Seems obsoletism is occurring faster & faster.
upon release Feb 14 I upgraded to the galaxy s 5, now regret that move, at&t won't allow custom Rom! It's been getting glitchy, no clean up?! That's why I bought the dam thing... So last week I said f it. I bought the flagship iPhone, 6s plus 64... And again I'm regretting it's typical non functionality . Dam! oh well at least I look cool, right?. I hate the bloat of the quickly outdated Androids, they need to be replaced sooner & sooner.
Anyone tell me if custom Rom Is the way to go, on which device? I'm thinking about ditching my new iPhone 6s plus, but just learned that the nexus 6p has a fuse denying custom Rom to be ran. ? boo!
Another quick question, is there a particular forum that I might be interested in reading?
What does this have to do with the custom ROM called Paranoid Android?

I've been reading up once again, so paranoid android is custom Rom? Is it meant for any particular device, or anything goes? (Ask except for the galaxy s5 on the at&t network I presume)
Who is using paranoid android on which device and which is it working the best?
Oh, to clarify, I'm looking for a new & best device so far that I can use I the at&t network. I'm now on this new iPhone and I'm having a hard time navigating to find some good reads on relevant information. Which is the best device? And what is paranoid droid, open source for a community of developers?

Paranoid Android officially only supports nexus devices.
A custom ROM has to be developed specifically for a device, there isn't a universal ROM that you can download to just any device. You need a build made specifically for your device.
If you want advice about a particular device, you need to go to that devices forum section.
If you want advice about general Android usage, visit the general Android forum section.
This forum section is dedicated to the Paranoid Android project.

XDA has how many users across how many forum sections?
I have no idea what's out there. Nonetheless, this discussion doesn't belong in this forum section.
So I've been looking through the V10 Android Development threads and wondering if someone can give me an idea of what it's been like on XDA with the V10 in terms of Dev support/ROMs/ etc? Doesn't look like there's been much interest in this phone from Devs? Is there a reason why? Locked bootloader? No "sources" released? Is there a CM ROM available anywhere?
Reason I ask is because I'm seriously considering getting a V20 which looks like a great phone and I've always had Nexus phones in the past. Currently rocking a Nexus 5 which I still love. The V20 looks to me almost like a larger more modern and advanced Nexus 5 (both made by LG). The G5 I saw in a phone shop and it really didn't appeal to me (build quality seemed poor). What's the likelihood the V20 will get decent Dev support? Is there anything that will make it more likely?
The answer is NO, V10 dont have development because in some markets they still have locked bootloader and developers dont care about this kind of devices...if they cant do their job well and for all variants of the phone!
also the unlocked version of V10 doesnt have CM support and i think never will have. V20 will be the same history like V10, no bootloaders unlocked, no development, if you want a phone to install custom rom's and so on you never should get a LG phone, you should go for Xiaomi or other brand, and most importante Mediatek devices have more development than Qualcomm ones, so...if you dont care about the processor battle get a Mediatek phone.
Awesome if I want CM, development, unlocked bootloaders, etc I have to by a piece of s**t. Horray.
Hi Good people
I am new in this forum, never used a Samsung device before.
I just want to know all the good things about this phone specially what is the current best Custom Rom for our device in your sense and why?
Hey everyone,
I don't no if anyone has noticed, compared to most flagship devices the S9+ doesn't have much custom Rom activity going on for it at present.
Are people actually developing roms for this device as even the standard S9 has more choice for roms to install.
I have the international G965F and would love to see some more options for our device from people who have made samsung roms great in the past e.g. bobcat, allience and so on.
At present I'm running soldiers custom Rom but would love to see more available in the coming weeks which isn't all AOSP based.
Unfortunately we are not going to get the Android P software anytime soon, but more options on Oreo would be great to choose from.
+1
I would assume the S9 roms could easily be ported to this device, best bet is to talk to the developers about it.
joke what xiaomi does. deliberately bought a3 because i like stock android. but it doesn't take months to release the promised update, and after the buggy wastes the software. so there is nothing more than a custom rom.
So what the best android 10 based custom rom ?
There is no best ROM it is completely subjective. It depends what you want and what you like.
If there was one 'best rom' than no other ROM would exist because what's the point.
You have to try to see what is right for you.
That's like saying what is the best car in the world you will get a lot of different answers because people have different tastes.
What exactly are you looking for? Battery life? Performance? In between? A lot of customisation? There are many things to consider
I have tested all roms. Syberia is best
