Double tap to wake works only on TWRP after screen replacement - Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Questions & Answers

Hi guys!
I have this Redmi Note 4 with broken screen, so I decided to buy a replecement screen/touch to fix it.
The new touch works fine, but the double tap to wake only works on TWRP: It doesn't work anymore on ROMs (I've tried official and unofficial LineageOS 16). This feature worked with the old broken screen on both ROMs.
I also changed ROM and wiped everything, but it still doesn't work.
Is there anything related to new screen?
Thanks in advance for the help!

I got the same experience with my Redmi Note 4 with a replaced screen from a few weeks back.

Vibration Issue - RN3 Pro

My Redmi has a problem. The vibrator doesn't always work. If I shake the phone it starts working again for a few seconds. I read about this problem on other threads / forums too but I would like to know if removing the back cover and moving / blowing the vibrator a little bit would help. I would do that anyway but I'm not sure if I'll be able to easily snap the cover back in after removing it (maybe you have to break sth to open it?)
Thanks!

I had this issue when I installed Viper OS with Agni. Dirty flashed Viper. Installed ElementalX and lost Vibration.
Right now, I'm running AEX with ElementalX and it just started working this morning after I installed the ROM yesterday..

Honor 9 Home Button delay

Hello , i own Honor 9 for 3 days and its very good phone.
Only thing that i "hate" is when i press home button there is like 0.5 sec. delay before it goes to main screen...
I tried Factory reset, phone restart, google assist turned off - nothing seems to work
Finger print scanner works fast. No problem with it.
FW: B150
Any ideas how to fix it?
Thanks
That because a simple touch is like previous. And if you hold for a second you go directly to main page. So it's normal
Mine has the same. Strange thing is that after a few hours usage it turns fast/instant all of a sudden. Then if I reboot it's back to the delay and then fast again after a little time. My first unit did not have this behaviour it was fast at all times. It had a faster fingerprint reader too. Not sure what is going on other than some kind of hardware differences.
Its normal don't worry about that.I too had a donor phone so I know this
That is strange as the Honor 9 has one of the best fingerprint scanners on the market.

Even past Huawei and Honor fingerprint scanners were much faster than those used in other android OEMs.

That's definitely not normal. I've made a video https://youtu.be/DG4PvJePUAY
You can see a noticeable difference on the left phone.
I'm returning mine as this seems like hardware defect to me.
I have the same problem. Is it really an hardware problem and it is not possible to fix it by software?
Same here. Sometimes it even stops working, but rebooting brings it back (to delayed mode). Unlocking with fingerprint scanner always works super fast though. Anyone else with the same issue?
I got my AL10 version from china some days ago and i dont have any delay issues with the home button. Its really fast without any delay.
Maybe the ones from you that got problems should write down their version and used firmware. So we can compare. I dont think that this is a hardware issue.
I just assumed it was a hardware issue as it stayed even though I did a factory reset. Maybe a future update fixes it but I wouldn't risk it because my phone was new and I wanted one that was all good.
Settings
You can just go to the developer settings and tick "animation time" to 0,5

Maybe it's an issue with the update running on your phone.
just bought honor 9 and I have the same problem with the home button delay. Is it a hardware or software problem? has anyone solved the issues?

If the fingerprint sensor works really fast, then it's a software issue

Redmi 3 pro and replacement screen

Hello, today I wake up with one thing in my mind...update to nougat, because i'm still on mokee marshmallow rom. Well, after flashing lineage os 14.1 , I had a not so beatiful surprise...touch screen isn't working
So I try some other nougat roms, but nothing...touch screen isn't work. Now i'm a patient person, but this time.... so I investigate and found what's probably the problem, i replaced the screen (display + digitizer) some time ago and obviously is not an original part. Now what can I do to fix this problem? I think is a kernel related problem, but my knowledge isn't good enough.

touch not responding sometimes

Redmi note 5 bought on August at first everything worked fine but after miui 10 update touch isn't responding while gaming or chatting any ideas or should i reach service centre

I am pretty much sure it is a hardware problem. Are you considering replacing it?
I've already got screen replaced once as my replacement period according to Xiaomi viz. 3mths was over so i doubt there is any solution
use Pixel experience rom...i switched to pixel rom after 10.3.4.0
try malakas display oc kernel...
I don't think you can fix it. it's a hardware issue.
I could tell you my version of the digitiser which is the one without problems but ever since i updated to 10.3.4 Xiaomi removed that Info from tapping 5 times on the kennel info and then lcm info.
Luckily i got the new panel without touch issues.
I'll try and find another way to check my digitiser model again but if my memory doesn't deceive me i think the tiamat is the one that has problems.
Edit: mine is ebbg digitiser not tiamat. Maybe you can improve with a different kennel.

Display OC is for display and not for touchscreen. It increases the refresh rate of the Display and it has nothing to do with touch responsiveness.

how did you checked the digitiser info?
After disable pocket/bag mode in settings, no more touch issues in my pocophone. I use miui.eu beta + franco kernel
Try the last beta version

In my case 2 days ago I was in a concert and I wanted to take some shoots. Opened the camera app, and touch was not responding at all.
I turn off the screen, then on, randomly started to press any place of the screen until I was able to get away from the app. (I restarted the phone few times and same thing happen)
