Hi guys,
recently I noticed that the new Play Store was filtering a whole lot of apps for my device which actually were working just fine on it. The nasty thing about this is, that Ill have to search through the whole web by looking for the same app and then download it and then find out its not the most up-to-date-version, which is freaking me out.
Now Ive been wondering if theres a solution to make the Play Store show all apps so that I can download anything that is in the app store and find out for myself whether it works on my Tablet or not.
Thanks a lot for the help!
Leo
Many of you may have noticed the recent YouTube video Innocence of Islam causing widespread chaos and uproar among the muslim countries. Governments took the appropriate action and banned youtube altogether in their respective countries. But appropriate would be the wrong word choice when other google services like gmail, google play, google drive etc are being affected as well!!
I'm in Bangladesh and for the past few days I've been frequently unable to sync gmail on my Galaxy S3. I checked further and noticed that I can't access Gplay on my phone either. Google now unable to connect either. On my pc though I can access gmail, but cannot access google play. At first I thought this might be a problem with my phone or my internet connection- which made me try several things like flashing other ROMs, changing kernels etc- but then I heard that my friends been having the same problem- and finally came across an article on the net also.
This is all very frustrating for me and for all of you who happens to live in a place where the blocking of youtube is causing your android phone to become almost like a brick doing nothing I just hope the youtube ban is uplifted soon or else I'm thinking setting up a proxy server might be of help

I current have the latest YouTube app on my tablet and phone (Nexus 10 and 4) and for some strange reason, after the recent upgrade to 4.4.11 of the app, YouTube would crash everytime I try to watch any video. Attempts to clean cache/data and revert to older version of the app were unsuccessful too although it would not crash. I tried searching the forum but didn't find any reports of people having problems lately. I must also mention that my YouTube account was banned some time ago due to some lame reason with a few foreign variety show video clips I posted being reported. Long story short, I was able to still watch YouTube clips previously with the app, without being successfully signed in. Both of my devices are on stock 4.2.2 with custom kernel and rooted of course.
Anyone got an idea?

Have the same problem on my Xperia S, also every time it's crash I need to On/Off my WiFi connection, comments in Google Market shows, that, at least, some people faced this problem too, so waiting for fix. For me the youtube app was perfect and completely bugless until last update.
Hi everyone,
A few days ago I got the new Facebook UI with the built-in video player+auto-play, It's very laggy (every time it auto-plays videos) and it's impossible to download the videos. I really don't know what facebook developers thought when they decided to make such a terrible update. I want to downgrade to an earlier version that still have the option to choose a video player (and download the video) and more important without the auto-play function.
How can I do it? Which version to look for?
Thanks

Depends on whether or not your phone came preloaded with Facebook. If it did, you would uninstall the update in your Settings / Applications (or Application Manager, depending on the phone) and then make sure it's not enabled to Auto Update it in the Play Store.. If it didn't come preloaded with the phone and you initially installed it from the Play Store, then go to the Settings / App section again and find out what update that is, and Google for the Facebook apk and find the newest one that isn't that one that is giving you issues.
I successfully installed older version with the old UI, but I still can't get it to pop up the video player selection :/
I dunno, I don't do Facebook really, and I have no clue which version you installed, so yea...
Have you seen this?

This is so annoying, I successfully got the video player to pop up, but after a day it stopped working. The Facebook didn't update, it's like in-app update that can't be blocked.
Use this then download messenger and freeze the messenger app using your favorite program to freeze apps like lucky patcher or android tuner. Now you can download videos and use your inbox without using that stupid messenger app. Press thanks I'd I helped you out
Im aware this has might have been discussed previously but this morning I enabled the WiFi on my phone and noticed the phone wont stop receiving and transmitting. I don't understand why this is happening and are there any consequences to disabling Google play services from the android control panel if that'll even work. There is also something on the play store that claims to fix this but it seems shady.. Thanks
Happens sometimes (like once a month) to me too. A restart of the phone fixes it for me.
Happened with my old N5 too, btw, it isn't a Sony specific issue.
