Bypass Samsung Knox factory reset protection - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have an Android device supplied by my government for students and secured by Samsung Knox. However & unfortunately, I forgot the security pattern of the device and I want to hard reset it to access it again. But Knox prevents factory reset by all the ways :/
I have tried entering the pattern in a wrong way 20+ times but it still refuses to achieve a factory reset. I have also tried booting into Android recovery but the factory reset option says MDM disallows factory reset.
Also Google's Find My Device can't even detect the device so I can't reset it using Google's Find My Device. And developer options are disabled by Knox too so I can't do it using adb
I know that I have made it complex but its the truth and I was wondering if someone knows any way or PC tool to hard reset without USB debugging, or a PC tool that can enable USB debugging.
I don't want to flash ROMs because they will erase Knox which I shouldn't erase :/
Any help would be appreciated.

hard reset of a device with secure knox
I have exactly the same problem.
Can you share the solution if you found one?
Thanks.

I can enter "safe mode" but even there the tablet ask me for the password I haven't got in order to switch off the flight mode that prevents any attempt to locate the smartphone from the Samsung remote service.
Secured Knox prevents hard reset.
No password + flight mode on => Do I throw an almost new device to the bin?
There should be a way, I cannot imagine there is not way around this.

Odin mode is disabled by administrator
I don't know how could it be possible
so when pressing power button, volume down and home all together (samsung galaxy tab A sm-t585)
the device is ignoring me completely and boot normally into android
I need to flash another official firmware.
pleeeeeeease , can anyone give me a working method to flash that firmware.
Thanx in advance

you are forced to go to a samsung outlet to apply for a warranty

Anyone find a solution to this?

Update for posterity. I did find a way around this. You essentially have to re-flash your device - which isn't difficult, but it will result in losing all data on the device.
1. Enter download mode by holding vol+, vol- & power keys while plugging in your phone via USB to your computer (windows machines only). This must be done from a powered off status.
2. Download Odin
3. Download OEM firmware for your device (Samfirm or Firja tools can help with this)
4. Download Samsung USB drivers
5. With all of these tools and with your firmware obtained, go into download mode and flash your device.
6. Once complete, the device will format itself (you will lose all data) and boot into initial configuration mode where you can set up you device as if it were new.

Nope. Phone works as if it were new out of the box.

This procedure didn't work for me.
In order to factory reset, before flashing the stock firmware/ROM, I had to flash the TWRP and wipe everything.
Followed this procedure for my galaxy tab:
[RECOVERY] TWRP 2.8.3.0 for Galaxy Tab 4 8 inch
Support is discontinued. Between the 6 different variants that I made this recovery for, it has been downloaded less than 500 times total over a 2 month period. That tells me that this device is simply not popular enough for continued support...

It worked fine. Once wiped through recovery TWRP, I flashed the stock ROM and everything was fine and factory reset.
Unfortunately before starting I tried an auto root procedure but Knox recognized and locked everything (so the counter now is 0x1).

You can get to Odin mode with knox. Message me back and I’ll explain. You basically trick the device. Does it have removable battery?
I’ve done it on dozens of Xcover pro devices.

The first recommendation did not work for me, too. After the tab reboots, it says its installing the updates but up to 32% only, then it erases, then it goes back to the same problem.
Tried your quoted solution. However, upon installing twrp, it says it cant install because of frp lock. How do i go about it? Please help....

is there any way enable usb debug from Stock Recovery ?

Hello,
I have Samsung A5 2017, my cell has virus attack and every minute it restart automatically, all things are stocks so not able to reflash, reset device
is there any way usb debugging enabled from recovery/download mode ?
Not adb, but hold volume down while the phone is starting. A watermark will appear, "Safe Mode", the "virus", if not a root exploit, will not load and you could uninstall it. Also remove it from the device administrators & accessibility settings. If it doesn't work, hold volume up. If it doesn't work, press and hold the menu/recents key when the "SAMSUNG" logo and the brightness changes.

