Mine is running on 10.3.13.0 PFQEUXM or Europe rom. Im trying to install custom recovery and root it later. I'm in the process of downloading the files like the fastboot rom just incase i have to go back to stock or if something goes wrong. I also prefers to use global rom since im not in the Europe region. My question is if its okay to flash Global version or will it brick the device?

I heard somebody accidentally flashed EU ROM on global version of the device when restoring the device using MiFlash.
While it did not brick the phone, the wifi Mac address get messed up. So I don't recommend you to try this.
It is better to flash the ROM that correspond to your device varient, just in case something goes bad.
Switching between EU/GLOBAL works fine, it doesn't brick anything. When I tried it I had to perform factory reset, otherwise the phone did not boot up. So far no one came with confirmed list of differences, it is being speculated that EU ROM has better privacy protection due to more strict EU laws and that headphones volume is limited to conform the EU laws. But again, there hasn't been provided a single proof for these claims and it seems that they are functionally the same, sharing the same features (and bugs). In the past months, Global version received OTA update few days in advance of EU, but the latest update arrived at the same time. Personally I don't have any problem with the EU ROM.
Thanks guys, i was able to install global rom and twrp + root without any problem. One thing i noticed is that EU is on v10.3.13 and global is 10.3.12,but both of them has the December security patch so no worries.

"you can not flash via fastboot any official rom with different signature from the original one for your phone"
is this true regarding flashing???
Not sure...what rom are you trying to flash via fastboot?
no, its not the problem with me. actually i noticed many times here in razr flashing question about mismatched ROM and they are advised to check for their own region ROM only. i want advise regarding this only for precaution, as i had successfully flashed many EU ROM, a Brasil version, FTS 2.3 ROM, and ARctic one without any region mismatch problem. That's why to be on safer side, i want to know this so to avoid any future soft/hard brick problem.
I have flashed Artic, as well as a Brazilian ROM with success.

that's what i want to confirm. if theres so many people out there with having problem with flashing other regions ROM, and some of us are flashing different ROM with success, so if any DEV want to pin-point here whats exactly going on here with our RAZR. If we are so lucky having such 'unique' razrs or they are some unlucky ones having some not so 'unique' one.
DEV's help needed here.
I have a firmware question that I can't seem to find the answer to by searching. I am running arhd 11 on an att HTC one. Should I upgrade the firmware on my phone? Will there be any benefits to this since I am on att and not international? Also how do I go about updating the firmware and does it wipe the device? If I should upgrade, what it's the version I should download? Longtime Samsung user so please excuse the noobness.
If alls running well, then plz avoid ... however, in ARHD thread many AT&T users have updated the firmware without any side-effects
Best to post Q in that thread itself

It is currently not mandatory to flash the new firmware for ARHD, but it does provide a noticeable increase performance depending on the current firmware version you are running, I was running 1.26 on my AT&T m7 and the screen and touch buttons have been much more responsive now that I am running the new 2.24. Flashing the new firmware will also update the baseband, providing you with the latest radio (but performance of this will vary from region to region.
If you go to this link, it will give you some great instructions on the update process.

BTW, you will need to be s-off and change your cid to 11111111. As long as you take your time and follow the directions completely you will be fine. If you do update make sure you flash the firmware TWICE when it says to, and make sure you re-flash your custom recovery because it will get replaced during the updating process. This process will not delete your sd card and you will be able to run your current ARHD, but it is recommended to do a clean install after. And you might as well since 12.0 is out.
hope this helps
I'm getting a failed not allowed error when trying to 'fastboot flash zip'
I successfully have s-off and changed CID but can't get firmware to flash
Edit: not sure what happened but I was able to push the zip successfully. Maybe from adding the path of the file instead of just the zip file? Anyway, it worked.
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
IF the rom is tweaked right theres no real reason to update the firmware to euro build,Id wait till att variant or the dev variant gets the update and then worry about it.
I want to find a sm-9005 firmware for my sm-900t, at t-mobile, they rooted my phone and installed something called lidroid with this firmware(sm-9005). So I flashed my phone with the sm-900t firmware, but after that happened, it became more annoying with boot sound. The other reasons why I need to find a sm-9005 firmware is because I need all language packs installed, and have it unlocked. So if anyone can help me find a sm-9005 firmware, unlocked or usable in us, with all languages(or just us english with chinese), I won't have to pay t-mobile another $25 dollars, just to just it fixed. But for now, I will try the UK firmware.

