Hello
is there way to update Teclast Master T10 ( android 7) to latest android version ?
thank you
I have the same question!
Any answers?
No. An insufficient number of these were sold, and the manufacture abandoned support for the device too quickly, for any significant “ROM chef” community to grow and remain sustained.
The bottom line seems to be this - if you are your device’s useful lifespan to be extended by any kind of third party support, then don’t an buy off-brand Chinese one. Stick to well-known international brands who have a reputation to protect.
现在有比自带的包好的嘛

Hi there,
I currently own an HTC Desire Bravo and was thinking of upgrading to a china phone with a MTK6577 CPU. I haven't made up my mind which model in particular to purchase yet as I would like it to have some level of rom support in XDA. A while ago, I had bought a china tablet (P10AN01, also going by brand names: Advent Vega, Viewpad 10s) and chose this model *because* it had it's own section in the XDA forums. These china stuff is really amazing as if you choose carefully may land you a device rivaling it's more expensive branded phones at a fraction of the price.
I don't expect there will be a section for every variant of china phone as even searching for MTK6577 CPU based phones returns a myriad of phones with different specs.
I would basically like to know if it is possible to use ROMs designed from other popular (and supported on XDA) phones on a made in china phone... If so, how would i know which would work?
am I correct in assuming that a ROM for a supported phone with similar specs would likely work? for example, an HTC phone with MTK6577 CPU 1GB ram and 4GB rom would work on a china phone with MTK6577 CPU and 1GB ram and 4GB rom?
Many thanks in advance for your support
Hello everybody,
Please, I have the intension to make a android tablet in my name in China but I'd like to know if anyone can guide me to achieve this.
thank you for your support
you may begin to contact some OEM thanks to alibaba.com : just search "android tablet", select the products that appear to be "acceptable" and contact the company! Many of them can easily work as white-label and personnalize their products if you buy a few hundred of them...
but pay attention to quality! (you won't work with samsung but with small companies that have the propension to build bad/cheap products). Try to work with an experienced guy who knows how this type of sourcing works!
IF ANY ONE IS INTERESTED I HAVE THE OPEN SOURCE FILE FOR THE LENOVO S650 MINI VIBE X , I HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE OF COMPILING ROMS FROM SOURCE BUT IF SOMEONE WANTS TO TRY I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE ANY EFFORTS.
MOSTLY MULTI LANGUAGE IS NEEDED WITH FULL RTL SUPPORT IF IT CAN BE DONE AND AS CLOSE TO AOSP AS POSSIBLE.
CURRENTLY ONLY CHINESE AND RUSSIAN ROMS AVAILABLE WITH 1 OF THE CHINESE BEING MULTI LANGUAGE BUT TOO MUCH STILL IN CHINESE.
I DON'T KNOW EXACTLY WHAT IS NEEDED BUT LET ME KNOW IF CURRENT ROMS ARE NEEDED OR LENOVO SOFTWARE, PC DRIVERS ETC
JUST SCROLL DOWN TO DOWNLOADS IN THIS PAGE FOR SOURCE FILE
http://mobilesupport.lenovo.com/us/en/products/s650_smartphone
WE ALL KNOW THAT THE CHINESE ARE PUMPING OUT PHONES FASTER THAN ANYONE AND ARE USING ANDROID FREELY TO MAKE THE ROMS BUT NOT SO GOOD AT GIVING BACK TO THE DEVELOPERS TO MAKE CUSTOM ROMS,
SO THIS REALLY IS MORE OF AN APPEAL, GIVEN THAT LENOVO HAVE POSTED THE SOURCE CODE, SHOWS THEY ARE OPEN TO DEVELOPMENT ON THEIR PHONES, ALSO GIVEN THEY ARE NOW A GOOGLE / MOTOROLA COMPANY AND DESERVE THE ATTENTION, EVEN IF IT IS THE ONLY MEDIATEK BRAND THAT GETS BACKING.!!!!
THEY MAY NOT BE FLAGSHIP DEVICES AND MEDIATEK IS VIEWED AS ' CHEAP ' BUT LENOVO, DESPITE THE BUDGET END APPEAL, ARE PRODUCING DEVICES CAPABLE OF BEATING ALL OF THE BIG BRANDS IN MOST PERFORMANCE RELATED TESTS !
WHY WOULD YOU NOT WANT TO GIVE IT A TRY !!!
I join the request, waiting for my parcel with this great phone!
Thanks for the support, it is really appreciated, is a great phone just takes a little bit of getting used to mediatek ! If you have connections please try to push this if you can, I am being pressured for news on the lenovo forums based on this request !!
Fingers crossed something good will come !
I too join the request
I too join the request
Custom roms
OK, so this request seems to be dead end !!
Luckily Some developers on the 4PDA site in Russia have come up with 3 Roms in the last few days !!
Please see my thread with the information and links here :

