hope you could point me in the right direction.
I also found a thread (cant post link because Im a new user) where someone is talking about steps to getting the controllers work on Mi Pad 4 but I dont know whether this could work on the pocophone as well.
You can try this module from magisk
1controller doesn't work on miui10 devices.
Known Issues:
High delay when Dualshock 4 with Bluetooth (Seems to be a problem with the controller itself).
Doesn't work on MIUI 10 devices.

A custom kernel should be able to support it if the stock MIUI does not.. if anyone on Lineage OS or other stock like ROMs could try it out perhaps it'll work? Or might work on MIUI with a custom kernel.. tried with Franco though and it still didn't work.

I tried extreme kernel, still no luck, perhaps someone on non-miui ROMs can try?
Any news?
In usb-bt center, can you use native Mode?

First of all, Kernel is very important. I success eu stable 10.3.6 + magisk 19.3
Arter97 kernel is very good, but it is not allow selinux permissive
1. First → en.miui.com/thread-3632888-1-1.html
2. Magisk module - 1 controller, adb & fastboot for android NDK → Reboot
3. Install Terminal emulator(any) in google store
4. In terminal emulator type this : for selinux permissive
su
setenforce 0
exit
5. Install usb/bt joystick center 2019 : $4.63 ㅠㅠ
6. Connect xbox 360 joystick → search → on IME → torch 3 times (JOY : IME → 360)
7. xbox 360 key Remap and save
8. start game (i try asphalt 9) → input setting joystick → if not work
swich usb/bt joystick app (load key save) ↔ asphalt 9 )
Sorry my English is not very good

Sphinx kernel has support for xbox controllers now... no further fiddling nor any modules needed
grtz
you should make a video, today is the miui 11
So I have an original Elite controller that I am attempting to use with the Moto G8 Power. I want make it my dedicated emulation device. With that said, I am having a hard time getting the Xbox One controller working over OTG. The OG elite does not have Bluetooth support.
My PS3 controller works but it's not in the best shape.
I was wondering if there was a way to add support for the controller, especially because it works when opening the Steam Link app. I want to be able to use it with other apps.
Are you using magisk? There is a module called 1controller that should allow it to function. Not sure if you will be able to get it working out of the box, or it may not be compatible with all games.
I was hoping I wouldn't have to root but I'll give it a shot
@TaZeR369 Thanks for the help. Unfortunatly it's only a mapping module it doesn't appear it's helped with detecting the controller.
Edit: I also found that The controller is detected via USB/BT Joystick Center but the the keys won't register and the light doesn't come one.
