Weird battery issues - Honor 8X Questions & Answers

So basically the phone is alright when I have 1 app in the background and use it slowly but the moment I open more than 1 app in succession the phone freezes and restarts with either very low battery percentage, bootloops until I plug it in the charger or restarts in emergency back up mode. It's been doing this for about a month. Does anyone have any ideas? Appreciate it a lot

[Q] Unsolvable Problem - Display stays on / awake

Hi all,
I'm having a problem with my sgs2 that I'm unable to solve.
The problem is that sometimes, not always, my phone does not enter sleep by itself. Infact it doesn't lock itself either.
Also, again sometimes, if I have a missed call alert or text the display lights up but then stays lit sat at the lock screen.
I've done some testing. I have tried different roms and tried the stock Samsung tom without modifying any settings and the problem remains.
If the phone is in my pocket then it can be a while before I notice. Today this happened for about an hour before I checked my phone. The phone was hot and the battery level had significantly dropped.
I've also noticed that with sound and vibrate switched off, sometimes when receiving a call the phone vibrates for 1/10 of a second. Everytime this has occurred the screen has stayed on after lighting up for the call.
I have wiped the user area on my phone but note this did not delete my music and pictures. Is this correct?
Any ideas? I'm really stumped and it's ruining the phone for me.
Thanks.
To see what apps/processes are causing the device to wakeup from deep sleep download and install Better Battery Stats and see under Partial Wakelocks.

[Q] Sleep/awake

Hey, at times, I have noticed that when I go to check my battery status, the "awake" part shows as a completely solid bar. That means there are lots of applications running in the background zapping my battery power. I have tried using task killers to stop those applications, but it still shows my phone being awake all the time, even though I have had my screen off for most of it. I think I read somewhere that when the phone has the screen off for a while, it would put itself in idle mode, shutting down other applications to save battery, that that never happens to me. I press the power button and the screen turns off, but that is the only battery saving I am doing with that. Is there any way I can put the phone into a sleep like state when I want? I do not want to turn my phone off all the time as I obviously need to use it, but I just do not want that much battery loss when I have the screen off. Thanks in advance for your help!
install betterbatterystats and bad ass battery monitor and find the app that sucks battery. disable or uninstall that app.

Random "Wake Up" Problem

Hello, for a few days now, I have noticed that my Prime will wake itself up randomly for almost no reason. It will be locked and sitting on my desk then suddenly the screen will pop on and do nothing. It is annoying since it is killing my battery since I have the screen set to stay on for 5 min. I am rooted on the .28 update, but it was happening before on.21 also. I have better battery stats installed also to monitor wake locks and it is registering allot, but I don't know what they mean, or how to stop them. Anyone else have this same problem, or a way to fix it? I will upload a screenshot from better battery stats shortly.
UPDATE: Just after posting this I left the tablet sitting and allowed it to do its wake ups whenever it wanted without touching it, then after about 15-20 cycles of sleep to awake, it came on with an android os window full screened in the background, a smaller battery warning in front of that, and on the top was the power down window that appears when you shutdown. Weird thing is the tablet is almost fully charged, and when I powered back on it had the same battery it did before freaking out and thinking it was dead.
NOTE: In the screenshot I have Samba Network file sharing open, this is normally not active when I am having the random wake ups, I just opened it to upload the screenshot from my pc.

Battery blinking and functional PROBLEM

I m using an custom rom, from spike. It was working very nice. Recently a problem starts. Maybe it have nothing to do with the rom, anyway, just in case you know what rom i'm using. (Spike.Pure.ICS-v7.6)
So, the problem is, the display stops to block automatic. It only blocks if i press the power button. If non, the screen decreases the brightness and stay turned on without block and off.
The batterry icon keep blinking without show the percentage, warped, it looks like a square , sometimes it back to normal shape and sometimes its becomes a square blinking
When i plug the usb cable it back to normal, shows the percentage and recharge but It doesnt tell me when its 100% anymore, no message on status bar notification as it used to show.
When the usb is pluged the "block" seems to back to normal too, as the configuration says, 15 seconds and screen turns off.
I already tryed to reset battery stats... i let the S2 discharge completely and then i charge to 100%, wait 2 hours plus then i reseted the stats.
No deal. Reset darwin cache.. same...
Plus, it keep telling on notification bar that i'm connected as storage device even when the usb is disconected. But if i connect it to PC it works normal.
Anyone know what can it be?
1. try search function
2. faulty usb port try to clean it with a clean brush, look for more details, or it may need to be changed
this is caused by humidity (dropped in water/snow, rained in it, high humidity area where you live)

Samsung J1 overheating problem

Hello,
I have a Samsung SM-J120M that's rooted with SuperSU and is on stock 5.1.1. The phone feels warmer than usual just above the Home button.
I open up CPU-Z and it tells me thermal_zone0 reaches temperatures up to 49°C (120° F), the battery never goes higher than 32° C (89.6° F), the CPU overheats only when it's not in standby. Oh, and all this is happening while it's 18°C outside my house.
This problem started four days ago, the same day I installed Nova Launcher. So I switched back to TouchWiz, yet the problem persists even after freezing Nova in ROM Toolbox Lite.
I wanted to restart in Safe Mode to see if I could solve the problem that way, but when I long press Power Off, I get no prompt. Even pressing Volume Down at the title screen didn't work (the screen hangs on there Samsung logo). I've wiped the cache partition. My microSD card is fine.
I don't know what else could be causing this.
If you could help me that'd be really great because this phone is very useful to me.
Thanks in advance.

Click to collapse
Try this for safe mode
With the device powered on, press and hold the Power button (located on the right edge) until the Phone options prompt appears then release.
Tap and hold Power off until the Reboot to Safe Mode prompt appears then release.
Tap Restart.
Note The restart process may take up to 45 seconds to complete.
Note Upon restart, Safe mode appears in the lower-left of the unlock/home screen.
also download from google play store Wakelock Detector [ROOT] .
Charge your phone 100% and then wait until goes low let's say 20% then open this app to see which apps drain your battery and which apps use most the cpu and cause high temp.
