You can change from one custom rom to another without falling back to the stock rom via TWRP.

Thanks in advance

Yes u can. Install TWRP recovery first then the firmware (since u r on marshmallow u need nougat firmware), then which ever rom u prefer.

For installation of custom rom you need the following
device
unlocked bootloader
custom recovery like twrp
rom package , gapps , other stuff like root addon , volume mod , sound mod etc
working brain :silly:
patience:silly:
Now let me answer you . Download your desired rom package for your device . And simply flash the rom and other stuff through twrp . The rom installation process may vary a little bit but the standard process is to BOOT TO TWRP
WIPE SYSTEM ,CACHE/ DALVIK, DATA
FLASH THE DESIRED ROM + GAPPS(OPTIONAL) + OTHER STUFF ( OPTIONAL )
and now finally reboot to system . Voila you are good to go . Hope you got what you asked . Thank you
Edit : didn't saw the above Post
Yes you need to flash firmware before rom
Thank you guys!

Dark Video Solution for Custom Roms

Hey!
I recently rooted my SD redmi note 4 and moved to Resurrection Remix 5.8.4, Everything is perfect except for video recording. It is quite dark. I flashed MIUI Camera port from A1 and the result stays the same. What have you guys done to counter this bug?
You have to flash stock muiu and back again to custom roms.
The eassy way to doo is download the stock rom from muiu frimware and flash it bu custom TWRP recovery.
Verry importhing thing is to flash a custom recovery right after you flash stock miui becase you will lose your twrp.
And try official LOS 14.1 its the best.
does it really work dude?
i was flashed xiaomi.eu rom 7.9.21, it same with stock rom right?
but after i flash cusrom, the video still dark
Xiaomi EU it isn't stock ROM, i have the same problem. Triying the solution proporse.

Cant go back to Miui rom

Guys i was on pure nexus rom
here the link
https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/development/rom-pure-nexus-substratum-fi-wifi-t3577060
its Development is closed now.
but i m stuck now
i wanna go back to stock miui roms by mi team.
i m flashing the rom but at the end my recovery say "No OS installed".
please help me .
i m thinking i m on wrong firmware.
using TWRP recovery.
Have you tried flashing an official fastboot rom in EDL Mode?
Alternative try Flashing with the XiaoMiTool
Latest Firmware can be got here.
Why you want to go back to MIUI, Instead of another custom rom is the big question?

You need to flasb through mi tool... Fastboot flash or in edl mode
Or if you don't want to get rid of TWRP and everything, you could try flashing a custom MIUI rom, i.e Xiaomi.eu, which is pretty much stock MIUI, with better ram management and other features.

Usually custom roms will come with their own custom kernel.
For compatibility reasons, it is not recommended to flash different kernels to a custom rom.
