I can see from the firmware listings below that the Redmi K20/Mi9T Pro is on a cluster-fudge of different version numbers:
https://mirom.ezbox.idv.tw/en/phone/raphael/
Global: V11.0.2.0
China: V11.0.5.0
Russia: V11.0.1.0
India: V11.0.3.0
EEA: V11.0.4.0
Are these numbers incremental?
The release schedule shows the latest updates hit the channels for Global and EEA on 10th January. Their update versions are 11.0.2.0 and 11.0.4.0 respectively. On the above website the changelogs are similar for both. I'd assume that this could be the same update just numbered differently given it was released the same day on both channels; though it could also imply the Global channel is two updates behind. Which is it?
I can understand Chinese updates being newer but are all other regions on a wild mish-mash of versions
Edit: My best guess from what I've seen now is that the same update is released for India, China, EEA and Global with various commits added or removed - and in that region order going by dates. The current Russia update is clearly still on the initial MIUI11 update; not the second on the other four channels
It used to be much more f'd up than that before. They used to number latest version with lower number. For example their 9.xx.xx versions were latest and 10.xx.xx versions were older.
At least now they use the same base numbers and are incremental. lol

This isn't strictly true.
Stable ROMs are numbered as per standard, ie. Major version.minor version.build
So currently we're on major version 11, this is the first version of 11, so the minor version is still 0. The regional versions are on different build numbers though. China is on the highest build, 5. Therefore the latest stable Chinese release is 11.0.5.
Beta versions use a different system. The beta version numbers are based on the date of release, rather than actual release versions and are year.month.day. Last year, they used the final digit for the year. E.g. A beta version released on the 15th Dec 2019 would have build number of 9.12.15.
Since the new year, to avoid having the version number starting with zero, they have moved to using the last 2 digits for the year. So now e.g. A beta version released on 15th Jan 2020 would have a build number of 20.1.15
All this only explains for observation of differences between stable and beta releases. As for the OP question of differences between the stable release versions of the different regions, unfortunately I've yet to come across any insight in to the differences of versions numbers across the regions.

Yea, I said it used to be. And the beta versioning system still sounds all messed up. People will have a hard time to understand why they are doing this.

It basically depends upon the laziness of developers of those regions.

I read here that someone told that the NA7 ROM in fact is newer than the NB6 ROM but I don't found the thread with this discussion any more.
I know that NB6 is released in february and NA7 in january, but could this guy be right ?
His example was that for example the code of a vodafone ROM released in april could be older that the "actual" branding free code released in february.

NB6 2014/02 revision 6
NA7 2014/01revision 7
obviously NB6 is New!!
This information copied from rootSU stickies also explains how to work out your version of baseband/rom
How to work out when your baseband / ROM was released.
1) Take the last 3 characters from the name.
2) Compare the first of these characters against the below to get the year
L=2012
M=2013
N=2014
3) Compare the second of these characters against the below to get the month
A=January
B=February
C= March
D=April
E=May
F=June
G=July
H=August
J=September
K=October
L=November
k=December
4) take the last of the 3 characters and compare against the below to get the revision number
1=Revision 1
2=Revision 2
3=Revision 3
4=Revision 4
5=Revision 5
6=Revision 6
7=Revision 7
8=Revision 8
9=Revision 9
A=Revision 10
B=Revision 11
C=Revision 12
D=Revision 13
E=Revision 14
F=Revision 15
etc
example:
MG4 = 2013 - July - Revision 4
Hope that helps
new != better

No, they're Pixel exclusives.
Awesome I'll get superior battery life with the Bluetooth bug corrected compared to 7.0

Which goodies are you taking about? most of them are available if you are rooted.
From the Vodaphone Australia source of all this:
Android version: 7.1.1
Android security patch level: 5 December 2016
Baseband version: angler-03.78
Kernel version:
3.10.73-g4cd47b6 [email protected] #1 Fri Oct 21 04:38:12 UTC 2016
Build number: NMF26F
IMEI-SV: 78
*************************************
I note that the only thing mentioned above that differs from 7.1.1 DP2 is the second letter of the build number. DP2 is NPF26F, while upcoming release is NMF26F, indicating DP2 was from the P branch and the next build is from the M branch, but the dates of the builds are the same(?). Does this mean, assuming the Vodaphone website is accurate, that DP2 is essentially the final release?
Hopefully this will be be better than the dev version. I had horrible battery life with dev 7.1.1

Hmmm they just release 7.1.1 DP2.
Based on the build number and the timing it is probably same what was just released to beta couple weeks ago.
Help
Yea I heard of the December patch today is the 7th for me and I still havent gotten the PTA for 7.1.1
Can take several days to be pushed to all devices. Patience
Received 7.1.1 OTA yesterday.

I just bought a Chinese version BLA-TL100 but running L29 software. I bought it used and received it today.
I look under info and says it has October 1st security patch but my build number is 8.0.0.145(C636) and when I Google that build number it's showing sometime around july-august update?
When I check for updates it says I'm already up to date.
Am I on the latest update?

That's the latest build for your region (C636).
That's Asian region and both build and patch are the latest so you're good.
OK, let me ask this question. What mate 10 model has a later version then me?
L09 or?
I'm asking is cause my intentions was to buy the model/version that received updates the fastest.
Not sure if matters but I'm in the USA
what is the last firmware build for C636 ?

I am confused?? Do I have the Global rom? I got my Red Magic Mars via the phone swap after testing the first one.
Build Number - NX619J_ENCommon_V1.08
Android 9 Security patch - December 5th
I have been looking all over trying to find out what exactly this global rom is. Is it what I already have, not the Chinese rom right? If so, does the NA one available on the website from March 25th have a later build number than NX619J_ENCommon_V1.08?
If anyone takes the time to answer before I get official response from the red magic support team It would be much appreciated. Thanks
...
I have mars since February and I've been in that version since then, but before, I had flashed the Chinese rom.
I think something does not fit ... perhaps when flashing the Chinese rom something is ruined the otas? because the update package looks like for the chinese rom?
If your led strip does only green and you have google play you have global rom... If the multi colors work for notifications then you have Chinese rom
NA Global Rom v1.08

I know this is an older thread, but I have the NA version, purchased direct from the na.redmagic.gg site back in March. Upon power on, I immediately got the update from version v1.07 to v1.08. Here is my build number from the settings screen:
---Version: 1.08 (Android 9)
---Build number: NX619J_Z69_EN_WPJ0O_V1.08
---Android security patch level: December 5, 2018
This is the English ROM with the Google stock UI instead of the Chinese ROM with RedMagic OS. There have been no security updates after the initial ROM patch back in March 2019.
Hi, shall i try to install another region update manually? Anyone has information if update is coming soon.
All regions are still using Android 11 61.0.A.26.23, except for Russia with the even older 61.0.A.25.7
I just received an OTA update. My Xperia Pro-I is now running Android 12. My model number is slightly different (XQ-BE62). The build number is 61.1.F.2.2 (with March 2022 Security Update).
How is battery life and overall performance while navigating throughout the UI?