If you know your Google account details and you don't mind losing all your data reset your device.
It's unlikely it has compromised the system partition unless you were rooted.
If you were rooted then you may as well just wipe data with twrp.
Failing that reinstall the stock firmware.
nothing worked, i think virus at boot level, because can able to enter stock recovery, after factory reset result is same, tried with safe mode, but not work, not able to connect internet and reset device because it turn only 50 Seconds and rebooted, if i tried with odin than got error - FRP Lock, i also tried google device reset from web but it required internet connection on phone , so this option also not worked

If you have installed the correct firmware with odin and factory reset and your device still has issues then your problem is not related to a virus. More likely a hardware issue.

May be, but when i tried to install Custom Recovery CWM, TWRP it gaves message - custom binary blocked by frp lock
If i tried same firmware - then stuck without any reason - log say - recovery.img cancelled
why i think this is virus because i enabled usb debug and after auto reboot again its shows disabled , even i change wallpaper and reboot its showing same old wallpaper, means anything i do after 50 seconds revert back as it is, one kind device is locked

You can't install anything custom until OEM UNLOCK is enabled in settings.
Install the stock firmware with odin then factory reset in stock recovery.
You will need to enter your Google account details once the device has fully booted to disable FRP.

Yes, i tried , but not successes, after complete reboot i get 50 Seconds only, in this time period i can only enable usb debug, but when i enabled OEM unlock option, its automatically turn off without any error, and device reboot, so neither able to uninstall anything nor accessing via adb because 50 seconds its too less
even i connect with pc and try to format phone memory , after reboot all deleted file again available, even renamed files back to with same name

Forget about USB debugging it's not going to help you right now. I would try enabling OEM UNLOCK and then immediately power down the device BEFORE it reboots.

Qilive(smartphone) how to root Q8 series tutorial(q8s5in4gp-q8s55in4g2)