Well, when we are talking firmware here for Samsung devices, it means everything : system, modem, bootloader (if applicable), etc. What you would want would be referred to as a rom, which is just the operating system itself. Flashing actual firmware for another device would at best fail at the modem, at worst cause a brick (probably just soft on the T-mobile version). I find it very odd that T-mobile rooted your phone and put on an international based rom. So, now, you have the official T-Mobile firmware flashed through Odin, Kies, or Heimdall, or did you install just a stock based rom through a custom recovery? What update is it on now - Build Version and baseband?
T-mobile rooted it
Also when they rooted it, it came with philz touch recovery, they also voided my knox, and the knox apps were removed, I flashed a stock sm-900t firmware, because I wanted the knox apps, and every time after booting, 45-60 percent of ram were used up, so it was kinda laggy, but who knew lidroid was a good thing for my phone, it enabled me to use any downloaded app for multi task, and also same for pen window. But the kernel bricked the NFC.
I think you're the first person I've heard who WANTS Knox (unless needing it for work or warranty issues). Lol But you didn't answer my questions so I don't have a way to recommend something for you.
I solved it
It was just a rom, I tried using the uk firmware, it failed. at lidroid.com, you can download a rom that can install: sm-9005, sm-9006, sm-9008, sm-n900s roms, the only problem is that it will take about a day(not because of your internet) to download the rom. Thank you everyone that wanted to help me.
Hello everyone.. I just wanted to know if there is an officiel Rom here that i can use to go back to completely stock.. I have sold My phone to a friend and I would like to go back to completely stock recovery and non root..
Can anyone point me in the right direction..
Use eui latest version avialble on XDA and flash it then flash your normal recovery but in my opinion leave Twrp open as I am pretty sure eui sucks coz official version is Android 6.0
You have to search, but here on xda is complete list of all IN, CN, and US roms
I installed the CN 26s, but it looks like a custom rom (it describes itself as "stable release" and in system update, it says there is an update to 6.0.030s "stable release"). I was hoping to find the firmware that would be considered "official" and relock the bootloader after installing so that it is as originally shipped - I'm looking to sell my phone to a UK shop which buys secondhand phones, but it would need to be as shipped by LeEco otherwise they won't buy it. Any pointers to restoring the shipped rom? I bought my phone from someone who had installed Lineage on the phone and had not backed up the originally shipped rom
Hey everyone. I'm a proud new owner of a Realme 6. I bought it as being a global version (model RMX2001) 4/128GB.
I updated but found out that the firmware version was RMX2001_11.B.33. I think it must be a Russian Version even though I bought it through a spanish online retailer, since the box comes in russian.
I checked and there was a version for the Indian Region (RMX2001_11.B.37)with the same changelog as the one for the European Region (RMX2001_11.B.34). I downloaded the firmware for the European Region (RMX2001_11.B.34) and updated through the recovery mode.
Can someone explain to me what are the consequences of doing such a thing since I updated a RMX2001 model with a RMX2001EU model? Also, does this mean that from now on I'll get the OTA updates for the RMX2001EU model, European Region or only the ones for the RMX2001 model, whatever region I got?
Any other input regarding this subject is deeply appreciated. I'm curious more than anything. Thanks!
my phone is also a eu model, and didnt get the latest update to.
what i did is realme.com india region/market and find the o.zip RMX2001_11.B.37 and installed
everything working just fine for me. so i think all those phones are just the same..

I got my phone from amazon spain. I live in switzerland.
The latest OTA was B.30 for me. I downloaded B.37 from Realme Site and also updated via recovery.
Everything works however.
The hardware is definitely the same in all phones. But somethings still different. Some phones are able to unlock bootloader (india models I think) while EU models cant.

I definitely updated my Global Version with the EU Firmware. And in the settings I have the RMX2001_11.B.34 Version (which is actually the same as the RMX2001_11.B.37 according to the changelog, but not the size). I prefer the EU version since it may have less bloatware and ads due to the European restrictions. Also, I live in Portugal so I think it's better to use the EU version, unless a more recent version is available.

That's the strange part. It seems all roms are interchangeable, but then, what are the differences? Actually, how can one know what is their region? I say mine must be from Russia due to the text in the box and it also had a russian app installed. I updated with the EU rom and the model still is RMX2001 (not RMX2001EU), but the version is RMX2001_11.B.34. So I used a RMX2001EU_11.B.34 rom and it updated to the RMX2001_11.B.34 (missing the EU part). Furthermore, all package names and MD5 checksum are the same, when compared. Therefore, I actually think it is all the same and one can use any rom to update.

I didnt even realize that I downloaded the "non EU" rom from the india site. I honestly dont know if I had an EU rom when I first booted up my phone. I dont remember seeing EU in the OTA settings. However the latest OTA for me was the b.30, which is why I updated to b.37 manually because i thought higher number = latest update
Yeah its very weird. I only know that there is a global and an india version of the phone. We definitely have the global one or else we would have trouble with the 4g signal (or at least me here in switzerland)
EDIT: I think im a little confused now. I think you mean you had the RMX2001EU_11.A.34 (with the A)
There is A and B. Probably A for global and B for india
on 4pda forum some members mention that RU firmware supports "call recording", in all other roms(incl. EU) thats restricted due legal laws

You're right. I updated with the RMX2001EU_11.A.34 firmware version. Actually, I must have updated to the RMX2001_11.B.33 via OTA and then by updating with the RMX2001EU_11.B.34, I ended up with the build number RMX2001_11.A.34. At least that's what shows up.
I honestly think we can use whichever we want that any will work. I'll stick to the EU versions.

So supposedly, you downgraded... This is definitely weird! ahah As long as nothing is bricked, it's fine. At least we know that we can update with any version.
Also, on a separate note, does anyone know how to check volte and vowifi? Or enable it?

Well, both versions are supposed to bring the very same updates. I'd rather wanted to be on EU version too, even if its just for the file name and nothing else lol. My phone probably shipped with the A version and I mistakenly updated it to B
if you look at the changelog it is the same for both versions

Hi. I want to buy a realme 6 in Spain but I need to record calls. The EU version does not allow to record calls, but the Indian Rom does include call recording. I have read that you installed the Indian version, can you see if you have the option to record calls?
To change rom is just install? There is no need to open bootloader, right? Can the Indian Rom be used in any country? I want to use in Spain
Thank you very much.

But I think it is only necessary to change the EU rom to a RU or Indian Rom. Do I need to unlock bootloader just to switch to a Rom from another country? It's strange...
