I was just wondering how one would make a RAW dump of a SD card and then later write back, Like a ISO from a disc for example.
The reason is because I want to backup my HD2 Android card but there is various files I can not seem to find/access via windows, Ive set all folder options to show hidden/system files etc but still cant, so wanted to dump the entire SD card so I can try another build of android out as one of my 8GB cards is for windows other currently has the EvoLeo rom on which is working well but the only other card I have over 1GB doesn't work when trying to boot android.

You could just rename the current Android folder you have on your SD Card to something else, and place the new Android ROM folder on the root of your SD card. If you don't like the new ROM then just delete the Android folder and rename the old one back to Android ^_^
That's what I've done, I have the Nexus One build in a different folder but I kept it on my SD card. The build that's in my 'Android' folder is a HTC Desire build
Hello all..... just a quick one..... I have a HD2, and have recently found that I cannot transfer files onto the SD card without running the chance of them not actually showing up. Sometime they do, sometimes they don't.
By the above I mean, if I transfer a music folder across which contains a dozen or so mp3..... the transfer appears to happen okay.... the green progress bar on the laptop takes the expected length of time and the folder appears in the directory of the HD2.... HOWEVER.... when I open this folder, the MP3s are not there????
I have had this with some other files (usually larger).... they appear to transfer across without problem, but once I disconnect the HD2's data lead and search through the storage card - nothing there!
I have a HD2, running WM 6.5 on thre latest Vodafone rom, and using an unbranded 32gb sd card.
Any help... VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!!!
I suggest you make a complete back up copy of all the contents of your SD card. hben reformat your SD card using the Fat 32 option. Also I suggest you take your SD card out of your HD2 and put it into a SD card reader and use it to reformat your SD card. All you have to do is find the SD card on your computer by going to My Coputer, it will be listed as a mass storage device or a removable drive. Right click it and select format and use option Fat 32.

First, I would try the re-formatting as discussed in the last post. However, did you try transferring via ActiveSync (assuming you were using the USB drive option)? There are two ways to transfer files on the HD2.
Are those files, by any chance, set to hidden?
If your sd card is an unbranded 32GB one bought from ebay it's most probably a fake...This behaviour is exactly what happens if the fake sd card is 2 or 4GB fooling you to think that it's 32GB one. Any file you transfer that exeeds the real storage capacity of the fake sd card will be lost.

That makes sense.... it was from ebay, and would account for the corruptions and problems which have occured since I swapped it for my 8gb.
I wonder if I have any recourse through eBay?
I've went back to my old 8gb card and everything working fine now.... duff card - confirmed....!
Alright, I have a Macbook Pro running OSX 10.7 and a Galaxy S4 with a new microSD card. I was able to initially insert the microSD card into the adapter, slide it into my Macbook Pro and transfer all of my desired music files. Put the card in my phone and it located the files no problem. Well I went today to add new files using both AFT and the SD card adapter but not files are able to be transferred to the card. AFT has no problem storing files on the internal memory so I'm guessing it's a problem with my SD card. Any ideas on what to do?
I've Googled a bit and was told to format my SD card and that should make it recognizable by my Macbook Pro again, but if I were to do this would this problem arise again once I insert the card back into my S4?
Does anyone have any tips on getting my OUKU (KK4.4) unit to recognize my Samsung 128gb microsd card to recognize so that I can play music from it. Its in the SD slot but when I pull up the directory I just get the "LOST DIR" folder. When I scan it with SD Scanner app nothing happens. I can see that all of my files are on the card by the size of the used space but the unit just wont recognize the files and play them on MCU player or on Doubletwist.. Anybody else?
Hi. I have bought a new 128gbSD card to replace the 64gb card currently in my honor7. My old phone Samsung S3 used to show the card separately as 2 drives when plugged into Windows (7). I could copy the contents of the card as a back up and/or move files from the phone drive to the SD drive.
Now , when I connect my Honor 7 phone to win7, the phone only lists one directory showing all the contents together regardless of it being on the phone memory or the SD card. I need to copy the 64gb SD content onto the new 128gb SD card but I can't see it. Is there a setting or something I should be changing to achieve this. Gently please, I'm a noob when it comes to mobile techie things.
Thanks AJ
Use a micro sd to sd adapter and an sd usb adapter on your pc its the easiest and safest way
Or use this simply from you phone. No computer needed.