1-step
in order to root these qilive devices you will need...
magisk manager apk v5.6.4
stock boot.img file
working ADB to unlock oem and flash
2-step
lets get to it
place the magisk.apk and the stock boot.img
in the internal memory of your phone (downloads)
if you like to keep stuff organized :good:
3-step
follow the vídeo tutorial and use magisk manager
to patch your stock boot.img it will output a new
boot.img that includes magisk Root (patched_boot.img)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BF4_hnKgjFA
ps: major ty to hovatek team for this great tutorial
step-4 use Google drive or usb OTG to get the patched_
boot.img to your PC and place it in the ADB folder
once you have oem(bootloader) unlocked just
rename the patched_boot.img to boot.img
step-5
unlock oem, these qilive devices wont unlock
the bootloader even if you enable it in DEV options
enable USB debug in dev options
you will need to use ADB commands
command- adb devices
serial appears
command- adb reboot bootloader
phone reboots to fastboot mode
command- fastboot devices
serial appears
command- fastboot oem unlock
(MAJOR WARNING the fastboot
oem unlock will wipe/reset/factoryreset/delete your data)
after you give the command small letters will appear
on the phone screen(yes or no) hard to read dont be hasty plz
use VOLUME+ to select and VOLUME - to confirm
note: when my phone ended the unlock it whent back to
that black screen where you choose fastboot-recovery-restart
and was stuck there, side keys did nothing if this happens
just long press the power key for 10 sec it will shutdown
then press power again to turn on
first boot after unlock will take longer then normal dont freakout
after you unlock small letters will appear during boot up saying the device
is not safe unlocked ,you can later use ( fastboot oem lock )
step-6
flash the patched boot.img with ADB
command- adb devices
serial appears
command- adb reboot bootloader
phone reboots to fastboot mode
command- fastboot devices
serial appears
command- fastboot flash boot boot.img
finished/ok
command- fastboot reboot
and voila you should now have magisk
installed in the app drawer, open it!!
step-7 run the install one final time from the
magisk manager and install magisk V16 using
recomended option it will verify/patch the boot image
Do NOT select the AVB 2.0 BOX it will bootloop the phone
and your done, enjoy your qilive rooted phone.
from this point on you can use the fastboot
command- fastboot oem lock
to remove the letters in boot up about the
device not safe unlocked
WARNING oem lock
will WIPE/FACTORY RESET again (god damn it!!)
ps: i had to install twice in a row, major pain in the ....
Repeat step 7 after Wipe/Reset
here is the stock boot for 2 qilive models
you can get the stock firmware for any qilive
at this site www.doc-doapi.com/EM/qilive/smartph...te_3m-fdd-cs_mul_20170818-110645_songlixin_PC
and get the recovery or boot from the unpacked firmware file
ps:my phone is the Q8SIN4GP AND ITS WORKING FINE
A VERY SPECIAL TY to topjohnwu (magisk creator), this man is nothing
short of a God damn genius!! , and if you can donate to him.
hope this helps other qilive users to root:highfive:
quick note on the qilive models, they have two model names
the cliente name in my case Q8SIN4GP
and the factory name in my model its 882912
in order to download the right firmware for your model
you need the factory model witch is what appears in the qilive
site above, it will be in the back of the phone or the original
box on a sticker just bellow the bar code, full model exempl
:Q8SIN4GP/882912 my firmware serves several models,
these Q8 models all start with 88xxxx WARNING
dont try this using the wrong firmware/boot file or you will DAMAGE your phone
Help with BOOTLOOP problems, if you find your self stuck in a bootloop
the phone wont go past the qilive logo and just stays there, dont freak out
you will loose your data but there is a way out
just keep pressing power + Volume up until a black screen with 3 options appears
when it does let go, use Volume + to select option and Volume - to confirm
select Fastboot or alternative select recovery and then select reboot to bootloader
both option will place your phone in Fastboot mode, once in fastboot mode
connect your phone to PC and use ADB commands to fix/bootloop
command- fastboot devices
serial appears
command- fastboot oem unlock (skip this if you use phone unlocked)
a confirm action option appears on the phones screen
use Volume up to say YES / or Volume Down to say NO
Warning oem unlock will WIPE/Factory reset your phone
once it finishes the phone will be stuck on the
Recovery/fastboot/restart screen just long press the power key
until the phone shuts down
start the phone again using Power + Volume up when the black
screen with the 3 options come up, let go and use Volume up to
select Fastboot mode and confirm using Volume Down
Once in fastboot connect your phone to PC and use ADB commands
command- fastboot devices
serial apears
Here you will flash the magisk patched_boot.img
the same image you used to root your phone
command- fastboot flash boot boot.img
it will say finished-ok (or similar)
command- fastboot reboot
the boot up time will be longer than normal
but the phone should now complete the boot
and present the inicial setup screen, select language
enter your mail, the usual bla bla...
any way at this point just repeat step 7
to get root running again

hi phonedriller,
...well, i must have been an unlucky fisherman
an app i installed ended up giving me a soft brick (bootloop between qilive icon opening screen - btw still with the "warning" of "device is unsafe etc", i.e. oem still open - and black screen, qilive opening screen etcetcetc)
have cleaned cache; went for factory reset; etc
BUT: am presently stuck when trying to go via ADB (which used to work perfectly before) that somehow the usb drivers don't want to get installed properly. as a consequence, desktop cannot see devices.
and i cannot, for the sake of me, remember how i had succeeded before installing usb drivers.
could you please help?

PS: adb will not work if the phone is not booting to the OS
it will work if you manualy place the phone in fastboot AKA bootloader
MODE ,you see if it does not boot to OS then usb service is not working
use power + Volume up to enter the black menu
use the Volume up to select fastboot(bootloader) volume - to confirm
connect the phone to your PC
flash the boot.img, the same boot.img used to root (patched by magisk)
to see is adb is ok just run - fastboot devices
if a serial is presented then all other stuff should work
step 1 - reflash the boot img
step 2 - after the flash finishes - fastboot oem lock
message on the phone screen, confirm yes to lock
OEM
step 3- press power until it turns off
it should now complete the start up (boot)
if not working this method let me now
you can still flash the full factory firmware
using SP Flash Tool v5.17xx

dearphonedriller,
thank you so much for your speedy help.
followed the steps given by you. all is well, as you predicted, until step 3.
however:
phone (now without the "orange state" message, i.e. oem locked) still bootloops and short of ADB "fastboot devices" the desktop doesn't see the phone (and driver installation continues to fail), as per your PS (thanks!) i guess flashing the full factory firmware ("RC-mt6737...zip" quoted by you in your very first post) is next.
would you please point me to a basic-for-noobs tutorial or instruct me on the step-by-step commands/procedures using this zip file?!
HUGE thanks

Do you perhaps have link to Q8S5IN4GP stock rorm? Mine came with malware installed on it. I want to see if those were chinese who preinstalled or or was it decided by Auchan.

