My new Vince was showing 4.5gb system storage after unboxing.
I did the following:
1. Unlocked device.
2. Installed TWRP, then, Orange Fox.
3. Formatted, then, Installed Custom ROM (Havoc)
4. Switched back to stock miui through mi flash tool.
5. Now my system storage is showing 8.21GB.
Why not the actual system size.
Thanks for help.

Hi
I have flashed the cyanogenmod 7.1.0 on my htc legend which went fine, but after som time i realized the gps wasn't working, i tried for severel hours all kinds of gps fix advices i found in google but without any luck.
Because of this i want to go back to stock android 2.2 or 2.3 if possible.
I am having some problems returning to stock android and again tried severel guides.
I tried downloading the newest htc sync and run a RUU update but the updater can not connect to the phone, no htc sync support in cyanogenmod is the problem i think.
I tried downloadning severel different image files of different versions of android on to the sd card and rebot to recovery mode throug clockwork and tried flash a zip file from sd card. But either the update stops because the file is "bad" or it need a newer version of something the cyanogenmod updated when it was installed.
I can see i should be able to do a nandroid backup if i have made such one, guess the guide i used didnt mention that, only i shoud remember to backup my pictures/music/sms....
If you need any more information please ask
Hi,
try this sequence:
1. Open ROM manager application
2. Scroll down to "All clockworkMod recoveries" and click on it
3. choose from that list 2.5.0.7 and press OK
4. Now download a sense ROM from XDA like Blay0's ROM here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=866849 (if you want to keep this rom download also the patch for upgrade to b0.8.4)
5. Copy the ROM and patch to the SD card
6. From the ROM manager reboot into recovery
7. In recovery mode wipe data and cache
8. Still in recovery mode instal zip from SD card: first the b0.8 ROM and then the b0.8.4 patch
9 Reboot
Now you should have a stock based ROM and do whatever you like (go back to really stock rom which I don't reccommend)
Let me know how it works!
Thanks ill give it a try
After coming from stock I rooted and installed imperium, in it's aroma installer I choose to have nexus 5 walpapers, then after I reflashed stock rom via odin and rooted, then reflashed a custom rom in the path emulated/0/0/imperiun there are about 15nexus 5 walls, if I delete them after a restart they reappear, if I delete hem through my laptop after a reboot they are still there. I always do a ful whipe when installing a new rom, eaven when I update, but they are still there. Is there a way to get rig of them, or to format the emulated folder when I install a new rom?

Yes there is a way to totally format your whole phone (even the system folder). MegaWipe can do that: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1832326
Note: MegaWipe will delete your ROM from your phone as well, so you will need to download a ROM and place it in your external sd and after flashing MegaWipe, flash the ROM without rebooting the phone. Because there will be no system to load if you install no ROM.
This is one way to do that. I think there are other ways to do this also.
Thank you.

Thank you! This is very helpful
I have a Verizon droid RAZR that the screen has cracked in many places. I have bought a new phone and have no plans for ever using this as a phone. What I would like to do is install a ROM over the stock one, not dual boot both. I was also wanting to get rid of all of the phone stuff, no Verizon apps, no SMS, and no phone logs. I would use this like a tablet and would love to save as much space as possible. I don't need the moto docks (I don't have one). Basicly strip this thing down to just bare necessities. Is it even possible to do this? If so is there a ROM that gets great battery life? Thanks for reading my question.

You can flash ROM on your stock slot and then delete the useless apks.
Try any AOSP ROM. It should work fine.
Tapatalk with RAZR HD
I have downloaded tonyt's aokp rom. I have extracted the rom to its own folder and have looked at the apps in the app folder. System>app. I am not sure which of these I can get rid of. I would like to get ride of anything that is VZW or phone related just keeping maybe the contacts. I dont know what apps should be gotten rid of with out breaking the rom. Sorry I'm a noob. All I have done was flash a few roms, never tried to remove apks before. Do I need a cellphone broadcast for location services like maps and for the in browser location? I have safestrap installed. It will not let me flash a rom over stock rom. I am trying to find a way to get cwm or twrp installed instead.
ok bricked my phone. Device would restart and get the red moto logo, then nothing, blank black screen. rebooted the phone and could not get to safestrap. Used Matt's utility to install jb and reroot phone.
The procedure that I used to install the rom on my stock image is as follows:
1. copied rom zip to micro sd card
2. booted to safestrap
3. wiped cache, delvic, and system
4. installed rom zip through safestrap
5. no errors got success
6. reboot got nothing
I think anything could still happen even if SafeStrap didnt indicate any error after installation, that's why backup is important, also this ;

Notice 2 - MAKE SURE you see "Update partition detail...." in SafeStrap log console before you press "Reboot System" or you will not get boot!

You will need to do a complete wipe when flashing a new ROM, including /data.
Use latest SS. And make sure the ROM is compatible with the latest SS.

How do I format the internal storage? I have about 3 roms I have running and I have games and apps that I have uninstalled that left behind folders in root folders and some apps that did not get uninstalled also left behind some data. I tried doing a factory reset and also tried using safestrap to wipe internal but it fails. I made a folder in my system folder and put 2 pics in it then factory reset, wiped system data, and checked every box in the advance wipe options and that folder (along with the others) are still there.

Every slot has its own /data partition.
After you activate a slot, wipe /data along with system and cache.
That is called full wipe. It will remove all your apps, files and user settings will be deleted.
Then flash your desired ROM.
Hi all,
I m facing a trouble with my Honor 9
I first installed the TRWP and magisk on my stock rom. After a day or two my files in the internal storage were been encrypted (except when I look them into twrp). I tried to flash and restore to stock but he didn't let me access to write on the internal storage. I try to move the update.app in the dload folder but it's too big for the fat 32 partition. I tried to extract the recovery.img and the system.img to reflash them with twrp but error each time. Tried to flash the zip directly error on 2 on 3. I tried to flash lineage 14.1 it s flash good until the end but the phone stops and make black screen re-enter after the booting message on bootloader and after 5mn its overheating. Tried another custom rom but it did the same... Any help of what I can do?
I can't restore by wiping its tells me no OS present
EDIT : I was finally success to be able to access back to normal with the HWOTA method. I was able to access to my sd card by a HUAWEI p8 lite 2017, i copied files onto instead of place them on the computer, it works i installed first the B130 update but the back buttons weren't working, finally did again the process with the B120 and it fixes all my troubles. Don't forget to format data one time to not be in my situation of encryption of system storage without a first official update (i have read that if you update your phone the encryption will be disabled because it's by default enabled.
Thanks to all this community because i found the solution here on the Rebrand Honor 9 Thread. Even if i had no answer here, i had to thanks all devs here who make a lot of hard work
You can now close this topic, I can't find where to close it by myself.
So i installed TWRP, SUPER SU, custom ROM (linageOs), now i need GApps but here i have a problem. I placed a zip folder that i need to install while android was turned ON, i went to TWRP and i can`t find this zip file.
I don`t have access to files while in TWRP recovery (pc says that device stopped working or has been plugged out).
TWRP says that internal storage is 0MB, but there are folders like acct, boot, cache etc...

Update your recovery. You are using an old version of TWRP. Use the one in the opening post of LineageOS thread or latest OrangeFox and you will be able to see your internal storage.
SuperSU is also outdated. Use Magisk instead (latest official version should be 17.1).
Flash ROM, flash GApps, flash Magisk and reboot your phone