I have a Vertu Aster P Chinese clone, purchased from here https://www.luxuryvertu.cn/ProID473.html and since buying it, I've been desperate to try and update it from the Vertu-themed Android 6.0 Marshmallow that it came with.
They lie about the phone specs on their site that I got it from. It doesn't run Android 8.0 and it doesn't have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC .The genuine Vertu Aster P runs on Android 9.0 Pie, which is what this clone should have really come with, being a late 2019 phone and to stay true to the genuine Vertu. Trouble is, being a Chinese replica, and having an MTK SoC, there is no support for it. The manufacturers refuse to provide me with the kernel source code, so I'm at a dead end in terms of any Android development.
One thing I did notice is that the 'Device Info' app shows the device as being a 'gionee6755_66_m'. See the second attachment that I've uploaded. Does this mean anything to anyone? Is it the model of a specific Gionee handset? Could this be a clue as to what the Chinese clone makers based this phone off? If so, I do know of a few threads here and there on XDA related to Gionee development.
Also, in the third screenshot attachment that I've uploaded, you can see that the icons for data connection and aeroplane mode are rubbing up against each other, suggesting that someone has made a 'quick and dirty' fix to try and get both of the icons to fit the width of this phone's screen. Which also might suggest that this ROM was actually pulled from another device. Any thoughts?

Note that you on every Android device can fake its brand and/or model: you can even make it think to be an Apple iPhone 11 Pro. You also can fake its version of Android OS. What you can't (easily) change are descriptions of installed hardware components .
So one can't really say your device is a Vertu Aster P or Gionee6755_66_m or whatever.
What I think happened is that you got screwed.

I wasn't 'screwed' as such. That's a bit of a crass term. The device is of premium quality, feels as heavy as a genuine Vertu and really does look the part. And it performs perfectly fine on Android 6.0. The phone is fast and responsive and does whatever I need it to do.
That said, it wouldn't have caused them any more distress in putting Android 9.0 onto this phone. The MT6755 Helio P10 chipset that this clone has is more than capable of running 9.0. Why they didn't is a mystery to me.
Biggest drawback of Vivo mobile devices are its lack of system (Android and Funtouch bug fixes) and security updates OTA delivery compare to other brands (Realme, MI, Samsung,..)
Is there anything we can do to **PUSH** Vivo to make them accountable to provide better and faster software updates????
Due to this Vivo devices gets out dated too soon in market... And you end up looking for another brand device.
Unfortunately, Vivo does not realise this hampers there own brand value.
Thia was one of the biggest reason I moved away / refrain buying Huawei and specially Lenovo, LG, Motorola phones as all of them had very poor after sale software update Frequency..

I did some more research and seems Funtouch has improved a lot in terms of experience and ease of usage. Still require some quirks clean-up
However, X50 and X50 pro updates were very slow
So, if you buy Vivo's latest and greatest phone running on Funtouch or Android 11 there is no guarantee you will get Android 12 ( or on time). I couldn't find, on Vivo official site update release plan list anywhere.
Also what is the story of Origin OS ?? How Vivo's development team focusing on improving Funtouch or Origin OS??

Funtouch is developed for non Chinese market (stock based)
OriginOS is only for chinese devices
Funtouch global is more updated then chinese one. X51 (european version of X50 Pro) is on Android 11 from december and has March patches