On my phone it came from factory and on the firmware file on 2 models , however only kasperky complains about malware on an system app called Helper bla bla bla i think its a false positive(i think) as no other antivirus or playstore ever found anything, but hey better investigate and be safe then sry right :good: maybe a ported cyanogen rom, ive look at a few rom port tutorials but my knowhow is limited + dont even have a working twrp yet, avg/avast/malwarebytes and a few others ,only kaspersky detects malware.

I had issues with adds being displayed at home screen and I was not able to close them. I had to use NetGuard to find that FOTA talks to 'adsup' and it is a known malware provider. I learned that some of the system apps try to talk with Alibaba servers and AdOppo (whatever it's called). Kaspersky might not be wrong, actually.
I'm trying to download stock firmware, but I don't know the file name. The website with it is locked, so unless I know exactly what I need, I cannot download it.

I guess the best thing would be a lineage or cyanogen ported rom(clean),ps i flashed the phone 2 times because of popups/adds and battery drain, however im aware that having root and installing tones of crasy stuff can fu.. Up any phone cheap or flagship, thus the firmware flashes,i discovered that having malwarebytes(premium)free for 30days keeps the phone clean and working fine,it seems that one is forced to buy from a main stream brand or risk this kind of thing, little to no support,no updates at all,bad security, the problem is certain apps if removed resoult in boot loop like this Helper app

Flashing is super easy use spflashtools or. Odin compiling a Rom is not , were you able to get the original firmware? You will need the original firware to get the boot and partition info from what i read so far
Unfortunately not. I will ask at the shop where I bought it how to contact tech. It should be freely available. I don't understand why Qilive restricted access to firmware.
I'll post when I learn anything.
Well, you can download the firmware if you know the file name. The bad news is, it seems the stock firmware has malware preinstalled. If there is anyone who could help confirm it. I have the ROM, and I can upload it to Google Drive if needed.
Hi all,
I'm coming back to a question lingering since the very first post here and mentioned again in post #9:
Is there a successful way to install TWRP on this Qilive model?
Re this topic:
- has anybody tried/has anybody been successful with the procedure described in post #9?
and
- has anybody seen the following TWRP builders' version (do an in-page search on Q8S55IN4G2)
https://twrpbuilder.github.io/fr/downloads/twrp/
with the download belonging to it
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=890129502657591798
???
any successful installations to report???
Wouldn't THAT be great!!??
thanks

SOLVED-Problem enter Downloading mode Factory Binary in Samsung Galaxy J3[SM-S367VL]

I flash SAMSUNG GALAXY J3 ORBIT SM-S367VL with Combination File and able to load Factory Binary Mode. Now I revert back to it's original Firmware. In the Factory Binary mode I enable Developer mode(enable OEM unlocking, USB Debugging), Reset Factory Data, and change USB Settings to ACM+DM+UTS+ADB. Now I want to boot the device in downloading mode. But when I pressed Volume Down + Power + Home key the downloading key is not appearing. Instead it shows a screen like below. Can any body help me to resolve the issue. And is there any tutorial available to disable Network Carrier Lock for the device?

I have the exact same phone, I even have the exact same screen. I tried to 300K tools posted by speechless. It recognizes the phone says it's in download mode but nothing changes on the screen, still reads: power reset or unknown upload mode. It's recognized by Odin the com turns blue, but never moves past 'SetupConnection'. Im not sure if I missed something or its my luck of the draw. Ive triple check everything list you had done. No idea at this point. Ordered a jig. Last ditch effort.
you will have to use an adb fastboot folder and enter the "adb reboot download" command and you will be able to install the firmware by odin.

