Hi,
I don't know what happened, but right now my tablet is stuck on what I call the pre-load screen (the one that displays the amazon arrow, the word fire, and the three dot's that indicate the system is loading the o.s. ). I've tried everything I know to try, this morning I installed this program on my windows 10 pro 64-bit computer
: https://developer.android.com/studio , my tablet has the following installed on it fire o.s. 6.3.1.4 . I've also installed the sdk file's for android 6 & 7, I've never used the studion software before. My goal is to not have to perform a factory reset because I've got my tablet setup the way I want it. Has anyone else had this issue, and if so how did you correct it ?
Thanks,
David
Update:
I ended up performing a factory reset on my tablet. I'm rather surprised that nobody replied to my post.
Thread closed as OP figured his issue out on his own.

Hello all! Today I have been having a tough day with technology SMH! But anyways I have been looking at every single post on this website and looked on Google about my problem and I can not fix it AT ALL! I'm really new to this hacking rooting stuff. I just bought a kindle fire just last week and I decided to put android 4.0 just last week and I had no problem with doing that what so ever. It was very simple and easy. But for some really I went back to the stock OS and deleted the android 4.0 files off my Fire. But today, I wanted to do it again but this time from a different website. The file was called MIUI.us_blaze_4.0.3-2.2.3-alpha_0xD34D FYI. I thought these files all do the same thing and stuff. Like I said, I am new to this. Never used an android device a day in my life. (Team IOS lol) Back to my problem. So I did the regular on TWRP. I Backed up my data, cleared the Factory Setting, then I went to flash the Zip file I had. After it was done installing or whatever, this is when everything happened. I rebooted my kindle like always, But this time the yellow triangle was on the screen for about 10 min. So I held the power button for 20 and maybe thought it just needed to reboot again. Well, I sat and waited for about 5 min once again and nothing happened at all. I tried to connect my Kindle to my Laptop but it makes the donkdonk noise once like it connected. But then it makes the same noise again but it disconnects. Also, with the KFU (Kindle Fire Utility) it says device is not connected or whatever it says. So, I have been reading online that I need to go into Device manager and do some stuff. But when I go into Device Manager. I see my Kindle for 5 secs when I first plug it into my pc but then it disconnects. I can not believe that I did this. So can anyone please help me out before I do something else stupid to it,it would mean a lot to me! I will take ANY advise right about now! Thank you!
I did the same thing
The file you downloaded was bad i downloaded the same file , I fixed it by running KF utility and reinstalling TWRP , when it tells you to plug in or device not found turn off device plug in usb and push power until turns orange or green forget which one after that it will recognize the device , this worked for me i hope i helped you
Hi guys !
About myself, I'm a web developer and i have a little bit strange with android development
Few week ago,i buy a kindle fire HDX 8.9 inch and i root it,but something wrong ,i had delete some files relate to system and after,my kindle show GREY KINDLE FIRE LOGO all time, allthough i turn off and turn on many time ,it's alway is GREY LOGOO !
There is exist some way to restore stock rom ? i don't know, can you give me a answer or reference ,or something to i can fix my f*cking kindle fire, thank
if you see only grey logo - there is no way
if you can get to safestrap, you can dirty-flash the Amazon stock ROM on top of your setup.
If you can't even get there, then probably not, as this would involve some Fastboot cable, RSD Lite, and so on.
Supposedly if you held down power for like 25 seconds straight it'll do some fancy factory reset, but no guarantees!
Hi.
I'm still very new to rooting/Android installation. A friend gave me a Tmax TM9S77 9" tablet, that's permanently stuck on the "Go" splash screen. I've tried wiping the cache, and factory reset sits on "Formatting ..." until the battery dies.
I'm thinking that reinstalling the OS might get it working, but I've no clue how to go about doing that. I've searched Google. but only come up with Windows solutions. I'm running Linux Mint, and if I say so in my search I get pages about installing Linux on an Android tablet, but nothing that tells me which tools to use to reinstall Android and how to do it, or where I can download a ROM for this particular device.
Can someone here point me in the right direction please?
Hey folks
I'll start out and say that I'm a noob at this stuff.
My wife handed me down her Nextbook Ares 8 (nxa8qc116) Android 5.0 she said she wiped it. I think she did more than that. It only gets to the logo screen and no further.
I can get to the bootloader and twrp (2.8.6.0).
It seems it's missing data folder as I get a message when I attempt to do anything. I did a factory reset which didn't fly at all a whole load of error messages.
I only have a Win 7 machine and have no clue as to how to root it or install a working rom. Nextbooks website is pretty much worthless no downloads for it other than docs. The other downloads are for newer tablets..
I've been beating myself up all day trying to figure this thing out but to no avail.
Any help would be appreciated!
Brad

I was given a next book Ares 8, model # nxa8qc116r, and have the same problem. When connected to a PC the driver can't install because ' the device has a malfunction ' so the tablet isn't recognized. Therefore I can't even attempt to install new os or anything else. Someone please help.
Hello,
I have a Kindle Fire HD 7 tablet (4th generation, 2014). I had been previously having issues with video on the tablet which customer support was unable to help me with. While I was trying to find a solution, I saw in my Amazon account that I could update my software. I chose to do this hoping that perhaps my out-of-date software was what might be causing my video issues.
On the bright side, my video works great now. The downside is that I do not like the new software at all. I've since learned that I previously had OS 4.5.5.3. I loved its ease of use and the carousel. Now I have OS 5.6.1.0 and just really want my good old tablet back to how it was. I spoke to customer support and was told that only OS 5.3.1 and earlier could return to Fire OS 4, so there was nothing they could do.
I've seen a lot of tutorials on downgrading your software or restoring your tablet to its original firmware. I think I could handle following the tutorials, but I've also read posts that say 5.6.1.0 is not able to be downgraded or that you can only downgrade from version ABC to XYZ. So my question is would it be possible for me to restore my tablet to 4.5.5.3 or am I stuck now with 5.6.1.0? I'm sorry, I'm not very tech savvy so I want to be sure before I try anything that might hurt the device. I'm not interested in rooting or installing other operating systems. I'm just a simple person that wishes they could have their simple Fire tablet back.
Thank you so much in advance!
It's downgradeable to 4.5.3. At least for Fire HD 6, It works somehow. I just tried it and succeed.
I just followed these steps (https://forum.xda-developers.com/fire-hd/general/how-to-downgrade-to-4-5-3-root-device-t3139351)
Thanks for your help. I followed the steps you listed and was able to downgrade to Fire OS 4.5.3. I successfully had the device up and running. The device also said "New update 4.5.5 available. Click here to update." I clicked yes, since this would return me to the OS 4.5.5 that I was originally running. The tablet showed the Fire logo and said "software updating." Then the screen went blank and now I can't turn the device on. What should I do?
