I bought a Redmi 8A with a Chinese ROM because it was on sale and I decided to flash it with a Global Rom - the OLIVELITEGLOBAL one. I already installed a full ADB with fastboot drivers and the Redmi 8A's drivers as well.
When I have the device on, it is listed on the list of devices under the adb devices command. After I use adb reboot bootloader, the Redmi 8A isn't there.
Am I doing something wrong? I'm following this btw: Flashing Guide - Android.

I tried a similar program, XiaMiFlash, and that worked perfectly for what I needed. Flashing through the adb doesn't seem to work.

Hey folks,
I tried now a lot and i already avoid my warranty of my new Huawei Y6 (2017), because I have already successfully unlocked the bootlocker (with adb fastload and the pin).
I already tried the Kingroot Computer and also the App Version in different App Versions. I also followed many instructions to root my device, but it don´t work.
So what i want to do is to recovery my apps via Titanium Backup (so i need root ).
My device, before the Huawei, was a Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo and there was no problem for me to root it.
The Problem is, that I have the new device of the Y6 (2017 Version):

I got a L11 model, (MYA-L11) I saw there's L11 and L41 model (doesn't matter anyway I believe...)
I've successfully unlocked the bootloader, but no working twrp found!!

Alright, nevermind, that Dropbox link came out from an "android blog" which seems a bot that posts random tutorials... That's why it's fake.
This phone was launched a few months ago already, it's a pity there's not a working twrp available yet.
I've not enough knowledge to make it for myself, hopefully someone is as kind as to help us with this task.

Flashed this Russian version on my y6 2017 MYA-L11 and managed to change language to english but cannot find version of SuperSU that will successfully root the device, it keeps failing when extracting ramdisk! Any suggestions?

Use magisk
It is extract, but can't mount su.img from "data" to patch Selinux, coz su bin files in this image (su.img). U must change install place to "cashe". In su updater-script. Ather that boot image can be patched(Selinux). It's not at all. Then su.img need to be copyed in "cashe" from "data" after every reboot. Autostart script can do it... it'll be systemless root.
For system root it is need to patch boot, do it permissive mode... and take my installer, replace my boot to ur patched boot.

More details could be required, Not all Supersu are suitable for this device so it refuses to boot.
I guess that you have a custom recovery like TWRP/OF/RW, if this is the case come back to it and search for supersu uninstaller zip and flash it, better use Magisk that is in constant development, version 17,1 is the last stable and it worked for me on all roms.

And what about details? What recovery are you using?, what android version?, are you sure that your device is Redmi 5 Plus and dont Redmi Note 5 Pro?.
Format data likely will solve the issue but just blindly without details trying to guide you.
Hello everyone, I have a redmi 6a android 9 pie 10.4.1 where when trying to root via magisk by injecting a boot image made by magisk the device no longer starts, just vibrates infinitely, when opening the rear caba and disconnecting the battery and connect on the usb cable on the pc the led lights up but the pc does not recognize, pressing the start + up button the pc makes connection noise but soon disconnects, can someone say what can i do to get back to life?
Try flashing a new boot image. your old one, to be exact. I've had this happen to me; i was stupid enough to try a pie vendor + boot image without reflashing the whole thing and had to pay ~12$ for some indian to get it fixed. his number is in the other thread (with the same issue) or on the interwebs since i don't want to feel like i'm advertising the guy. they just enter their miflash auth info and flash the new firmware.
I am in the same point. I flashed TWRP into the boot partition and when it reboot, the phone starts vibrating continously. I can't acces to fastboot mode.
I also have the same issue. Phones constantly reboots, no screen and not possible to go into fastboot/recovery. Any help?

I had the same Problem. I still had guarantee, have sent it back to the seller, they said it will go directly to Xiaomi Support Center. Waited for 7 weeks and got back a new Redmi 6a. Paid nothing, even not postal fees. Since then I'am more carefully flashing only ROMs from here.

got a BSOD! Getting black screen after Samsung boot logo. Sometimes 'turn off' and 'restart' button are shown and the camera seems to work.

If debugging was enabled, then you can try to pull out the photo on the plug-in total commander by adb

Then no. You could also remove the memory dump in .img and mount it in linux and remove what you need from there. But without debugging, this also cannot be done.

They write: any single-file firmware does not lead to loss of user data. But one Android version is desirable, rollback to the old OS version is not recommended