This was my first thought when I first gave it a go. I have no adb connection with computer (device not detected. Recovery sideloading isn't possible, no USB connection read by computer. Drivers are installed, Dev options all correct (oem unlock checked, USB debug checked. Nothing has been overlooked, just completely stumped. I noticed I have permission thru Bluetooth to possibly install apps, but all attempts have proven faulty. I know it's not the USB port itself, I do get Samsung Modem detected if I force it into Power Reset/Unknown upload mode . USB jig didn't work, phone seems to ignore it's presents. I'm absolutely dumbfounded on this one.
Bump!
I have the same exact phone and am facing the same exact issue.
A friend gave me the phone. They had factory reset it before giving it to me. I could not proceed with the setup because of google verification. Asked the friend about it but they do not know the credentials, so I'm guessing they got the phone from someone else. Who knows?
After doing some research, I found combination roms to get rid of the google verification.
I was able to get the phone into download mode and used odin to flash the factory binary rom.
I then used the phone to enable USB debugging and OEM unlocking.
That is as far as I have gotten and I've spent two days searching for answers.
I can no longer get the phone into download mode and I've tried every supposed solution under the sun. A myriad of button combinations, both with and without the USB cable plugged into the phone. I've tried taking the battery out and holding down the buttons just after replacing the battery. I've tried holding down the VOL buttons just before plugging in the USB cable. Nothing works.
This is where my issue is a bit different from the OP's problem. I can get into recovery mode and I have the option to apply update through ADB.
In the CMD prompt on my PC, I use the command adb devices and it shows the phone connected and sideloaded, however no commands work for the phone itself. I can't apply any sort of rom. I can't push or pull files. I can't reboot or reboot download. It just says error: closed.
The phone in the ADB update mode says E:Failed to set driver control. No such device.
Installation Aborted.#1
E:Failed to set driver control. No such device.
I have literally tried everything. I don't need the phone, mind you. I have a google pixel and another Samsung galaxy that I had before the google phone. I just really want that feeling I get when I breathe life back into an otherwise useless device
That being said, I know that the Samsung Galaxy J3 Orbit (SM-S367VL) isn't a great phone but it could still serve a purpose if I could just get it to work.
If anyone can shed any light on the situation, I would be quite thankful.
with the mobile shown dial * # 0808 # and mark where it says adb and restart. then with the mobile on again open an adb fastboot folder and insert the command "adb reboot downloader" with the normal taught mobile (do not put power + button -). He will send them directly to downloader mode.
Do not try to put the phone in download mode with power button + volume button -. the command will send them with the mobile taught normal to downloader
With the j3 orbit sm-s367vl i flashed the factory binary then kept haveing the same issue about getting it to actually go into download mode best way i have found is by useing miracle box 2.27 an up to get it to go into download mode. Just have the phone powered on connect to computer open miracle box go to samsung tab scan ports select thr comport for your samsung an switch the auestion mark to where it says download mode an click go then it sends your j3 orbit into thr correct download mode you need to be able to flash the firmware
Hello,
Thanks for decently compiled guide to the OP. The steps are easy to follow and one can achieve this.
Tip: Incase you're stuck at the last step of trying to flash the CSC and your phone is booting into Factory Binary again, follow below steps -
1. Enter the Factory Binary Mode
2. Enable USB debugging on your device if needed.
3. Run adb on your computer (assuming you have it installed)
4. Connect your device to PC by USB cable
5. Verify device is recognized by adb devices
5. To boot into download mode for Samsung devices type in cmd window :
adb reboot download
6. Voila! Phone boots into download mode and you can install the firmware using Odin now.

Can you provide link to the S367VL Combination File please? Also, what exactly is the combination file? Is it a custom ROM? I have not been able to find any for this specific phone yet. Stock Tracfone/Samsung configuration is loaded with bloatware and I can't find accurate information on how to root it.

Thank-you so much!!! This worked for me on my J3 Orbit. I had thrown it in a drawer back in September thinking it was a lost cause after trying seemingly everything to put it into download mode. I dug it back out last night because my son needed a phone. Thank-you for the easy to follow instructions and your time.

Samsung download jig is what you need. It will force the phone into download mode. I had this same problem and it worked. They are only a few bucks to order online. But if you're like me and don't want to wait there are instructions online that tell you how to make one. Which was easy enough. I was able to do it without having any prior knowledge on that stuff. Hope this helps
So am I understanding correctly, that once the SM-S367VL Tracfone has ODIN on it, the stock ROM on the phone is then opened up and rooted and can be put on any compatible CDMA network like Verizon as long as you have a SIM card to use on Verizon for it?
Thanks so much for the information. Very much appreciate all the hard work done here.

Errrr Wait.....flashing SAMSUNG's Stock ROM for the phone (A Tracfone purchased at Walmart and never activated), VS the Tracfone ROM that is on it, is all that is necessary to do because then the phone is carrier unlocked as it is no longer running the Tracfone ROM but the Samsung Stock ROM......is this correct, please?
Thanks.

P.S. I know I sound Ultra NEWB here asking this, but I am totally unfamiliar with this particular phone.
I have hacked TONS of phones using TWRP.....Galaxy Nexus....and my new Moto G5s+ SE's and used Tiny's hack for the 2007 Droid INC Version 1 to get Android 4.4.4 on it (RUNS GREAT!) and Clockwork MOD initially and then TWRP 2.6.3.0 after a bit, so I know what's up, but am hoping someone can point me in the right direction so I don't brick the phone.
Need to know if I am flashing the combo package mentioned in this thread earlier (and where to get that) or if the goal is to just root the ROM via ODIN once it is in Downloader mode.
Or do you actually install ODIN to it as a recovery?
Never used ODIN either before.
Always been using ADB and flashing Clockwork mod or TWRP and then off to the races from there.
A LITTLE HELP PLEASE?!?!?!?!

i think downloading mode you use the volume up button
Once the combination is flashed, to reboot into Download mode, hold Home + Vol Down while plugging in the usb cord. Figured THAT out, now if only I could figure out how to flash stock firmware back, ANY of them! Either get a version error about the bootloader, or Odin flies through the flash, says PASS! but has absolutely no effect on the phone... Crap.
Any ideas??

sammobile doesn't carry the tracfone ROM for this model unfortunately. You can get the stock firmware from hardreset.info but you need to reboot into reovery and check the binary revision... the Ux number in the PDA version, that has to match on whatever you're flashing the phone with until you have the bootloader unlocked, then you can flash it or backflash it with whatever you want.
As for carrier unlocking it, you'll have to pay for that one, just flashing the stock binary for the J3 from Samsung won't remove that. Although I am curious as to whether the TMO J3 Orbit firmware will flash onto the TracFone version... You should be able to change the CSC with the factory firmware and ODIN.
the adb reboot download worked for me when stuck on factory binary mode

Bootloop problem on Xiaomi Mi8 Lite

Hello,
Just to put in case, currently I have a Xiaomi Mi8 Lite, Global ROM, Globad version (or at least that was described in Amazon) for a few weeks only. Last Saturday I received a notification on the new OTA MIUI update to version 10.3.1.0. I installed it in a normal way, it rebooted and then the Mi Recovery 3.0 menu popped up, with only 3 options: Reboot system (which takes takes you back to the same menu), Wipe Data and connect to Mi Assistant (which doesnt' work when connecting to PC). Appart from this, I have access to Fastboot by Vol- + Power button.
I have guarantee and I will return it back, so that doesn't worry me, the biggest problem is all the data I have there. I didn't have any back-up of my information/photos... nor uploaded in the cloud, and I really need to get them back.
I have tried to access through adb and get them via pull, but unfortunately I had not activated USB debug mode. Moreover, I can't install TWRP as the bootloader is locked, and if I want to open it, it will wipe all data.
To sum up, I have no USB debug enable, bootloader is locked and I want to save the data, anyone knows if there's a way to do it? Would it be possible to activate USB debugging via adb/fastboot somehow while on recovery?
Sorry if anything's unclear, and thanks in advance for any help!

up!
1. Hi , us I know that is not posible when USB debugging is not active !
2. If you are thinking about unlocking bootloader that will wipe all your data!
3. For problem that your device is stuck on recovery maybe bacause you updated your device with low that 40% and it is suck some way.
I should try in your place just to flash boot.img from 10.3.1.0 with fastboot and see if your device is boot up , so just to boot normaly to backup your data and after that do factory reset but remove all accounts !!! After that put your phone on charger and make sure your battery is fully charged, and then flash full stock firmware and again wipe data and do factory reset.
Download stock firmware from here:
https://bigota.d.miui.com/V10.3.1.0.PDTMIXM/miui_MI8LiteGlobal_V10.3.1.0.PDTMIXM_8f2efd3fd2_9.0.zip
Extract just boot.img and logo.img from (firmware upgrade folder) .
Do at your own risk ! ( I'm not responsible if you somehow lost your data!)
I face the same problem, the phone started to stuck in a bootloop overnight
Even if I try to enter to Fastboot it will reload in 2 sec
Any idea what to try? (it's stock, bootloader not opened, USB debugging is switched off)

oem unlocking dissapeared. model sm-A105GS/DS After attempted flash. (SOLVED)

the idea is to simply deggogle my a10. i found a few videos on how to do it. however i took the liberty of making a note of the base build number and after searching the internet, i found a firmware farchive that contained several md5 files. i figured i may need this in case anything went wrong.
so i went into settings and developer mode, turned on unlocking oem and usb debugging and attempted to flash the phone by booting into rescue mode (power off phone then power on while holding the volume up button) then selecting boot into bootlader from the menu before using a toll called odin on my pc, which given the threads i've seen on here, most of you are aware odin. i tried to flash the tar file reccomended on the site. odin reported failure. so without rebooting i flashed the firmware that matched my phone my selcting the respective md5 files and telling odin to do it. it reported neither success nor failure but gave a message of something like cs select. i have no idea what that means. however on rebooting the phone it booted fine. no errors or anything, just a completely reset phone. I like to add that this is not may main phone as i am a newbie on this area and wouldn't be so reckless as to experiment on my main phone. hower there is an app on there now called lazade which i beleiv is a shopping app based in the asian continent which isn't where i'm from. i unlocked developer mode once again as it had reset and found that the unlock oem option is missing. is it becasuse of the firmware i burned on it and to i need to reburn another? or is ther another way to get it back?
the baseband version is a105gdxu8cvg2
android 11

Your post isn't very clear....have you been able to unlock your bootloader?
The OEM Unlock toggle often disappears if 1) the bootloader is already unlocked, or 2) the system has not yet verified whether OEM unlocking is allowed. This is most likely not a firmware issue.

Assuming your bootloader is already unlocked, here is the TWRP thread for your device., which you probably could have found by searching. Instructions for flashing are in that thread. And here is the LineageOS 19.x GSI thread.
If you haven't unlocked your bootloader yet, that's your first step. Some devices are not bootloader unlockable.

looks like it's on. how do i disable it for this phone?
Turn the phone completely off, and leave it off for a few minutes. Then, while holding both Volume buttons together, plug in the USB cable. The device should start in Download mode. Hold Volume + until the bootloader unlock screen appears, then follow the prompt to unlock your bootloader. This will wipe data.

ADB only works in Android or in recovery mode. Samsung devices don't have a fastboot mode.

Yep. Since you don't already have TWRP installed, follow "Method 2" in the thread I linked.

yep it does. i had a little bit of trouble between installing the first and second file. it kept reporting a corrupt operating system but i noteiced it cycled a reboot wo i held hte power and volume up buttons together when it cycled. this allowed me into rescue mode. from there i was able to power down the phone so i could reboot it back into download mode then upload the rescue file contained in the zip file mentioned. after that it booted ok but keeps claiming that the operating system isn''t offician but then boots into android ok. i expect installing the disable_drm_very app wil fix that. then i can try installign a new os.
but that's for tomorrow
